The band is called the Hooligans” today is December 15 2021. He has teamed up with a man named Anderson Paak. They are called Silk Sonic. They just dropped their first album An Evening with Silk Sonic. Look it up. You will love it! From one Grandma to another! Very retro💕

Retro Grannies I can't agree with you more on everything you said from how handsome Bruno is to his talent and his talented team to how everyone all ages cultures and the genres covered by both groups made this one of the all time best half time shows. You should check out more of Bruno and where he's taking it today. Straight back to the 70's which is where I remember some of my best memories. From a Retro Granny downunder to two kindred spirits, thank you. Not that it bothers me to be joining in with some of the fan girls 1/3 of my age but I'm loving where music is going in the hands of this very talented young man and what he's giving to everybody. Grannies, you should look up videos of little Bruno Mars. That kid came out of the womb with a microphone and a sequined jacket! Seriously - he would do Elvis impressions. He was like six. He's pretty much been performing since he could speak and walk. Also, it was nice of Flea (of The Red Hot Chili Peppers) to wear pants for this performance. Hahaha! 😂

If you know his history, its so amazing to see the trajectory of his life/career. He was homeless with his dad at one time so he has had it hard at times. Such an amazingly talented fella. That makes this performance so great for me..to see little Elvis come so far!

I saw Bruno when he was a little boy and did the Elvis impersonation. He was amazing then. His talent has grown with him. I lived in Hawaii so it wasn't unusual to run into him, and he was just the cutest little sweetheart

Well....still not a fan of Bruno Mars, but then the surprise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers playing their old stuff, was the best! Getting along is hard. It takes work. You guys reminding us all to make the effort has been amazing this last year. Being generous emotionally, is probably the hardest thing to do. But mood is contagious and we can actually make things better for everyone by just being kind, or sometimes just don't make it worse - by being quiet. Easy to say, hard to do. It is a whirlwind of bad news in my world these last few weeks. Friends dying from COVID. Family and friends in need of medical treatments, having that complicated/delayed by the overflowing ICUs. But the worst of it is the division and hardened hearts on both sides of the issues regarding the masks and vaccines. We will never overcome this if we don't figure out how to have compassion for people we may disagree with. Your message of love and kindness has never been more important ( in my lifetime anyway) Thank you from the bottom of my heart for encouraging me to get my prorities right before this storm of ugliness hit! Much love and big hugs from Texas!

@@nanaking9560 5 mins after I wrote this my dear sweet husband came home and shared an interesting tale. He was at a junkyard, trying to find a part for his beloved Bronco and in all of the tools he broight, he somehow forgot the one socket he needed. There were some "regulars" there that heard him (cussing probably) and came over to help. It was a not a huge thing they did, but it was huge to my husband. They got to talking about the heat and passing out among a sea of dimantled cars bc some older lady had passed out a few days before. My husband shared a story about 5 years ago, we were in a junkyard, in Central Texas Summer Heat, looking for parts for my car. We saw an older man get dizzy and swayed and sunk to the ground. I grabbed an ice cold gatorade out of the cooler and went and gave it to him. Then I sat and chatted with him to make sure he felt well enough to get his stuff and get out of there safely. The guy my husband was talking to said "You aren't going to believe this, but I think that was my grandfather." They compared notes on physical descriptions and such and turns that it was in fact me. I personally do not even remember any of this. I remember that day, bc we scored almost all the parts we needed for my beloved Jeep, but sharing a Gatorade and a few minures of my time wasn't memorable. I don't know if it was the fact we had a cooler with ice cold drinks, or because women in junkyards are unusual, or because we are of different races, or maybe it was just my red hair. But this older man shared this story with friends and family and his grandson now always made and effort to.help struggling people in the junkyards he frequents. My husband specifically said that "The Grannies are Right and I've been trying extra hard to be nice this week" You are right. Being kind is really hard because empathizing with ignorant angry mean people is almost impossible. But if a cold drink and a few minutes of my time resulted in an event so memorable that two strangers are talking about it 5 years later, imagine what doing the emotionally hard stuff, like loving your enemy and turning the other cheek( aka Be Kind or be Quiet ) might result in. Thanks again for being a great example. I'm proud to be part of the Granny Squad.
@@lile8602 thank you for sharing that amazing story. That little act of random kindness literally changed that persons life. You never know what a person is going through. This man was in obvious physical distress, but so many are suffering silently from grief or depression or PTSD and one small gesture by someone else will make an everlasting impact upon them. They in return may extent that same kindness one day to another soul in need of a helping hand and so forth. You didn’t even remember your act of kindness, but the person on the receiving end is still talking about it today. It’s really not hard. We can actually turn our society around without involving politics, religion or anything of an organized fashion. It’s simply by being kind. A little smile, a helping hand, a bottle of “gator aide” will do it every time. It all starts with the man (or woman) in the mirror. You have a beautiful soul and we are the ones who are extremely proud to have you as part of our Granny Squad. You rock babies. 🖤🖤🖤

Basically, it’s 7 years old, so it’s not brand new. Then, have you noticed Bruno and his group’s clothing and hair…..all retro to the sixties. Then there’s the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They’ve been around since 1983. I think this show quality’s as retro. Keep on rocking. ✌🏻💖🤟🏻🎶
I could type all night, just on the things that you've said in the reaction. That's not even taking the music into consideration. Getting along, all of us. No war, no weapons, no hatred, even in Iran and China. If only Lennon knew the power of his words, i they were given through God's spirit, and no just a hippy emotion. I could have non stop Chilli Peppers playing all day long. But Bruno Mars, until now, that's just been a name to me. I can see the retro in what we've seen of has act here. And although my mind was made up, I won't like like this guy, all dressed up like the Shadows from 1968, and a hair do to match. I ended up enjoying the act a lot. I it goes without saying, (not wanting to "give it away now", the the Peppers) will go down well with old Papa Bear, the fossil rocker. Not saying I'm old, but I once helped a guy called Noah with the blue prints of a game changing boat. LOL Chill out Grannies. TTFN
