Do gems even matter? The core of the build is Scold's Bridle + Acuity + cwdt. You can put anything into cwdt as long as it involves shitting out projectiles.
Omg, I tried doing a leap slam build, with brightbeak + pris sword for speed, and discharge, bladefall + acuity amu but it didn't work out and I gave up on figuring it out. This is great though!
I'm new to POE but is he actually throwing out all those skills because he's taking so much damage at an absurd rate? Or is there something else that procs all the CWDT skills?
KillerChopSuey I saw that he has CWDT in all his equipment but I didn't see leap strike in any equipment when I checked out his character on the POE site. And how does he damage himself with leapstrike?

Not only is Zerphi's rather pointless/useless, but it wouldn't do anything at all, because mana flask effects end when the character reaches maximum mana.
Spend *35 exalted orbs* on an Atziri's Acuity and another *5-6 exalted orbs* on Scold's Bridle and you're all set. Just socket your CWDT and spells in, and maybe some Fevered Mind jewels and watch things die.
He's just exploiting a gem & helm mechanic. His actual build path is really vanilla. The path has almost nothing but life and attk spd / crit nodes which I don't even think are optimized.
It's something like; mind over matter, scolds bridle and 7-8 fevered minds to increase the mana cost. When he leaps he deals around 2k damage to himself and around 300 of that to his mana. All of his links except for Leap slam seem to be cwdt setups. Judging from the amount of spells, he probably has at least 1 support gem on most of his links. Berserker to sustain both mana and health taken as damage purely with leech. It may also be that his leap slam simply costs 300 ish, and deals around 2k damage to him through scolds. That might be why its linked to high cost multipliers instead of leaving the sockets open for more spells. Min maxing the damage taken with your own damage output all the way to shaper, must have been a fucking nightmare. Nice build.
The question you _should be_ asking is how does he get mana back so quickly. This was never ever possible until 3.0 when they added instant mana leech to Atziri's acuity.
dude plz, let us know what you are running. i bet it's really expencive but if i could get a build like this running below 3ex clearing at least tier 10 in standard, that would be great, this looks so fun and i wish i could play a build very similar to this
