I rarely stay on long videos without skipping, but yours made me feel like I was part of the roadtrip, I’m about to pull the trigger on a 2014 S5 and taking it from LA to Alberta, Canada
The tyre is due to wear not damage…. Normally excessive chamber (and tracking) when a car is lowered. Easily missed if you don’t fully check the inner edges of your tyre properly. See it all the time and always seems to be a surprise owner.
What an awesome car and trip! I hanker after the clean lines of the B8 RS5. I have a B9 which has awesome performance but not the same look! Love your wheels.
This video is amazing! I "drove" my Favorite car of all time through a fantastic route! Please next time or in the next upload please don't fast forward the driving experience! It could a be a relaxing video with some nice music and some ....V8 interruptions in between! Awesome work! Keep up Subbed
So I have done a Vancouver BC to Anaheim (with a few stops in between) in a 2003 VW Golf GTi (24v - VR6), in my 2010 Audi A4 and plan to do this next year in my 2014 RS5. I know the pains of dealing with the gremlins in long drives with my RS5, so kudos for you not giving up and making it all the way!!! Also glad you got to see the #1 highway through the Rockies and also the Coquihalla in BC... it is one of the best drives in the world without a doubt!
Planning to car camp in my A7 this April during the Solar Eclipse. Baltimore, might get lucky and go to Ohio, but cloud cover may have me go to Dallas. Back seats down, I fit perfectly on one side. Have dark tint windows. Just going to stealth camp wherever is quiet.
Love the content, really nice build you have too. Most would think its dumb to plan the trip that way. But i feel only a certain few would do such a thing and im totally with you on this (:
Did a similar trip up the PCH in an A5, hit some flooding and ripped the plastics out from underneath...FUN DRIVE tho. Stopped at a Penzoil to put em back in and zip em up.
What happened to your destination of Lake Louise? The closest you seem to have got was Canmore. Also, Lake Louise is NOT in British Columbia. Surprised you didn't get lost! Looking forward to a road trip from Canada to Moab, New Mexico!
i did a road trip with my 2009 Audi S5 V8 from Modesto California to Richmond Virginia non stop only for gas and then i came back to my 209 Town Modesto California total i put 5,600 mile in My audi S5 in 6 days
ECS 12.5mm in front and 10mm in the back. You can’t go wrong as long as you get hubcentric spacers with the correct lug bolts. Do not attempt to use OEM lug bolts with spacers.
such beautiful countries and a nice roadtrip.... only thing which sucks, is the speed limit with a car like that. i am glad, we dont have this in Germany :) But we cant modify cars like in U.S., especially exhausts.
🤣 I just found your video today, and I just got back two days ago from driving my B7 S4 (4.2, DCT, Mag ride, Cabriolet, but only 7k RPM) from Texas to Northern California and back. 1.4k miles one way, but in today's economy I took it slow and got a 28.9 MPG average over the trip. I took a pic since I had never seen that high of an MPG on this car before. On the way back, I stopped only for gas, food, and drinks for a total of a 26-hour drive. Dont try that... I don't recommend it.
I'm really contemplating replacing my Stage2+TCU A6 with this gen of RS5. Am I going to likely have much higher maintenance and repair bills? I already know it's slower but probably more fun. Definitely depreciates less by now.
Im looking to mod my A5 TFSi Sline 2 door ' what size downpype do you guy think is best and exhuast ' x pype or single ' what size tips looks amazing ' and what rear defuser would be affordable but still look amazing?
Hi, I have the same car in the UK and just put the same Michelin tyres on. What pressures are you running? Do you think there is a floaty front end feel to previous tyres?
For $50 bucks you can grab a solid portable compressor with digital gauge off of amazon. I have them in each one of my cars. Solid insurance policy for DD and track days.
Talk about being ill prepared, especially when going on such a long road trip. Audi A8 4.2L V8 Tdi, would’ve been the perfect car with 75% less fuel consumption & twice the amount of torque than the RS5.
