2pac transcended rap. He was an icon. So passionate, genuine. In this song he says he wanted to be more than just a rap musician. And he accomplished that. What a legacy.
Xavier Walker that’s exactly why. He had plans to go political . And the one thing they DONT want is unity in people . Because once people realize that there’s power in numbers . And you must actually force change . They’ll lose . Maybe one day
Great Rapper Great Actor Great Poet Great Lyricist Great Speaker Great Leader Great Activist Great Charisma Great Character Great Teacher Great Role Model Great Inspiration Great Visionary Great Voice Great Loss R-ap I-s P-ac
This is why I rate 2Pac over any other rapper, he had songs that could make you cry, songs that would make you angry, songs to match every emotion! & at only 25 he did all of THIS, I mean just imagine if he had lived on another 25 years. He was more than just a rappper. R.I.P
I'm probably not a typical Tupac fan, a Caucasian nurse, but When raising my 4 kids we listened to his music often. He was creative, funny, cocky and a deep thinker. Read his poetry, too. I appreciate the diversity he brought to our lives. I lost my son Ben in December, and hope they got to meet in heaven. Much love to all. XOXOXO
Not sure where we'd be without Afeni! C'mon show appreciation for her too! She was a black panther, she fought for her rights. Where's her love and appreciation?
Here’s my story of how Tupac impacted my life. Born 88 , white guy, my father was a big rap fan, we grew up in the struggle I used to steal my dads Tupac cassettes and listen to them, he even had all of his albums and movies. So ultimately I was born into Tupac’s music. The music and poetry he made was phenomenal, pac died when I was 8 but I was an intelligent child and pac influenced me to be a good person, to not judge people, to treat women with respect. Over time as I grew up I collected my own Tupac music etc. even down to his books. I even wrote a project in middle about Tupac and the number 7. But besides that, till this day 30yrs old now his music still keeps me strong through tough times.. there’s not another rap artist that has that influence in this world.. Tupac is legend. I just wish he used his own words to further his lifespan, but no one is flawless and I think that’s one of the points he makes.. we all gotta keep our heads up and thrive to do better... respect to all loyal pac fans!
The fact that tupac is still famous and still spreading love makes me so proud and happy. I CANT describe how much I love Pac fans.. we bring eachother together.. We briNG HUMANITY together, we support one another.. rest easy tupac and afeni❤️
Words cant define how much this song can touch the soul... This man had a spirit of GOD... Pac was beyond his time and he will never fade out ... This man was gave us something beyond wat this world can give us ...
"Maybe it's me that caused it, the fighting and the hurting in my room crying coz I didn't want to be a burden.." that line always takes me back to my childhood +20 years ago - Pac disciple since '95
Tupac transcends genres and generations. I listen soley rock music, mainly punk and emo, but Tupac music is amazing. His music is so powerful, insightful, and filled with emotional. Truly I of a kind and in my opinion the best rapper ever.
Not a big fan of 2Pac, but this is why he will always be the greatest rapper of all-time, not cause he passed away, its cause his music makes you think about life, it's like a message in rap style (like this song), if anyone haven't notice yet, even tho a lot of his songs has explicits. He was like the Martin Luther King Jr. of Hip-Hop. His music has much bigger impact on everyone individually than most rappers
"Driven by my ambitions, desire higher positions So I proceed to make Gs, eternally in my mission Is to be more than just a rap musician The elevation of today's generation If could make 'em listen" Only if people would really listen to him.
People are only starting to listen now but when he was here only his people were listening even though everyone should have been he wanted a better world for the future generation he wanted to end the cycle of struggle thats been around for years
Pac is not just the best rapper, the greatest and most influential, but he is one of the most important African American to have existed. Top top talent and human being. This man and his message will for the foreseeable future always be relevant to the black community. He is right up there will Malcom X.
That part is my life. Crying in my room as a little boy. But now I'm a man and no one cares if I cry, much like no one cared when I was a boy. So I must move on.
Baha stop being a twat mate ahahah why you commenting hate on all the comments, ney one cares what u have to say. Yes he rapped about violence, but if u actually listened to the lyrics you would understand why
That's cool. My top TWENTY Pac's songs are: 1. Hold Ya Head 2. Unconditional Love 3. Keep Ya Head Up 4. Until The End Of Time 5. Lord Knows 6. Blasphemy 7. I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto 8.Changes 9. Grab The Mic 10. Fuck All Y'all 11. Nothin' To Lose 12. Pour Out A Little Liquor 13. White Man's World 15. Street Fame 16. Violent 17. 16 On Death Row 18. Do For Love 19. When Thugz Cry 20. Me And My Girlfriend
The elevation of today's generation if I can make em' listen. He was, I just wish he was still here to make the change he was beginning to make back then. He was more than a rapper, just so down to earth and I can just relate to this guy. Damn man, so much talent and genius lost in the bullshit.
I relate to almost all 2pac songs, even being white, I grew up in the ghetto with one parent. Dedicated this song to my dad at one point when I was whiling out. Never thought it'd be 35 when I was 17.
I'm 18 born 10/20/97 and every since I could remember I've been obsessed with this man. I can't even put it into words the kids of chill I get down my spinal cord every time I hear his voice. I wish I could have a 1 on 1 conversation with him and ask him thousands of questions and how to carry on with the pain I hold. I'd ask him how do I release anger without doing angry shit? And how must I go on In this corrupt ass world I've been born into.. This man is my only idol. Feels like when I listen to em he's speaking directly to my soul. I'm conscious.
I wish I could ask him so many questions ever since my dad played changes in the car one day I was hooked to him from there greatest Poet mc and rapper and artist
This brother's music transcends generations. It's 2018 and people who wasn't around when his music came out can relate to it today. Words still apply today!!! Rest well Tupac, because you're still teaching!!
the power of this mans words in his lyrics lay in the fact that he meant every word, he truly cared for the oppressed people in the ghettos of the world. thus his legacy will forever be remembered as one of the greatest most intelligent soulful rappers.
Damn .. "The Elevation of todays generation if i can make em listen " crazy .. He was talking to us here i am now 30 and times have changed so much .. i miss this dude
2pac was the first rapper I've ever heard, I remember putting his tape cassette in my Walkman and I was listening to "how do you want it"and "California love" ever since then I fell in love with his music. I know almost all his hit songs word for word, RIP pac miss you and love you. I know you were scared to be forgotten but trust me pac I know your looking down from heaven and as you can see we haven't forgotten about you and never will.
This isn't just music Pac was giving us the road map to navigate your way thru the darkest times that life brings... Peace and blessings be upon you... Rest in Power Mfalme...

I treat the commentary section like my journal . Be Blessed Be Safe is you stumble across the comment. 🙏🏽#BLM
Definitely one of the greatest song-writers of all time. This song proves that Tupac is in the same league as Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder.. when it comes down to song-writing. And Eminem wasn't wrong about it either when he shared his opinion.
William baz but everyone can relate to it. And rap isn't the only genre that is 'black' music a lot of other genres have 'black' roots. Hip-Hop just ain't for the white man to perform, but the white man loves to tell modern rappers to mention pharmaceutical drugs in all their new songs...
same here ...i was in foster care when this was out and i remember crying feeling like this at a young age .32 yrs old now still bumpin this🎶💓✨ ...love you PAC!!!!!
No matter who you are and what you're going through. Do not be discourage. Do not cry. Do not be despair. Everything will be alright. This world is only teaching you to be strong. Do not let bitterness and anger consume your righteousness. Do not let the pain give up your sanity. Let the light reign over you. Defeat the dark thoughts. You are not alone in the journey of life. Be good no matter how dark this world is influencing you. You belong to the light. The holy spirit is within you.
Greatest 2Pac song of all time. People will say he wrote this for Hammer but I disagree. You can tell the lyrics are so true to everything he was trying to accomplish and going through. Only thing I hate about this song is the crap mixing and mastering because they couldn't find the master reel after Pac died. Smh
Calvin Lorenzo Bless u so much💗 I'm having a real shitty day, a friend passed only a few days ago & my tears just turned into a smile. Stay blessed with the kindness in ur heart!!✌✌✌💯

Pac made me accept the fact that im a highly sensitive person because i saw how sensitive he was living in the worst hood still understanding empathy is very hard Pac was one in a million
I will always have Unconditional Love for Pac.......always. I remember the day he "passed" my friend called me crying so hard that it scared me....I thought her mother had passed or something, she said he's gone......Tracy, he's gone....I said who? She said Pac, I told her I loved her and how bad that sucked.....we just hung up, I wasn't right for days, weeks, months and I remember thinking now what??? There has never been another....now what? Just "what's this sh*t"? Never, never, never can this man be replaced....ever, and all of the music that I listen to today.....there isn't one of them that do not reference 2Pac in at least one of their songs, the world knows there'll never be another who can touch the lives of soooo many, EVER... I wish he were still here in the U.S. with us and not where he is. Much love to the only man that I have listened to for 20+ years. I love and Miss you with Unconditional Love.....
He got shot on my birthday. I pray so hard 4 God give life but it wasn't n God plan 4 him I cried an cried an right now I listen some songs an tears b n my eyes like this one.🎤🎤🎶🎶🎶❤
@@leewilliams4570 pac ain't dead he was crippled by those gun shots that's way he will never return.....he lives a peaceful life now....the brother had to many haters and fake friends
Almost 25 years after your death, you're still loved and sorely missed. You're words were so powerful and anyone who listens can hear you pouring out your soul. There will never be another like you.
all 3 verses are masterpieces!! this song is definitely in his top 10....and its hard to even come up with a top 10 but damn.....the beat, the hook. the production and all 3 verses are just so very special.....lyrics are crazy!!
The evil can be anybody not only those that look Chinese they do surgery to look a different ethnicity race religion the dragon the devil could be anybody Their evil but disearn test the spirits God is good!
This song remind me of so many that have passed away, moved away. The love will always be there, unconditionally. This song is timeless. I'm so thankful we had the opportunity to be given the gift of Tupac.
This song is so real and emotional I find tears coming and have to hold them back whenever I hear this. This is easily his best song or most emotional and real for me. I used to think it was life goes on but his hits all the sad parts without any swearing or aggression like life goes on
Songs like this can never get old. The truth of the matter is that his songs and lyrics can be so relatable ad understandable that the messages that he wants to share with the world will never fade away. He was truly a once in a lifetime talent
"Eternally in my mission / is to be more than just a rap musician / the elevation of todays generation if I could make em listen" Lyrics like this are what make Pac the greatest of all time in my eyes. He was so much more than the "gangster" rap artist the uneducated media made him out to be. He was an honest person that stood for the same principles as the civil rights leaders before him. His influence goes far beyond music, and really touches on human nature in society still to this day. Although 1996 was many years ago, his legacy will live on forever through his amazing messages in his music. So young and so enlightened. He truly was one of a kind. We miss you Pac.
This song speaks so much !! I teared up listening to this !! Makes me think about life in a more blissful type of view ...RIP MAKAVELI THA DON!!!👌👌🔥🔥🙏👼

I’ll probably never understand ya ways With everyday I swear I hear ya Trying to change your ways while gettin' paid at the same time Just had a baby with the same eyes Something inside, please let me die these are strange times How come I never made it Maybe it's the way the played it in my heart I knew one day I gotta be a star My hopes and all my wishes So many vivid pictures, and all the currency I'll never even get to see This fast life soon shatters Cause after all the lights and screams Nothing but my dreams matter Hoping for better days Maybe a peaceful night, baby don't cry Cause everything gonna be alright Just lay your head on my shoulder Don't worry bout a thing baby Girl I'm a soldier (huh) Never treated me bad, no matter who I was You still came with that, unconditional love ......
For years i questioned my morals and principles. Raised in a home by my mum, gran and sister i believed it was down to being raised by strong women. Then now looking back I realise Pacs morals and principles through his music played a huge role in forming me as a man. Raised by women and Hip Hop. My first love.
