“Tupac was Tupac [...] he was a chameleon.” Perfectly said. I hate when ppl like michael jai white try to make it seem like Tupac was fake because he code switched; everyone does it. You wouldn’t act how you would on a job interview as you would with your friends. You wouldn’t act how you would act with your friends, in front of your parents. Keep Ya Head Up ain’t Hit Em Up. I Get Around ain’t Brenda’s Got A Baby. Dear Mama ain’t Against All Odds. Simple.
It succs that we will never know the truth because everyone has their own story to tell which most of the time contradicts the next person tellin the exact same story
It's really that simple but people make it more complicated than it really is. Pac felt indebted to Suge and rightfully so. Someone bails you out and you agree to a contract you don't want to let them down. Pac was going to get that out the way then have his own shit.
People expected so much out of Pac. He's just one man and that seems to get lost throughout these conversations. It's always about what people wanted him to do, like no matter what he did someone would have something to say about it. He's by far no perfect individual but who is? Given everything that man been through he tried his best and let the cards play out as they did. Most don't even require the same set of principles for themselves they try to throw on others so live how you live, if you blessed to see older age and mature along the way then you got more than most did so cherish that.
People say they expected a lot out of Pac because he was suppose to be "our saver". Like this man said he looked at Pac as a superhero. Pac promised so much. People look at him like a Malcolm X figure. Even I felt that way and I was 11 when he died. It was a huge letdown for Black America. He is the only rapper we poured out liquor for at every cookout when I use to hang in the streets and I'm in GA. That's the side of Pac that people expected a lot of. The "Youngest national chairman of the New Afrikan Panther Pac". I for one believed he would have changed a lot of things had he go on to mature. Prodigy said he read Pac book on how to clean up the streets and unite the gangs and it literally blew his mind.
@@shawdogg408bro wat u sound dumb there’s a picture of pac holding Johnny J daughter so how the hell him and pac wasn’t close? Y’all mfs get on da net and say anything go do yo research
Yeah but not what he was fully owed...hence why he had a audit on dr records shortly before he died. Which is partly why some people think both Kenner(lawyer that was skimming money&dirty) & Suge were part of setup.
I think Tupac beat up Mopreme Shakur because of something Suge Knight said to Tupac about Mopreme Shakur. Kendrick Wells didn't want to speak on it because he's friends with Mopreme Shakur.
Da incident was Suge told Pac he had a bunch of clowns around him cuz dey was in NY and Mopreme and dem was throwing snow balls at each other and Suge made a big deal about it telling Pac dat he needed his niggaz to tighten up and Pac ended up jumping on Mopreme
Pac wanted to fulfill his album deal with suge then eventually pac wanted to be his own boss and run his own company and put together his own powerful team. Makaveli lives on
2pac had a 3 album deal. With a 4th album option that Death Row had was going to pick up. 1 All eyez on me 2 Makaveli 3 Until the end of time 4 Better Dayz.
I believe it was like this 1/2 All Eyez On Me(it’s a double Album) 3 Makaveli Don’t forget all the other albums he had planned in between those 2 Major Albums that I’ve read were part of the contract (Ex: Black Gold Album, Supreme Euthanasia) I’ve heard Makaveli Was Coming out Originally March 1997 and One Nation was gonna be in the summer, and ofc at this time Pac would be With Makaveli Records Edit: I just put the name of a album so y’all could see what I meant and I found more info about it) Here’s a Reddit link for more info: amp.reddit.com/r/Tupac/comments/bqto02/tupacs_future_planned_solo_albums/
Facts! They both got game from each other and no one can deny this. Pac was just as wild as Suge, putting them together only heightened that. Egos get in the way when you have power you never had before. Given time Pac would've cooled down.
@@melvinhhcp3615 no it wasnt lol. Those tracks you listened too were the demos/bootlegs/unreleased versions. THE ALBUM WASNT FINISHED CUS SOME TRACKS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DONE AFTER SEPTEMBER 7th
Its sad their friendship went south towards the end of Pac’s life. He gotta remember though, Pac was only 25 when he died and he didn’t have a father. Not only that but Suge was the ONLY person that bailed him out. All these celebrities that claimed to be Pac’s friends, let him sit. Between Madonna, Jada, Snoop and the hundreds of others that claim(ed) to love him so much, they could’ve easily came together & posted the bail. Nobody did. So, I can understand why Suge took precedence over some of his day 1’s who either didn’t have the money or had the money & didn’t help. Sad story. I always wonder if Pac being in prison was God’s way of trying to save his life.
Keep in mind though, Pac was a Recluse at that time! He was always catching cases and going to jail, so the risk was extreamly high for anyone to Post Bail because they risked loosing their Bail money if Pac was Arrested again for another crime. That Bail would be forfeited. But I agree. Some of his Celebrity Friends sould have steped up with the Bail and they didn't. That really showed him who his friends were and that's why he stayed Loyal to Suge and Deathrow
Every 2pac fan knows this. They agreed to do a three album deal, All Eyez on Me ( double disc) and Makaveli album. 2pac completed All Eyez On Me album in two weeks and Makaveli album in 7 Days. If you go throughout this channel, they're plenty people from the Outlaws, Shock G, Jada Pickett Smith, Sit Mix Alot, Jasmine Guy, etc who was around 2pac of those 8 months on Death Row. Saying he wasn't happy at all. How can you enjoy success with all what All Eyez On Me did selling 2million copies and not be happy with all the fame. Cause 2pac wasn't getting paid. Suge gave 2pac only materialistic things and a few couple dollars I'll say maybe a grand here and there. To keep him happy, 2pac wanted to leave Death Row but Suge kept fooling up his head alot. It's like a blessing and curse. Cause we would have never gotten those two classics from 2pac and his other music. And a curse cause we all know what happen in those final stages from All Eyez On Me release in February through September.
@@hajakabba6325 Sir Mix Alot has been on this channel and so has the others I've spoken on. But they did not make any physical appearances, just stories been told through audio lol. But he was in an audio speaking on 2pac when he saw him at the mall before he passed away. But this channel has switch it up alot having people being physical appeared on the channel now. Before it always just had audio clips of people telling stories on 2pac and pictures on the screen.
@@jarvasedundy1 I have watched Evey single video on this channel maybe another channel but I know for a fact the last time jasmine talked about PAC was over maybe 15 years ago, and Jada has never been on here, she too busy and sir mix alot has never been here either, not on the phone nor physically.
pac was like fire and suge was the fuel, he amplified pacs anger especially during that time, i know suge loved pac, but to me being a friend and watching out for your friend and especially your artist.
These Kendrick interviews are really good. There is a Sincerity that comes off of his energy. Lets be clear, I'm sure Pac didn't share all of his plans or feelings with everyone. Kendricks interviews on this platform feels very Honest. Thanks for posting 🙏
I think it was on Cam Capone, he said that pretty much they were all horse playing one night slap boxing or whatever, and I guess one of the Bloods punched him in his stomach too hard. He told Pac and and Pac pretty much was like “why you letting niggas hit you?” and that made Kendrick feel some type of way
A lot of people always said that Pac wasn’t happy. He didn’t say it but you could tell. In a recent interview I seen someone say he worked all the time like he owed someone something. They said he didn’t like most of the things he was doing but he did it because he was getting paid to do it. & Trust me the brightest one in the room is usually the one who has been through the most pain.
I love you, I saw the same thing. Listen to picture me rolling, at the end, he mentions his brother Mopreme, and there's this silence. Also, the crazy song, when he says, " A million things run thru my mind, you aint got to be in jail to be doing time..."
He said Pac never saw any real money but didn't he die too soon because i heard it takes a while before you see money from an album. And Makaveli came out after he died so it makes sense how didn't get his big money yet.
The way how I look at Makaveli Records was like Makaveli/Death Row/Interscope Records pretty much how Eminem signed to Shady/Aftermath/Interscope Records
Suge knight was money hungry and Tupac was finna leave death row records as you see multiple times nobody leaves death row records easily and suge had hella connections
first of all 2pac wasnt going to leave death row that is a wild ass conspiracy theory made by some media ppl to push the "suge killed 2pac" narrative..pac was about to make his OWN record label distributed thru death row
@@freesugetv781 Pac was being extorted and he was scared because he knew first hand how suge and death row got down. He went along to get along but he knew he was being robbed, he chose not to press suge. I believe the tupac shooting was a setup because why would orlando not shoot suge also.
That sounds about right.. Suge was getting all Pac close friends away from him for he could control Pac... That's the reason Mopreme and Big Syke wasn't around Pac when he joined Death Row.
I understand that Suge has his negative moments, but I bet you if most of the people because of 2Pac that are bashing Suge now, was around during the 90s they would've distanced themselves when Pac was found guilty for his sexual assault case while Suge was the only one to have the guts to bail him out!
Real!!! All these muthafuckaz would've ducked off on Pac, so despite Suge's flaws I appreciate him giving Pac a shot. He been wanted to sign Pac and kept his promise he would keep the deal on the table when Pac told him he wasn't ready the 1st time.
@@ItsAnEndlessWorld facts, I think suge not that bad but him and PAC together was not good at all, it's like that one friend who you get in trouble with and your momma keep telling you stop hanging around them
He just said Suge got Pac out as a commodity. He wanted to make money off of him. He ended up cutting for him but that wasn't his original plan. Snoop the one said go get Pac.
Pac ain't stupid...he knew what was going on. That's why he was making solo moves. Outside of his movie deals, he was trying to get another deal with Quest Records (Quincy Jones). Edit: He also audited Deathrow and fired Kenner in August 96.
@@almightytre3730 It was a possibility. But I do think he was trying to pacify them while be made independent moves. Deathrow wasn't a long term thing. It was his Get of Prison card.
@@almightytre3730 I don't look at like that. Pac fulfilled his 3 album obligation on a "shitty contract". Pac did his 3 albums and he was making movies to be a "boss". Suge was used to controlling his artists...he damn near bullied the co-owner (Dre) of the label off without paying him. Pac seen all that and Pac had bigger plans. That's all.
Man if Pac hadn't been killed Death Row would've been on top of its game Pac was gonna start Makaveli records which was gonna be distributed through Death Row and they were gonna do Death Row East and Suge recruited Eric B to be head of the label I heard Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Run DMC and Craig Mack were gonna be signed to the label Death Row would've been like the Motown of hip hop
@@liveanddieinchicagoliveand7074 he did claim mob in certain songs and the bloods from the mob that know pac confirmed that he got put on and ain't nothing wrong with he was tryna take the gang shit to higher level and elevate it to politics
i believe pac was going to leave, but whether or not suge would have let him and that's where the relationship may have went sour, but we never got to see how it would go.
Pac said in his last interviews during the making of some movies that he was going to eventually quit rapping and just focus on his acting career. He said would only appear on the outlawz albums here and there.
@@Synchronite yes I have heard of them but I was speaking on hip hop but that's my bad. No I'm not saying other rappers don't get talked about but not like pac.
Suge didn't get pac out of jail....interscope did and that's who he owed money to and that's why pac worked so hard to gain back his money 100percent... Death row was just a face for pac music.
“By keeping plans and strategy closely held and using tactics to deceive the enemy about one's true intentions, one can continue to shape them by employing direct and indirect approaches.” -The Art of War
Looking from the outside and having heard so many interviews all of these years, it seems to me that Kendrick is right. 2Pac was a chameleon and Suge wanted him to push away anyone he thought could influence Pac other than himself. Suge wanted the charisma, the genius and talent of 2Pac to himself. Pac already had a military mentality which probably was an early Panther influence and started blending it in with Death Row's gangsta environment. He saw it fit to "discipline" whether it was Sam Sneed or Mopreme or anyone and Suge may or may not have understood Pac's psyche but he could see that his ways were rubbing off on him and he liked that. The people who knew 2Pac from jump realized that he was changing because of his loyalty to Suge. Fatal had said he left the westcoast back then because he feared 2Pac would have him beat up after wrecking his car. Pac is a Gemini and he needed positive people around like Shock G to bring out the lighter side of him but at Death Row he had the opposite so the darker side came out and it alienated people that genuinely cared about him.
Yes idk if some people believe in astrology but PAC was a Gemini with an aries moon or maybe Pisces (based on him saying he is very sensitive). As me being an Aries, these combinations need to be around positive people because they have the ability to adapt to their environment if it's a negative one, they can become negative people, that's why they need to be around level headed people.
@@fallindowndrunk yes they reflect there environment, I wasn't big in astrology until I just started getting into it and it helped me understand tupacs personality a bit, and he was truly a Gemini with an Aries moon, these people need to be surrounded by positive people and people who mean well for them, cause being a gemini it's already a constant pull between the good side of you or the bad side and then you have the aries moon shit can get hella contradicting and confusing. And the thing is Suge was an Aries too. Me myself being an aries I can tell you Gemini and Aries are one hell of a duo, together they can make millions and make each other rich(that is being that they both have good intentions at heart). Friendship wise they are absolutely Great friends, Relationship wise very fun and experimental and might just even led to marriage.
@@Darealny The Outlawz, Mopreme, I think Syke was there too and some MOB Bloods, They were playing cards like strip poker or something and whoever lost had to throw snowballs in the snow with they drawers on something to that effect. Mopreme and the outlawz had lost. Man they was just having fun Pac did that goofy issh all the time. If he beat up Mopreme he was probably saving him from a bigger Arse whooping as Kendrick said about DJ quick saving his boy
It wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Suge . He was already on interscope, and those guys pretty much written him off. They were looking for any kind return on their investment at that point.
Please at this point GOD bailed him out, I'm tired of the lies, imma need a family member to sit down and talk about this, cause all this is hearsay and gossip
@Tupac Saves outlaws wasn't there when deal wasn't getting cut or discussions where being made. They repeating what PAC told suge and PAC told them. I find it hard to believe suge just took 1.4 million dollars and decided to just bail PAC out, out of the goodness of his heart. I believe he went up to interscope and got pacs money and bailed him out with his own money, I wonder if PAC knew half the shit we know now would he still have been as loyal.
I think the many conflicting stories were by Pac’s design. The 3rd principle in “The Art of War’ is Deception and Foreknowledge-Winning the Information War. He probably was telling and showing people different things on purpose. Causing mass confusion and chaos amongst the crew is a masterful move to weaken an opponent-must powerful when trying to see who is real with and who’s not. Pac was a divine student of “The Art of War”.
Seems like this man was one of the smart ones that 2pac should have kept around and listened too but at that time 2pac surrounded himself with bad people like Suge who didn't have his best interest in mind. That was his biggest downfall
Yeah it was really anyone who wouldn't work for next to nothing. Mophreme demanded money, so was beaten up, Big Syke also wanted cash for his tracks on All Eyez on me. It's no coincidence the Outlawz were kept on because they could be fobbed off with designer clothes and rental property.
everyone knows he was leaving Death Row. he was loyal so he repped where he was, but behind the scenes things weren't cool. Pac & Suge bumped heads about his money. Pac didn't want Outlawz or Keyshia Cole to sign to DR. he knew if he started to denounce his affiliation publically there would be issues. so he played his part until it was time to go. he was at war with Bad Boy. it wouldve made them look weak if he exposed the issues on their side. he stopped wearin the Death Row chain before he passed. nobody peeps these things lmao
@@almightytre3730 nah. thats not what you got from my comments. your feelings are just hurt because what you THOUGHT was the case, wasnt. also, dont be a dummy just to try to prove a failing point. The art of war is to get rid of the ones who could potential help you when its time to kill you. A lot of contradictions from Mr wells. Tupac changed my life so I'm observing these interviews like a detective trying to solve a murder from people's words and gestures. Why do interview now? Where you bought out too for a decade? Still a lot of information missing. Rest in power for all the humans that lives were cut short on this spiritual wasteland.
Just breaks my heart all over and honestly....even if the truth never surfaces; every one will get what they deserved even the ones who think they got away Ase'
Pac played different roles in the industry & the streets with a strategic plan. Most times coming down to peoples levels to help elevate them with hands on progress.
Pac was repping MOB. We all know that. You dont get MOB tatted on you, mention it a ton of times, say its bigger then rap if you arent. Pac confirmed Makaveli records was to be under DR. Thats where he would be signing Outlaws. Pac was only on DR for like 7 months. He owed 3 albums. He wasnt alive long enough to be paid everything. He has cars, Suge bought his mom a house, he was being taken care of.
That's exactly why Money B, Shock G, Mopreme Shakur, Big Syke, Richie Rich, and everyone else wasn't around Tupac when he joined Death Row.. Suge made sure Pac didn't hang around people that had his best interest. Tupac might still be alive if he had people like Richie Rich and Big Syke around him when he joined Death Row Records.
@@OlliWitta3 Pac was broke, in prison and desperate so he sold out to Death Row Records and was willing to do Suge's bidding. I understand it even if I didn't necessarily agree with it. To say Suge manipulated him is not accurate; it was likely the other way around.
Not only that many of them knew what death row was and wanted to no parts of it. I hate to say it but DR. See was smart eshit that man was a visionary.
When somebody bail you out of prison , that's a debt that's hard to payback and then go out on your own . Why wasn't Tupac able to bail out of prison on his own , what happen to his money , before Death Roll Records . A lot of talented music artist , suffer from bad business decisions .
2pac wasn't leaving Death Row. He had a 3 album deal and Death Row had a 4th album option.1 All eyes on me 2 Makaveli 3 Until the end of time 4 Better dayz.
Pac did the same exact thing alot of people do these days do. Associate themselves with the streets/gangs/negativity etc and destroy the the greatness in them they didn’t need a gangs, the streets etc for.
K. Wells is speaking facts! Pac got his game from the bay/Oakland. M.O.B. out here stands for money over bitches. He said it loud and clear on Makaveli album! Like he said he Adapted! But you got ppl saying other wise like Vlad..
2pac's own mother is on video saying that right before he died he was asking for an accounting of his earnings and they would never give him that information.
Frank Alexander - Tupac personal security said" he mentioned getting out to do his own thing - before he died he was supposed to have been ready to tell Suga knight he wanted out!! Please interview Frank if he is still alive.
