Whenever I watch his interviews I wish they'd never end. I feel like I learn something too, despite them being 20+ years old... A very captivating man, he was ahead of his time. RIP Pac
I swear Pac was so damn smart I’ve never seen a 23 year old or anyone in their 20’s for that matter be that smart with a 🧠in their head Pac we love you you’re such a great influence on such a whole generation it’s still Thug Life Till we die 💯💯💯💯💯
Dom, yes he was smart but what pissed me off about tupac because he was smart at that time in Vegas in 1996 he was very stupid for getting into that fight that didn't concern him that got him kill.
I think you love him because he is Tupac. Because he was famous and carried out this "I'm a thug" image. If anything it's your husband that you should love. Tupac ain't no greater than malcolm x for instance. Not saying he wasn't great but I'm just saying I think you are more in love with his thug image than anything else
Tupac is a intellectual but his delivery is on point and funny at the same time. The man was and still is a inspiration to us all. RIP Makaveilli the Don!
Yeap, the government said, Ah another rapper, then they hear what he had to say, and his intelligence at another level and the amount of people following him, then they said, WAIT A FKG MINUTE. the off duty cops were sent to run him over him and his woman, while they were crossing the street, they failed and be was acquitted for shooting and hitting them, he shot one in the ass🤣, white man wanted him dead., there's many black man like him, like Ice Cube, but they stay silent., because they know.
it is incredible that someone at the age of 23, without formal education, can talk like this about very serious topics. exceptional, rare intelligence! What a shame he didn't have a chance. A true genius and a beautiful man.
Hello, can you help me? Translating this in spanish. There's a part that I don't understand what he's saying around min 9 "I'm getting paid, that's true but it's like ......" And this " if you really look at the situation, it's not ....... getting paid" heeelp pls
I know this was an old comment but you are incorrect about him. He was a ballet dancer in a private school. Just look up his 17 year old interview. Thug Life TuPac was not the real TuPac. In that interview he wouldn't even say Bitch. He says the B word and he would tell people not to cuss around him and didn't understand why they would get mad at him. Girls told him he was to nice and it wouldn't work out.
100%.!! This man transcended rap music. His message touched the hearts of many people worldwide, regardless of music taste, people just gravitated towards this man's message. I wish I was this articulate with my views as Pac was in this interview. He was a very special and rare soul. We should still have him here too 😢. Fly high Pac.
This broke my heart in a million pieces. I wish he could have made it. He had so much to offer, unvarnished, unfiltered. A bright light snuffed out in his prime. RIP 🙏🏽
He wasn't even in the prime of his life. He died when he was 25. Imagine who he would be today in his 50's. The knowledge he would have gained during those years. You see how intelligent he is on this video and he was only 23 at the time
Lord! He was truly an angel on earth. Thoroughly articulate, passionate, INTELLIGENT and boisterous. I can listen to him talk all damn day. My heart yearns for you more and more everyday Pac. We needed him; we NEED him!!! It’s a shame this world couldn’t love, uplift and appreciate this beautiful soul while physically here. He meant well, he deserved more!
Cheyanne Hicks ... I feel you.. I still feel like I lost a family member.. He's more than a rapper, he's a activist, a civil rights leader, our generations Malcolm X Martin Luther King. We lost a true icon. RIP PAC YOU ARE GREATLY MISSED, ALWAYS LOVED, AND WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN..
Straight philosophy, poetic, jewel, braveheart, loving, momma's boy, epic, one of a kind soul that we so rarely get to see. So yes you never want nothing to end because it's to us, for us, and from the heart.
One thing about this man he was wise , intellectual, intelligent, ambitious, loving, genuine, unique, & his poise during his interviews exuded a young man ahead of his time. I Thank God for him ❤️
There’s only very few human-beings in pop culture, let alone in history who have spoken with so much truth in their eyes... Tupac was one of them. You can see it in him.
Love how Tupac is so vulnerable in this interview. Love how he isn't afraid to answer hard touchy questions. Love the way he goes in-depth with his answers and allows us to tap into his experience.
He had too much to do and more to give to the generation but his 25yrs on earth was excellent . He not with us anymore but he remains the greatest of all time rapper
It's hard not to laugh at some of the things he predicted. Because of the insane accuracy of all of it. It's so beyond comprehension that all I can do is shake my head and laugh. So intelligent, intellectual, such charisma, such a way with word's. Somethings black people everywhere been trying to tell anybody that doesn't get.. And they never get it until Tupac explains it for them. He always knew exactly the right words to use to help people understand. Miss you so much Tupac. I hope this young generation is able to learn some things from you when they see your movie this summer. Maybe one of them will be the brain that you spark and inspire to change the world. R.I.P.
what prophetic wisdom that still resonates globally in every neighbourhood of colour...more than 20 years later, even in South Africa, adults & children being killed daily in our neighbourhoods - the govt still can't protect us from the gangsterism & crime in our areas...more than 20 years later it's still our war. More than 20 years later, we get it Tupac, they really don't care. Rest in Power my brother - because you were honest enough to speak truth to power!
"Everybody is getting pimped, whether you work a 9-5,or whether you work for yourself, your getting pimped by somebody. Thats not the crime, the crime is how long you allow yourself to be pimped"......thats some reall shit!
What 90% of the people don't understand about Tupac is he was actually educated and he did stand up for a purpose and that's what made him flip on everyone at the end of his life because he figured out that the people he stood for are not worth backing up anyways , even though the philosophy he shared on some of his music records wasn't completely matured because he was still young and lack of much experience in life i still agree with him on various things he was actually a thinker ahead of his time and he dealt with everything based on what's in his heart and that is what makes Tupac Shakur different , his mistake is he rushed retaliation by taking it to the wrong path, but again he was still young and i personally shall always have respect for this man simply because he wasn't a hypocrite and a woss , not to mention all the nobile humanitarian values he actually fought for and his acts of charity and his attempts to in power and improve poor communities ETC. ..
His music was done on purpose. Tupac is a lot smarter than you think. You used the “thug” image in his music to get the attention of the hood... then once they started listening that’s when he laced A LOT of his music with good messages and truth. That was an extremely intelligent thing to do. Because if he started right of the bat with positivity nobody would’ve ever listened to him.
Thug life misled generations facts look at what’s happening today and you’ll see he was a great influence. A great talent but a waste because of ego. He died gangbanging. Nuff said.
Tupac was a great interviewer. I loved this Ed Gordon interview because it seemed like he challenged him. It was funny then and now. I remember watching this.
20:06 I got the whole world fearing me at 23 wearing a 160 pounds. I haven't even started i haven't even wrote my plan out. They scared the vice president and president and every cop knowing me in every city. I haven't even wrote my plan yet ~2pac Shakur
Pac was a OG in his early 20's u would forget he was that young when he talk..in ya early 20's u still just having fun but he was diffrent and people forget that it was people in their 30's and above looking up to a young pac
What a beautiful, articulate young man who spoke truth. I cry a river of tears thinking about what 2Pac delivered to the world as a human being and through his profession; knowing that his life ended tragically, too early and unnecessarily is a real sadness: I am earnestly sorry about his death.😪😪
Love...Tupac...Love him!!! 23 years old in this clip...and has the wisdom of a 63 year old...Never too much...I could listen to him speak over and over again!!! THUGGISH SUPERSTAR!!
Miss u big bro. they understood completely...they were just afraid of your mind...you personified black society to a tee...we love you big bro. Thank you
It’s sad that he was this intelligent and then to backtrack with Death Row and lose his sight of what really made him one of the greatest minds in Hip-Hop RIP Pac 🕊️
His words speak so much truth and authenticity. He died way too early.. So many people needed him and he needed people to believe in him. He was too good for this planet. Rest in heavenly peace wherever you are pac xxx
Love this interview. The realest as real as it gets. Very smart, knowledgeable, intelligent, witty, understanding, worldly and wisely... very relatable there’s a piece of pac in a lot of us. One of a kind for sure. Humble but a force to be reckoned with. Polite and outspoken a lot of charisma. If it’s unrepeatable or difficult to feel...just try to put yourself in his shoes or our shoes and look at the angle from his perspective. It’s more then the rap songs that rappers typically rap about.. that’s just life that’s an Everyday thing... all that goes down city to city state to state.. you just gotta be in it or grew up in these environments and circumstances to realize and understand that rap song or whatever is a typical day. Now on the outside looking in ... it ain’t promoting violence he’s telling you what it is and what it ain’t... “ there’s understanding -when there’s a one in one - anyone - one on one you get to know a Person really and you end up getting something from that person you never thought you’d get you get the real person the true essence and vibe and humbleness and very strong minded. Far from what you assume or think of a person judging by the cover or what you read or hear about and/or media...” I been watching this full interview for years... and hopefully a lot more people watch this interview. Many were called.. but the chosen are a few...
to be honest, i’m 22. and it just blows me away how he still is reflective on himself when he was on top of the world at 23. i feel like if i was in his shoes at 23, i dont think i would be as poignant and reflective as he was man.. he’s a goat
A lot to learn from Tupac interviews. man is realest. RIP champ, GOAT, Legend. You a prophet to Ghetto mandem, like JESUS is to christians and Mohammed to muslims. Rest in Power Champ.
@ 18:00 a lot of us can relate …I think he was holding back tears when he started talking about his mother his eyes started watering a little bit , his emotions and body language changed up when discussing that the arrogance went away n those vulnerable emotions came out for a second
Pac knew Ed Gordon all them some sellouts but notice they tried to play him out yet feared his potential, and he was only 23 here. Makaveli da Don 👑 will always be the 🐐🐐
Pac looks like he’s Been a war. He was hurt but he couldn’t stop flowing passion. Not trying to compare Tupac/Jesus too much but the love and energy Tupac pushed out to the world after he departed is insurmountable.
I will keep saying this he had so much wisdom and knowledge way before his time he was in his 20s but his mindset was way above that till this day he will forever be my favorite rapper ❤️
PAC is one of they best rapper ever live on this earth its break my to see how he was so young and they killed him he had so much to live what I love about this interview my favourite line if I can't live free then I don't wanna be here cause god had curse me to see what life should be like PAC knew he had a short time
Wifey ( Mrs. Shenequa Shakur ) ❤es this interview my husband 2Pac Shakur & Gordon did ! I am proud of 2Pac ! They were keeping it real on the topics ! I ❤my husband 2Pac Shakur and thank God 2Pac is a live and well ! The shakurs( 2Pac & Shenequa ) happily 💍married & 💯☝️🙏
Have watched this interview loads of times, but each time I am impressed at not only how articulate Pac was but more so how he literally predicted the futures problems, which sadly are still a huge issue today. This interview could easily be misinterpreted as a current one if you didn’t know who Tupac was. The world has genuinely lost with the loss of him. RIP Tupac Shakur.......
