Well let's be clear, the music was written by Earl Klugh and Dave Grusin for "Living Inside Your Love" which is the original track that this is based on. They deserve most of the credit, bc the music is what we love here, not the editor who looped the music over and over to drums
@@AbleAnderson this is true of so many of the greatest 2pac beats, they use samples from 70s soul, R&B, and Blues music. At least the noticeable motifs do. a lot of people who listen to 90s hip hop would probably really enjoy soul and R&B if not for the soft-ass lyrics.
It's God GIVEN Blessed with God's WISDOM Slaughtering OPPOSITION Trapped in hostile CONDITIONS Hard LIVING on the streets where killers PUSH CLIPS IN - PUSH WIGS IN Snitches SINGING high NOTES - Spit on the JUDGE'S ROBES COLD CASES and STAIRCASES slinging DOPE Hunting for treasure TROVES
Take you back to where it started Where I got so broken hearted I could visualize the world and what I wanted then it’s darkness I been trynna let that spark in Rise above allat barking Built my armor tony starking
They'll never take me alive, I'm gettin' high with my four-five Cocked on these suckas, time to die Even as a youngster causin' ruckus on the back of the bus I was a fool all through high school, kickin' up dust But now I'm labeled as a troublemaker, who can you blame? Smokin' weed helped me take away the pain So I'm hopeless, rollin' down the freeway swervin', don't worry I'm 'bout to crash up on the curb 'cause my vision's blurry Maybe if they tried to understand me, what should I do? I had to feed my fuckin' family, what else could I do but be a thug? Out slangin' with the homies, fuck hangin' with them phonies in the club Got my mind on danger, never been a stranger to homicide My city's full of gang bangers and drive-bys Why do we die at an early age? He was so young but still a victim of the 12 gauge My memories of a corpse, mind full of sick thoughts And I ain't goin' back to court, so fuck what you thought I'm drinkin' Hennessey, runnin' from my enemies Will I live to be twenty-three? There's so much pain
I want to be like Pac and help today’s generation But in my path to greatness I had to make it through crooked cops and roadblocks Just surviving with 3.00$ next to the bus stop
EL SONIDO ES MI AMIGO CON EL ME GUIO Y ESCUCHO A MIS ENEMIGOS PUEDO OIR MIS LATIDOS ESTE FUE MI DESTINO TODO SE DERRUMBA COMO PIESAS DE DOMINÓ EL DIABLO ME DOMINÓ LO QUE QUIERO NO LO CONSIGO ESTOY VACIO HAY DIOS MIO POR QUE VINE A PAGAR ESTE CASTIGO
My time is now motherfuck what you heard. I spit that real shit you can feel in your bones whether you like me or not. Picture my pain growing piss poor with no father. I had to learn how to be a man at 16. Mom's doing her best but I'm hard headed doing things my way or it's the highway. I'm doing all that can at 16 i had to figure out what a real man was. Working two jobs and still going to school. Don't make any excuses just go for yours and fuck what a hater thinks. Picture my pain close friends shot in a drive by probably gang related but a little girl got shot and killed in the cross fire. Now it's families crying and a mom is blaming the community for killing her daughter. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth so i had to work and earn everything i have. A young black male on his own trying to uplift his mom and be a man at the age of 16. Society can picture my pain.
