What a score. I got these for $40 total. They both work fine but were a little dirty. One of the fans (the one that has an exposed capacitor right now) had a drifted capacitor. Made by the cheap Chinese “S” company. Tested at 9.4 microfarads (should be 15) The other one seems to be a different brand but I haven’t opened it up to find out. I oiled these to keep them alive. It is very rare to find a SVF-18, let alone two of them!!

good video bro although one of the fans has the capacitor outside of the motor next to it the one on the right and it has the longer spin down time i enjoyed the video

Thanks! The exposed capacitor is because it wouldn't fit in the switch box. It was simply too physically big. Otherwise, it would have gone right where it belongs. I am glad that you enjoyed the video. More to come soon Edit- Also the exposed capacitor is testing at 13.8, right at the border of being considered "bad". It too was rated at 15. However, the fan still tolerates it, and it runs okay.

@@sccpsteve wow I didn’t know all that and it still runs okay are you going to get replacement once it goes out on you ?

@@LemontTheFanMan If the capacitor gives up, I'll likely buy a new one on the amazon website, or, put in the old capacitor that came with the fan, combined with a small capacitor.
