@@hightree9295 yuju's highnote is amazing , her strong point is her highnote. People who dont really understand about vocal will say that yuju is better than wendy because of her highnote. But singing isn't about just how powerful your voice or how high your highnote . Its about how great you are when you can do the low ,medium and high part. A great singer can control their voice from high part to low part perfectly. Im not an expert , im still learning too . I dont hate yuju, i often listen to her ost and gfriend's songs and i really love her voice too . But for technique wendy is better , her head voice , her low part, her control, her range her emotion are better than yuju . Wendy even can hit the whistle note. People that said yuju is better than wendy because yuju's voice is more "unique" and poweful than wendy when she sing. Gfriend's song can show yuju's powerful voice unlike the most of red velvet's songs. Wendy is a versatile singer, she dont always use her powerful voice for sing. She can adapt her voice depend on the genre of song. Unlike yuju, that often use her powerful voice for sing. That's why people that don't understand about singing is always think that people who have powerful voice and highnote are better than the other. Kpop vocal analysis also said that wendy is almost equal to taeyeon around 2014/2015. You can check it on their website. Maybe people may say that im biased or whatever is that. The control she has is just unbelievable, she starts softly then builds up to the high notes in the chorus, making use of her low and high registers. Wendy basically doing vocal acrobatics whenever she sings and it blows my mind every time!

She hit the C5 at 2:30 with support & more openness....and she doesn't sound chesty as usual...her mixing technique was somehow balance i guest (EDIT : after a lot of time hearing, the C5 is not resonant it just supported but she did improved her mixing technique)

People would say “wendy is the best kpop singer in 3rd gen”. And some people might disagree with that. But the reason why i think wendy really is the best is because her voice brings too much feels when she sings. And her singing technique is great too. But again, people have their own standards for perfect. I have mine. And you have yours. We might disagree with each other, but i stand by mine.

Everyone talking about how her technique has improved, it's always been there. She pretty much had to relearn how to sing considering she debuted with a nodule on one of her vocal cords. Her voice has always been amazing and powerful she just had to get over her self doubt, that is what was holding her back, she kept doubting herself. Once she was able to do that you get this. Wendy can do it all!! I always says she is one of the most agile and versatile vocalists and knows how to connect the audience with what she's singing. She has such a mature sound that it amazes me how she can switch up her vocals to fit some of Red Velvet's concept. I'm now wanting a Velvet comeback!!!
