I used to listen to Hurt when I had really, really bad times where I even hurt myself while crying. Now I listen to this as if was a memory. It's hard to explain. Still, your covers are always amazing. And this one is even more special to me. Thank you.

What i love about this version and unlike any other take on the song (like NIN and Cash) you can feel the hope in this one. It's like life, you can be hurt, you can fall, but if you find the strength in yourself to rise up, it will be for the better

I really do like the different take on this Song, Well Done. But for the millionth time, and no disrespect to Johnny Cash, cuz he is and will always be a Legend, this Song is an Original from Nine Inch Nails. THEN 8 years later, Johnny Cash covered it...

The Johnny cash cover is one of the best, but this is on par with how hauntingly silent it is.

I have always loved Johnny's version of this, don't get me wrong, but hearing a woman singing it, allows me to think about this character vocalizing the pain, the suffering, the emptiness, the sorrow she is feeling... Thank you for this. I'm a huge fan of all your work. Whatever you decide to do is pure magic. If you ever decide to do Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons, I would do everything in my power to include it into the soundtrack of the Sunfire Chronicles television series since that's Lexia's theme and I'm seeking a beautiful, heartfelt, powerful version of that song to close out the fifth season. Just throwing that out there. ;)

Although Hurt is a Nine Inch Nails original cover and this 2WEI - Sequels - Hurt cover isn't that bad no one can match the Johnny Cash - Hurt version Johnny made it uniquely his own it suited Johnny far better than any other performance of Hurt has or most probably ever will.
