Remember when you could make 1 gold bar by completing two dailies lol. That nerf was honestly the dumbest thing they could have possibly done, the daily streak was the only thing keeping people logging in everyday despite content droughts. They essentially killed the game by doing that.
Its not 1 bit dumb, between resetting awards over & over, call to arms, public events etc its easy to get gold. Just play the game and you won't notice it.
Excellent! This is exactly why I want to get into a solo, just so I can set the tone of the game myself. Patience is the key here. Yes, on occasion I want to run and gun my way thru and there are some towns where I might have to. But Blackwater can be done slow and steady (kind of). Make them come to YOU!
Hiya mate. Yeah for quickness Blackwater is the easiest and fastest to complete. If you get 2-4 people all using this exact tactic as shown in the video then it is much quicker but very easy to do solo. Even with randoms just follow the guide and let them do as they please. I carried 3 extra players to victory last night who were all low level. They all died pretty much every wave by staying on the ground and I led by example up on the roof lol. Easy gold for them.
I find hiding in one of the town hall's corners the best way to survive the later rounds. Only the machete dudes follow I think, and all the enemies just hang by the town. You only have to watch one flank and don't have to worry about ladders.
Appreciate the guide. My run glitched on wave 6 & 7 and said it was complete well before I killed all the enemies. (much more than just 4 left) After doing this, though, I would not recommend to anyone else. Unless you suck at this mode and youre desperate to finish it solo. It took me two and a half hours to do this. Compared to valentine can be solo'd in about hour and a half.
Theres absolutely easy way to do this ... One that is completely fail proof. There is a bar in a center town. When things get hairy and "tin men" start pushing in you can go upstairs in that bar in a room with a single door ... Solo u can get rushed sometimes and 2 tapped with a shotgun but if 2 people doing it ... You do the following : As you enter the room door opens inwards. Once yoru are both in a room, 1 guy pushes the door to close it almost half way. Just enoug to shoot through and not enough for enemy to push past it. THATS IT. 1 controlls the door, the other shoots through gap. Enemy always hugs the left door corner preparing to storm in, but obviously they wont and be stuck there for easy headshots. Others push past to the right behind table and further to left behid ralings. All in all, 1 single doorway is more than enough to have the mall comming in one spot. Cheese, lots of cheese.
Terrific video with a ton of amazing tips! The only suggestion I would make is to use your special ammo first and leave your regular bullets for later rounds. The reason being, you get an extra 5 XP points for every kill with special ammo, and you rarely use all ammo in CTA. AND, if you get knocked out early, you have at least made the most of your kills. Plus, most of us reviewing these videos for solo CTA mission, are good enough to beat any NPC with regular ammo. Cheers!
*GREAT TIP* With regards to loading up a revolver and pistol. I had never thought about that when doing the "Call to Arms". I will most definitely be doing that from now on - Thanks 🙂 Once again - *GREAT TIP!!!*
Haha. Cheers buddy. Doubling up on explosive ammo via the revolver/pistol combo is something I have been doing since very early in the game. Especially since I used to get griefed....a lot lol.
This is money in the bank…Thanks so much!! Just finished my first time making it through wave 10. I play solo and this was PERFECT. Too bad the payout is going down next week, I’ll probably NEVER play this mode once it goes down to regular. Just takes too long, is too repetitive, and uses too much ammo/tonics.
Awesome dude. I am glad the guide helped. Yeah getting this done for 1 gold and what will probably be 300 dollars is not going to be worth it. Hence why I got this video out ASAP. Yeah it does smash ammo supplies but with the triple payout it is nothing to be replacing it all after every round. Thanks for the great comment dude and I am glad the video helped.
I'm sure ROCKSTAR will occasionally do triple and double payouts from time to time...they do it with Blood Money and Bounties and other missions. Great game in a long time.
I came up with the same method on my second attempt. First time I camped on a roof with too many access points and got swamped around wave 7. I've done this method with a few random players and nobody complained.
Spot on mate. This video was made in week 1 while the payouts were 3 gold and 900 dollars per 10 waves. This is still a fun and easy way to grind for gold though.
Play 10 waves on the ground is much more difficult 🙂 I did it today, a good way is to stay, in the higher waves, near the sea on the east side, when all partners dead you can kill one by one and go forward
Once you play it a couple times and get a feel for it, you can essentially stay on the ground all 10 waves with the right ability cards and using tonics and it’s pretty easy. The setup I’m using For cards makes it so I don’t even have to use good tonics I can get away with the ones you can purchase, plus normal ammo can still one-two tap everything on the map even at wave 10 so I don’t have to keep re-purchasing special ammo.
Yeah mate. I stay on the ground now as much as possible. This tactic works well for those who are not very confident or where all their team mates die then it is a perfect turtle strategy to ensure you make it through the wave and get them back at very least.
It is easy to get the ingredients for the special health tonic from madam nazar she sells all you need for them and they work out cheaper than the potents.
Nice guide man 🙂 . I am farming this right now on my wifes char (lvl 31) and for low levels I would just recommend taking shotgun instead of sniper rifle because there is carcano on that roof you will be camping on anyway. About cards I prefer eye for an eye and strange medicine for sustain. I would also avoid using explosive rounds because it totally is not necessary, pamphlet is expensive and farming animal fat is time consuming and if you are behind that box shooting shotgun the armored guy get stucked behind the box near ladder anyway so you can easily take him down. In last few rounds you have to let one guy live so you have time to pick up ammo (and kill him after you do)
It will, but sometimes they still survive, maybe you could do dynamite and some shotgun shots if they survive. Seems really hard to time the dynamite tho, if you want to go just with shotgun (which takes a decent amount of shots) you can try to shoot them while constantly rotating and hidding behind the boxes
Yes mate I would have to agree with Jorge on thbis. If you have no explosive ammo then dynamite should work ok. Just be extra vigilant of the heavies coming up the ladder and time your dynamite well. If you have buckshot for the shotgun too should stun them up close.
@@wondersgtagaming If I fail the mission do I get anything? Exp or $? Just curious. Got to wave 7 by myself. Got hit with a sniper as I was being cocky lol. 👊 bump
@@countdread6467 Yeah mate. If you retry then you will get nothing but if you decide to end after dying then you will get a reward proportional to what wave you were on.
My load out is: lemat, sawed off, carcano, Lancaster repeater with max explosive rounds (to melt armor bois) always loaded up with 40 potent miracle tonics and I'll craft at least ten special health tonics. Playing with friends I never die because I'm chugging tonics and sniping mostly. Solo is same idea but I've been avoiding solo after doing it once as it just takes WAYYY too long without a posse to help and there's no benefit to doing it solo.
Hiya mate. Yeah this video was intended for those who were having trouble completing any call to arms mode and especially during the triple payout (3 gold) which was brought in for the first week of these missions being released.
I've different strategy for each wave, 1, 2 riding horse, 3,4 riding run sometimes, 5,6 les riding, 7 first Snipe mini gun guy and run, 8 starting snipe wagon and sniper from west roof then run, possibly don't go to post office area, it's a dead zone. 9,10 same like 8 but always circle the town don't go to Middle area
I prefer run and gun style. It's quicker but has a downside of me consuming about $50 of tonics (I craft a bunch of tier 2 and tier 3 from madam nazaar before starting one and I use $40-50 worth). Good strategy here though. I'll give it a try later today. Cheers, liked.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior no actually you won’t need tonics that much, choose the right cards. This is how I do it, first five waves you won’t need any tonics, then the next three waves you will need to use level two tonic once or twice, then you get cover for the last two waves. It’s not a bad advice, but challenging one
Yes mate. I will be working on each location as I get the time. In terms of recording, editing and uploading/processing these videos will take roughly 24 hours each to make so it will take some time.
This is a really good guide! Blackwater is my go-to map while doing C2A, theres a room in the saloon witch you could use to gather yourself or just stay in there since the enemys wouldnt go in the room i believe so.
Yeah mate that room in the saloon is good for the first few rounds but you can end up getting stuck in there with a few bucket head dudes. This guide was made when the payout was 3 gold and 900 dollars a time. Ripe for abuse lol. We all just kept switching posses. I made around 300 gold that week lol.
There's a faster way for grinding gold using C2A for Solo player. That is you only do 3 waves and let enemy kill you on 4th wave. You'll get 1 gold in 10-15mins and u can do C2A again without any cooldown.
i don’t play online very often but I spent a lot of money on my main. I felt bad because there’s people who sit there and grind for ages whilst I’m there with all businesses that I purchased with my own money.. so I started a new character on a new account and am now grinding money n gold.
"Call-to-Arms" seems to be the only time I use the "split point rounds" in the game, and then it is only in the first couple of waves. I knew buying the pamphlet, and making all those rounds would come in handy one of these days. It just happened to be some two real-life years later 😁😅😟
I play with other 2 friends who are pretty decent and play smart we always go to fort mercer and have a tactic that works every single time winning us whole rounds in less than 30 mins
@@wondersgtagaming Lol I don't think there are any in mercer, I actually never played it with less than 3 people as there are a lot of enterances to be protected, but if all teammates hold their grounds and actually know positions of spawns it's pretty fast and easy money for everyone, I just won 3 consecutive matches in less than 2 hrs
The back spot has incredible cover and we were able to slap in round 10 I used the maxim gun to take out everyone from the back entrance and my teammates covered my back ( literally ) cuz they try to come at you from behind when u use the turret Try and look at that spot for solo
Those guys in higher waves are smart... If they try to climb up and you wound them they withdraw... And sometimes the guys on the opposite roof coordinate their shooting with the LADDERCHAP. today I played with an guy and we both wrestled the armored chap which surprised us at the roof. The companion was downed I revived him then I got down and he did me the same favor.. Nice move was he kicked the bucket head down the roof... Those where high intense moments.. We came to wave eight ok 0.8 gold
How about putting dynamite on the floor by the ladder? And would toxic moonshine kill armored foes if thrown to the other roof? Can I lasso/bolo armored NPC if I’m out of explosive rounds and they climb up?
The dynamite on the floor by the ladder is not a bad idea but just as easy to throw it. Toxic moonshine seems inaffective against almost everything and I barely use it. I do not think the lasso works on armoured foes but worth a try. Probably best to try and do that with a team mate though in case it doesnt work.
Nice easy way of getting this done. Especially for newer players 👍🏼 Honestly though, I run around the streets of Blackwater from the first wave to the last, having an absolute war. Paint it Black, Iron Lung, Strange Medicine and Eye for an Eye. Your dead eye will never run out using these cards, proving you are hitting consistent head shots. Take a Minty and Thyme Big Game, Potent Health Tonics, dynamite, your bow (dynamite arrows), a repeater and a couple of Mausers/Semi Auto Pistols and just go to war. I understand this is not going to work for less experienced players since you need to be hitting consistent headshots, but I’ll promise you this much, you will be ten times better at this game within a couple of days using the ‘war’ method than you will be if you sit on a roof. Your head shot consistency will go up by a large percentage grinding this mission on the ground. I guarantee it. It is so much more fun and intense aswell. Especially when the armoured maxi gun carriages start rolling in from wave 7-10. Save your dynamite arrows for these if you have them. Again, this is not for everyone. You may just want to chill and get your cash and gold but it’s absolutely brutal fun and extremely satisfying getting past wave 10 as a solo without ever touching a roof. If you’re new and looking for a way to improve at the game, Call To Arms is perfect for it. Play with your in-game settings for more precise/responsive controls. Look for some PvP settings on RU-vid for a good set up and keep trying until you succeed. You may not succeed straight away, but you’ll be hitting head shots like a god by the time you’re done with these missions if you stay the ground.
Hiya mate. Thanks for the in depth comment here. Yeah I made the guide for players who just want to grind with minimal risk of failure. Especially for those who need the gold while it is easily available. I have played run and gun on this a few times now with randoms and with friends. I go to the roof if everyone else goes down to guarantee safety but other than that I love getting stuck in.
Bringing not only pistols which have small ammo capacity compared to revolvers but also a bow is incredibly horrible advice. Good way to leave yourself ammo-less and have to quit in wave 9. I would only listen to this guys comment if you're playing with at least one other person.
@@TheAbandonedAccount7 Hiya mate. A3ePhony was talking about his "Go to War" setup for Blackwater. While on the ground it is very easy to keep replenishing pistol ammo. I agree that that strategy for the rooftop wouldnt work but he does say that this method is purely for run and gun.
@@TheAbandonedAccount7 it’s very difficult to run out of ammo if you’re replenishing it at the end of the round, every round. Also, Bow is excellent advice. Infact I’d say it’s absolutely essential for 10 waves on the ground. Solo or as a group. The Armoured Maxiguns can be taken out with dynamite arrows the instant they spawn. I do it regularly, constantly and consistently. When I finish wave 10 and head back into free roam, the only thing I need to go and buy is the dynamite I’ve used and some regular ammo to top me back up to full. Sure use revolvers instead of pistols if you want to. It’s whatever floats your boat. If you’re replenishing your ammo each round it doesn’t matter what you’re using, you will not run out. It only takes 1 bullet per kill with a head shot. You do not need to use any other ammo outside of dynamite and the regular ammo that is freely available. No offence, but if you’re running out of ammo, you’re going the wrong way about it. Or you need to work on your headshots. But whatever works for you man.
Hiya mate. If you start to run low without the expanded ammo pouchses then wait until the last enemy or 2 and then go down to ground and scoop a load up in-between waves.
Wow didn’t have explosive bullets on my revolver and ended up losing in wave 10 when the armored guy came up the ladder…very frustrating but I guess I’ll need the explosive rounds next time
Ohh. That sounds real harsh. Its easy to forget but those explosive pistol/revolver rounds are great for a last second defence against those armoured guys.
The main problem is the ladder... If you are not keep an eye on this you get macheted while shooting on the chaps on the other side... I got to wave 9 und here I had spent all ammo... And still 80 chaps... So it's wise to use the Lancaster on top of roof and deliver with normal ammo heads hots. I always get bagged by an chap sneaking up the ladder... Machete guys are dangerous here... Once near no chance to react
@@wondersgtagaming had an chap with me today. I told him the tactics he agreed.. Untill wave six he stayed in line. Then got bored and wanted to speed up things. down the roof in the next pack of foes... One minute later dead.... I was in action with the opposite roof thought he was near ladder... Wrong... Had six on the opposite roof and shoot them wit Lancaster each with heads hot and then ladder and shot from side..... Well 1,80 gold is still massive... I have 2520gold...so it's fun not the gold... Even if only 0,6 gold its still OK.... Never think back when each daily was worth 0.5 gold... Drink an bottle booze caching... 0.5 gold...
Yeah mate. This guide was made when the payout was triple too so 3 gold bars and almost 900 dollars every time you pass level 10. I wish that that was permanent but it was changed at the end of week one of this being introduced and so was the title and thumbnail of this video but is still probably one of the best ways for a new player to earn gold and cash fast.
Hiya mate. The gun recommendations are shown in the prerequisites chapter of the video. Stay on the ground for waves 1-3 or 4 evn 5 if you are feeling good about it. While on the roof for the later waves come down when there are 3-5 enemies remaining as they will most likely be snipers off in the distance and stock up on ammo if needed.
Hiya. i have done this mode around 10 times and has a solo 3 times. Just usethe same mthod as shown in the video and even if everyone dies real quick then it makes no difference as you willstill complete it. Even if the randoms only do a little bit then it will help speed things up a little.
Now imagine tryna do this solo for only one gold bar and 250$ and it taking an hour or more.. thats a waste they need to update this and fix some things asap!!
Hiya mate. For the month of October the normal Call to Arms are replaced by the Halloween ones. I have done a seperate guide video for the easiest one which is Armadillo. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NSa8PKxOz9o.html
Up on that roof. Make sure you have dynamite and stay extra vigilant of the armoured guy coming up the ladder. It doesnt happen often but land the dynamite at his feet and try to blast him off the roof. (Dynamite starts spawning around wave 6 if you dont have any.) Most of the time they go over to the other roof so just use a sniper rifle on him to take him down without explosive ammo. (One spawns on the same roof as shown in the video) Hopefully this information helps buddy.
Hiya mate. Not exactly sure of the tone here. This video was originally released during the first week of Call to Armms where this event paid out 3 gold and 900+ dollars a time. I didnt want to remove the guide as it still serves as a good guide so I simply rebranded it. (Not wanting the thumbnail or title to be misleading). Also this is done much quicker with friends so after the event if you want to avoid cooldown then join with a friend and simply switch posse in between completions and avoid the cooldown altogether. Hopefully this clears things up.
I did something similar in Valentine, got to wave 9 when suddenly a machete guy appeared behind me. I got so scared that I fell of the roof, aaand that was about it, lol.
Same happened to me! I’ve been doing the valentine mode and never have the machete guys climbed up to the stable building. Untill the last wave for the first time one climbed up and got me from the back.
I stayed on the ground for wave 1,2 and 3. Sticking with regular ammo and replenishing at the boxes in between waves. Then not needing any more refills after that. With the ammo pouch increase perks I can hold 400+ rounds each on the pistols and revolvers, 400+ on the sniper rifle and around 850 rounds for the repeater. Not including explosive rounds so plenty to be getting on with.
@@Nightmarex_13932 Use regular ammo and stay on the ground until around wave 4-5 if possible. For wave 6-8 use pistols or revolvers exclusively and snipe as many enemies as possible to save repeater ammo for when it is needed. Basically save all the best ammo until last. Make sure you are stocked in each ammo category beforehand too (split point, high-velocity and express)
@@thangadurairajac3101 Show me how. I just wasted 21 gold on a variant that only applies to one revolver. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J8DwGHM0KFY.html
Great, great & great! Thank you for doing this very informative video!!! The "match-making" in this game is horrendous... I am level 255 (for today) and the game puts me in a session with level 10-20 players!!! 😡 I don't have anything against newbies, BUT this is not a game-mod for starters and so I have to play on my own - at least at wave 5/6! So, your vid is a great help for anybody with the same problems - and since Blackwater is my 2nd fav map, you really made my day... thx again! You earned yourself a new subscriber (me)!!! 😉 Could you consider making the same content about valentine? That would be great, too! Greetings from Hamburg, Germany Philip :-)
Hello there buddy. Yeah I keep getting put with low level players too who die every wave or no randoms at all. This guide is the best turtle strategy for what I think is the easiest call to arms mode. I am glad the video helped buddy. Also greetings from the UK.
Hiya mate. Depending on what platform you play on there are numerous different methods. Let me know your platform and I will try and find you a good link.
@@bacon6785 Hiya mate. Yeah I know there is an xbox method that involves changing the "mtu" in system settings but I cannot find a good guide. 50% of the time I get a solo session anyway. Just search for xbox one solo method for rdo. It is not the poker table method. That will not work for this.
@@wondersgtagaming oh no it didn't put me off it's a solid way of defeating Blackwater, I just found it funny the other players got so butt hurt I was camping the roof. 👍
The Rain is bad? How about the fog. Good god man, couldn't see crap. The great thing about the roof is one way up, the bad thing about the roof, my character seems to want to keep moving after I let go the movement key, Then fall off......"sigh"
Hiya mate. Yeah this video was intended for those who were having trouble completing any call to arms mode and especially during the triple payout (3 gold) which was brought in for the first week of these missions being released.
You can make a lot of gold bars by going to round seven to gain 2.10 gold and then kill your self and you keep all the gold for the rounds played and there is no cool down but you don’t get any money when you restart it
Whats the point of griding out thia stuff when hackers can just poof anything they want rigjt infront of people. Rdr online is broke and the peer to peer connection makes it dangerous to play.
Hiya mate. Sometimes you get a solo but even if you get randoms just let them do as they please and carry on with the method shown in this guide. You will be finished in no time.
Lower MTU. Depends on time of day. If really late, mtu trick works flawlessly. Anything before 10pm and you may get disconnected a few tries before u finally get in.
@@wondersgtagaming Yeah unless you get a random that blows you up with dynamite ☹️..............I had that idiot player doing that to me yesterday and they really spoilt my game. Needless to say we didn't get anywhere near wave 10.
