3º Festival Fado Faro | 30-31 Agosto'24 

A 3ª edição do Festival de Fado de Faro abriu com ‘António Pinto Basto’ e fechou com ‘AL Mouraria’. Tendo a curiosidade de se realizar em dois fins de semana, o primeiro e o último de Agosto, o certame que aconteceu no Coreto do jardim Manuel Bivar, fez uma aposta nos fadistas e músicos com incidência maior nos residentes em Faro, aos quais foi dedicada uma das noites.
O fado de Coimbra entrou pela primeira vez no festival com a presença de antigos alunos da cidade universitária que em Faro formaram o grupo “In Versus”. A fechar o festival sobiu ao palco o grupo “AL Mouraria” que celebra este agora 21 anos de existência.
A 3.ª edição do Festival de Fado de Faro foi dinamizado pela Associação de Fado do Algarve e integrou o programa de animação “Verão em Faro”.
Este programa de animação foi uma parceria entre o Município de Faro, a Associação de Comércio e Serviços do Algarve (ACRAL), a Associação do Comércio da Baixa (ADCZHF), a Associação dos Industriais Hoteleiros e Similares do Algarve (AIHSA) e a Associação Cultural e Ativista da Baixa de Faro (ACABF).

The 3rd edition of the Faro Fado Festival opened with ‘António Pinto Basto’ and closed with ‘AL Mouraria’. With the curiosity of taking place over two weekends, the first and last of August, the event, which took place on the bandstand in the Manuel Bivar garden, focused on fado singers and musicians with a greater emphasis on Faro residents, to whom one of the evenings was dedicated.
Fado from Coimbra entered the festival for the first time with the presence of former students from the university city who formed the group ‘In Versus’ in Faro. Closing the festival was the group ‘AL Mouraria’, which is now celebrating its 21st anniversary.
The 3rd edition of the Faro Fado Festival was organised by the Algarve Fado Association and was part of the ‘Summer in Faro’ entertainment programme.
This entertainment programme was a partnership between the Municipality of Faro, the Algarve Trade and Services Association (ACRAL), the Downtown Trade Association (ADCZHF), the Algarve Hotel and Similar Industries Association (AIHSA) and the Downtown Faro Cultural and Activist Association (ACABF).
