The characterization of Rartiy in this was absolutely superb. She's always been my favorite out of the main cast, and I really love how her and her generosity is portrayed here. Apollo also relating to her was a great touch too.

Personally Spike's ability to send letters directly to Princess Celestia back in the show's day. I always believe that it was Celestia that cast that message sending spell on him when he was still young
Also that post credits segment sure gave us a glimpse of how hellish Overall’s life was. I’m still not convinced of the suicide though, especially now that there’s possible evidence that there was yet another pony present who hasn’t been identified yet.

@@AceAttorneyElementsofJusticeyou did an amazing job & so far, Spike was able to help them found some evidence about what Overall’s been doing before he died & they met a Pegasus named Amber Gleam, an investigative photojournalist, she also met Spike & Applejack & somehow recognize them as the Hero of the Crystal Empire & one of the Element Bearers, there’s something I have learned that Apollo sensed a nervous habit inside of her & seems to be acting suspicious like she’s hiding something after mentioning about Cruise Control & I have a hunch that Suri Polomare isn’t the only one holding a grudge against Rarity & Coco, she seem to be holding your grudge against Rarity & Spike too, if Spike’s going to convince Apollo & Trucy to be their Co-Council for the trial, there’s only one way he can do, he has to tell them the truth that he’s Rarity’s favorite dragon like he did last time while saving her from the Inspiration Manifestation spell, if he doesn’t, he won’t be able to save her & the good thing is he’s able to let Phoenix & Sonata know what’s going on & there’s gonna be some connection between Rarity being accused for Overall Concept’s death & Rainbow Dash being accused for poisoning a Pegasus at the Wonderbolts Academy.🐉❤️🔥🤔🔎

@@iangaude3923 As I recall during the credit presentation, we saw a shadow of a pegasus on the scene where Overall was killed. Since Amber Gleam seems to know about him, I'm starting to suspect that she might be the fourth party involved in his death and flew up to the higher railing in the darkness before anyone could see her. I can't say what her motive would be for killing Overall, but that shadowy figure of a Pegasus must be foreshadowing that that very Pegasus is his killer. So, I'm putting my bets that Amber is his true killer.
@dragonman2168 Hmmmm you may not be far off she was being pretty suspicious when Cruise's name was brought up so she might be involved in this case, but we still have more questions and answers we don't know yet so we'll see when the episode comes out.
Okay so just rewatched episodes 1 and 2 for this case. so far with this episode, evidence we have for Rarity's case is: A vial devoid of contents. Overall's history with the Pantominia sisters. Overall's friendship with Cruise Control from Rainbow's first trial. A list the sisters gave Cruise. A letter that is the key evidence for Rarity's guilt. A flyer for the Equestrian 600, a tour of the Wonderbolt academy with a plus one being a prize. Rumors about Overall's and Estella's relationship. A room big enough to fit a pony found in Overall's room at bridleway. Rarity's seating at the play. And Overall's old job at KMA. For Rainbow we have: Juice boxes with two shipping numbers, one linked to a whole carton of boxes in Rainbow's locker. A tornado ripping through the landing strip on the day of a tour and injuring two ponies. The victim showing no signs of poisoning in their system despite suspected poison. Rainbow's tumultuous relationship with the victim. And a tear in the mattress next to Rainbow's bed. I think I have some ideas... mostly for Rainbow's case. The juice box is probably going to be a fluke, possibly stream line stealing one of rainbow's juices when she ran out of her own stash. But with Stream's symptoms and how Rainbow spoke when mentioning her... I think it's safe to assume a similar scenario to Lightning Dust, but Stream Line acted alone and wasn't physically prepared to control the tornado... And with Cruise Control being part of the Equestrian 600, I think it's safe to assume he won and took his sister along. We never got her name in Turnabout Storm but I think she was the filly that was injured by the tornado. As for Overall... That case is still throwing me for a loop, but from how Overall acted when Cruise mentioned the list at the end... I'd say him leaving the picture of the sisters at KMA was intentional. Edit: Just rewatched ALL of the series, I think the letter that incriminated Rarity is the same one Suri received about Overall's special fabric. I also can't help but feel Lawkeeper Equity is going to be more involved in everything than she's currently letting on, she ticks me off with how she forced her belief of trust down Athena's throat in Case 2. ALSO TWILIGHT AND HER FRIENDS KEEP BEING REFERRED TO AS ELEMENT BEARERS! WILL ANYPONY EVER EXPLAIN WHAT THAT MEANS TO PHOENIX AND HIS TEAM!? THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY ARE! I hope with Twilight and Athena not being present, Twilight is taking time to explain things to Athena about her summoning them and all the important stuff about Equestria, cuz rn the humans are just stumbling around getting by with the skin of their teeth when it comes to Equestrian customs and history.

Along with of coarse Stream Line herself. It’s likely Lightning Dust might have something to do with this. It’s likely that say if she were already expelled from the academy, she trespassed onto the campus and attempted to Rainbow Dash as revenge for getting her kicked out of the Wonderbolts reserved. She was doing all she can to sabotage Rainbow Dash and either intentionally or unintentionally framed Stream Line for this. She intended to poison Rainbow but somehow poisoned Stream Line by mistake. Then unintentionally or intentionally framed Rainbow Dash as a last resort. Though, since Stream Lines test for any poison showed negative, it’s likely she didn’t consume any of the laced juice boxes. Maybe the box wasn’t laced with anything poisonous but maybe some sort of medicine that causes people to get drowsy. Maybe Lightning Dust was the one who created the tornado and Stream Line passed out maybe not from creating the tornado but perhaps doing something else strenuous. There’s also a possibility that Stream Line passed out from exhaustion from trying to Lightning Dust. What do you think? Do you think it will be possible before the trial, Pinkie could also be arrested too along with be trialed as well as an accomplice of Rainbow? @@kmmk5022 To my mind, there was no poison, no medicine. Stream Line paticipated [possibly with other pegasus] in creating a tornado. So maybe a training session wasn't "nothing out of ordinary". She was working so hard with a tornado, that she was *exhausted* by the end of the training. I think she has been trying to say: "Stay away from Landing Strip, I'm so sorry". oh, and Pinkie will be a regular suspect, at least at the beginning.
An Element Bearer here is most likely "a pony who represents an Element of Harmony," and due to the Mane 6 all representing the Elements of Harmony, it would make everything more understandable.
OH MY GOSH, THIS IS GETTING SO GOOD! 🤩 First of all, the emotion is, as usual, both moving in how devoted Apollo, Sonata, and friends are to each other, as well as tense in the lingering mysteries that grab your attention. And speaking of mysteries, they just keep growing in both confusion and intrigue. That Amber pony is clearing keeping something more than just her mane hidden under that hat. The fact that TWO Element Bearers are both on trial CAN'T just be a coincidence. And, at watching this new episode, information and events from the previous episodes are starting to click. Such wonderful cohesion! Spike shined so brightly in this episode. It was WONDERFUL to get to see him contribute and help out. I've always loved Twilight's little dragon. ❤🐉 We also got a sneak-peak at the old Lawkeeper: Equity's mentor, who apparently fell from grace for dire reasons. As Philo said, "People love a fallen hero more than a vanquished villain", or something along those lines. But WHAT could he have done? And was it REALLY his fault? And Overall Concept . . . he was clearly trapped in a dire situation. Something tells me something, or somepony, had him under their eye and hoof. And if so, there may be a dark conspiracy underway in Equestria. I fear this wonderful world may be on the verge of its own Dark Age of the Law. . . . To all working on Elements of Justice, THANK YOU so much for creating this series. You clearly have a deep love for both Ace Attorney and MLP; it clearly shows in the art, animation, voice acting, and the fantastic story. Keep up the wonderful work. 😊
Now the mystery has gotten even bigger. What could Overall Concept be hiding? What is the true story between him and the sisters - Estella Pantomimia and Espie? What was on the list that Estella gave to Cruise Control? And why does it involve the ponies of Keresmatic Mare’s Attic? And once again, why are the Wonderbolts the main prize?
@@kieranburke7876One of the ways is that the Equestrian 600 had a prize of a tour of the Wonderbolts Academy; which, incidentally, happened the same day Stream Line collapsed. If you remember from episode 2, Spitfire mentioned that the tour they were giving that day was a prize for a flight competition and this episode pretty much confirmed that. My bet is that the filly from episode 2, Sky High, was the pony who won the competition; or, at the very least, was the pony chosen by the winner to come on the tour with him/her (I’m fairly certain that Cruise Control was the winner).
Got some interesting dirt this time around. Amber Gleam, Overall having some ties with Estella, plus Cruise Control, even the Lawkeeper Earth pony displayed at the courthouse (just a hint ofc). Nice to see more plot lines being added to the story, that’s what makes it interesting. Great episode EOJ team, keep up the good work!
So Amber and Stella are somehow involved in Overall's case. The list is definitely suspicious. It looks like Overall and Stella might have been involved in something incredibly dangerous.
I'm starting to suspect that Amber might be his true killer. During the end credits scene, going through the night of his death, we see the shadowy figure of a Pegasus over the catwalk. And, if we are to assume that there WAS a fourth party both involved in Overall's death AND was able to hide without anypony noticing, then the most logical answer would have to be that the killer MUST be a pegasus. The only Earth ponies who last saw Overall before he died were Suri and Coco; who we both already proven innocent. Plus, Earth ponies can not escape from either side of the catwalk without being seen by Suri or Coco, let alone anyone else in the audience. Now, while I WAS thinking that a unicorn could have teleported in, killed Overall, and escaped before being seen, I've begun to rethink that possibility. If a Unicorn DID teleport, obviously there would have been a flash of light from atop the catwalk, if not two, from said teleportation spell. And no party involved ever mentioned anything like that. That leaves the killer being a pegasus, which, if we can take into consideration, DOES have a method of getting away without anyone noticing. Due to Pegasi having wings, one could have easily gotten the drop on Overall from up above in the high darkness, like Batman dropping a sneak attack on his foes, killing Overall, and immediately flying back up without making a peep, being seen, or leaving behind anything that would suspect them being there. And seeing as Amber Gleam is the only Pegasus we know who has a connection with Overall, not including Cruise Control due to their close friendship, I think it's reasonable to assume that Amber is the most likely suspect who could have killed him. Your thoughts?
@@dragonman2168 I'll admit I missed the pegasus over the catwalk. Your logic for it being a pegasus is pretty tight. The only way I could see a unicorn do it without teleportation is if they used an invisibility spell to do it which we know exists thanks to Starlight. Though I'm assuming that is a high-level spell that only magic users like Twilight and Starlight could pull off and no one like that is involved. Amber is definitely the most suspicious suspect, but I will admit it feels a little too obvious. These cases have never been that quite straightforward. I'm honestly a little worried about Cruise Control since we know he can be blackmailed into doing horrible things when it comes to his sister, he has seen the list which is involved in some kind of danger, and Amber definitely feels like a pony who could blackmail a decent number of ponies. Also, the fact that they are bringing up the idea of Rarity being a conspirator in Overall's death makes me wonder if multiple ponies are involved in his murder. My biggest guess besides Amber is Stella or his sister and they blame Overall for some wrong he committed against them. Either way you bring up some good points.
Wow, I bet I wasn't the only one who was excited about the return of Cruise Control for this case, being a faithful friend of Overall Concept and, at the same time, very surprised about what they hide regarding their close friends before the events of the series. 🤔 Even as this story becomes more complex, I'm glad that some notable supporting characters have more stories to tell after redeeming themselves (unlike some forgettable ones from the main MLP G4 series). 👍👍

@@jcj268 I can't imagine that there would be much work available for assassins in a country with a murder rate of n/a. It wouldn't surprise me if they were into other shady stuff though, stuff which might make them willing to kill to protect their secrets. My current theory is that the disappearance of the Pantomimia sisters, Overall's death, and the tornado that hit Wonderbolt Academy are all tied to that list Estella gave Cruise Control.
Honestly, Spike's reaction seen at minute 42:23 of the video was really funny and ironic since, despite his age, we know those types of personal experiences that he was able to acquire through his friends or as a means to help them (yep , especially those related to Rarity, wink, wink). 😁😁
Despite being only about an hour long, this story just felt like it kept going and going, and I love that. :D Also... . . . . that ending tease. That dread in Overall's voice. The chapter title, "Where Devils Lurk". There is a very evil conspiracy happening.
Hold on, Cruise Control participated in a race where the prize was a tour for him and one other to tour the Wonderbolt Academy... and one of the ones injured there was a filly... if this is Cruise Control's sister, she really has the worst luck, doesn't she?
I really hope that it wasn't Cruise's sister cause come on they been through enough especially sense Ace kind of almost killed Cruise's sister by threatening Cruise by taking her out of the hospital that is just low.

My prediction for Estella’s disappearance was that she committed suicide and left a suicide note implicating who made her commit suicide. So, I guess I was kinda right with the list unveiled in this post-credits?
Well, despite her usual stubborn attitude was still coming, at least it's nice to show Dash some compassion towards Sonata before her case. Surely, during the subsequent trial, we will see some soap opera moments or something similar of overcoming between this two mares at the end (still taking into account that Sonata is being represented as the new Miles Edgeworth in this series XD). 👍👍

Just love it. These continue to be cinematic masterpieces at this point. The characters are so expressive and the mystery is unpredictable. Voice acting impeccable. I am left totally bamboozled and confused but I think that's a good thing? Either way good stuff.

The fliers race was scheduled for February 17th, and that it’s sponsored by both the wonderbolts and kma. 39:24 the winners of the race would be given a tour of wonderbolt academy, along with one other pony. Case B: 59:39 letter from Apollos group: The letter reiterates the groups discovery of a possible connection between manehattan and the wonderbolt academy, as well as their other findings so far.
Kind of, it's at least the more plausible option with the time frame of the series, but usually the effort of breaking it lasts for more than one cycle from the same individual, not their past self
I have come up with a theory after watching this amazing episode. Is it possible that Stella or Espie were at the theatre that night, hiding behind the curtain? Maybe they were blackmailing everyone Overall loved and were keeping tabs on him and on the night he died, Coco’s safety was threatened and that’s why Overall was angry. Overall might have helped the twins “disappear” and they occasionally pop in to remind him that they could harm anyone he loved. I don’t think those were dates that Stella and Overall went on either, I think those were just outings to remind Overall who has the upper hoof. I don’t know. If somepony distracted Overall Concept that night, I think Stella or Espie would be the ones to do it.

Sheesh, this episode so far has significantly expanded the evidence board into CIA-level as it thickened the mist of confusion. What was Amber hiding about Cruise Control? What was Cruise Control's connections to Overall and the KMA, besides being friends? What was that list Cruise mentioned about? And Cruise's sister, what involved her in?

Making a prediction for the prosecution and judges for each case before I watch them. I personally think that Trixie will be the prosecution for Rainbow Dash in order to parallel her first case with Phoenix. This can be supported with the whole Groundhog Day scene 12:31 as a way to foreshadow this. This also can fit narratively with Sonata’s arch of proving herself trustworthy by defending Rainbow against Trixie. This means that Luna will be the one prosecuting Rarity. How do we who will be the judge for these cases? Well we know that our judges will be Celestia and Judge, and I don’t think that Celestia will oversee a case that her sister is prosecuting to avoid favoring her sister, so Celestia will oversee Rainbow’s case and Judge will rule over Rarity’s case.
Yeah if she didn't do that stupid blackmail scheme Royal Order wouldn't have been killed, Turning wouldn't gotten in trouble, and Especially ripped Scootallo and Sweetie Bells friendship to shreds.
DT's actions may have set in motion the tragic butterfly effect that caused the events of Crusading for a Turnabout, but you can hardly blame her for the decisions and actions everyone else took that lead to both the death of a pony and the tragic aftermath that followed

KMA is most definitely a front for the Mob, and the list of ponies who work at KMA with their descriptions seems like a rudimentary dossier. One sister got "disposed of", while the other is on the run, possibly in a forest or some place isolated. I feel like Cruise or his sister is gonna get kidnapped by the Mod and used as blackmail for the trial, kinda like Matt Engarde's case, but a lil different.
This would be a pretty true scenario for the mob back in the old days. They do make sure to silence people for situations and prevent someone from talking. Idk if movies have interpreted mobs or the mafia correctly tho.

Discovered randomly on Twitter since then i watched all the case's and all i can say is a fan of the 2 licence I'm full of joy everything is great the animation, the text, the story i love it and with my 2 favorites on both licence Rarity and Apollo justice interacted with each other is amazing congrats for to you and your team for this awesome job i can't wait to see what's happen next
MLPArts continues to show amazing VA skills as Rarity. But I think most of the comments below have already described how good the performance was for me. Webshoter has also shown some wonderful improvements to they're Apollo Justice voice. I can tell they've gotten used to the role and is mastering Apollo's mannertisms and personality beautifully. Bravo to everyone.
I wonder if Overall knew of the kind of shady things that Cruise was doing? Further more what's this list Stella had and what kind of secrets did it hold. It's even more strange that both Rarity and Rainbow Dash are on trial at the same time with two deceased victims from previous cases that they had a connection to? Why does it feel like someone is out to get the Element Bearers?
@@kmmk5022 I know, but Rainbow is still being accused of attempted murder. My focus is trying to figure out why Overall Concept and Cruise Control are being brought back into this. I know that for Overall it’s because supposed new evidence was brought to light that his death was a murder and not a suicide, but why is Cruise being mentioned again. That case was closed a year ago in the MLP world.

More than anyone at the Wright Anything Agency, it feels like all the weird stuff keeps happening to him, not to mention the bad luck and lack of respect he tends to get on the regular. And here's yet another bit of unusualness in this case: happy as Rarity is to not have to deal with Prince Blueblood as prosecutor (can't blame her, of course), she hasn't even been approached by a prosecutor yet, so we still don't know who's going to be handling her case from the other side of the courtroom... Still, this MIGHT not be as difficult as it could be. After all, Rarity's not being charged with directly murdering Overall, but of being a conspirator in his death. All Apollo has to do is prove she had no involvement in it. And then there's this letter that supposedly incriminates Rarity. I remember Suri bringing up a letter that compelled her to come to the theater the night of Overall's death, but she wouldn't say anything about it. I wonder if that has anything to do with it... And a good little tidbit to know: Apollo's a fan of Groundhog Day. He's got a good taste for classic movies, lol That was a sweet little speech from Rarity, too. She hasn't forgotten the hurtful things Rainbow Dash said about Sweetie Belle, but she knows Rainbow better than that. She may act selfish and insensitive at times, but she really does have her heart in the right place, especially for her friends, and Rarity's not going to turn her back on her now, when she's accused of a crime she'd never commit. That's true friendship and generosity right there. And it transitions nicely into Apollo showing his conviction by promising to prove Rarity's innocence. For someone who's had the roughest transition adjusting to life in Equestria, he's certainly coming into his own again, now that he has a client to defend. Atta boy, Polly. =) 'What is faith without doubt?' Now there's a phrase I've heard before, and from Apollo himself... And there's another gut-punch: having to send Sweetie Belle home. It's true that Spike's been cold to her, and Rarity knows he'd want to be doing something to help her, no matter how small, even if Sweetie would too, but I suppose it really is for the best. After all, as Applejack herself said, nothing about this whole situation has been fair to any of them. Well, even if Overall's dressing room is deprived of evidence, which, as Spike said, is a little too suspicious, since it's the last place he was seen when he was still alive, it did provide an interesting new line of thought with that curtained area. If Overall's back was turned when Suri entered to steal the fabric, something, or somepony, must have been there to distract him. And yet, with no evidence to confirm, it's only a possibility at this point, but one that shouldn't be ignored. But hey, a flyer for the Equestrian 600? Guess they made the race longer since last time. And a familiar name: Cruise Control! But why was his name circled, and why was the flyer hidden? She also knows something about Cruise Control, enough to set Apollo's bracelet off, but it doesn't look like we're gonna find out what anytime soon...Still, she said he's one of the best racers 'now'. Of course, we knew he wasn't the best before, when Ace Swift was running his blackmailing scheme with Sonata, but why would that make her tense?... Well, in other news, a stroke of brilliance: Twilight enchanted Spike's dragon fire to send messages to Phoenix's phone! Now both sides can be up-to-date on their findings! Though, seeing it work in action, seems...unorthodox, lol But holy crap, Phoenix and Sonata are about to step right into the trial. Things are moving pretty quickly...TOO quickly, if you ask me. I'm still convinced something's up with how swiftly the proceedings are going here, and with how little time the defense has had to investigate. Still, this isn't the first time Phoenix has been in this situation, and in times like these, it's a good time to fall back on the first basic tenant of being a defense attorney: trust in your client. So long as Sonata holds onto her faith that Rainbow Dash is innocent, no one and nothing can take that away from her. It's good to see Phoenix channeling what Mia taught him. =) Even if Sonata didn't get to explain who it was in that portrait, judging by the background, I think I can already guess: the previous Lawkeeper, perhaps? 'What?! How?! Why?! I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!" Nice DBZ Abridged reference. XD Looks like next time, it'll be Rainbow Dash's trial. I know Sonata and Phoenix will be able to pull it off somehow, and maybe we can finally start getting some answers... And now for our post-credits revelation. So Overall and Cruise Control were friends, and Overall had been going through hell working at KMA, and while he was daunted about moving onto Bridleway, he was hopeful for the future, especially if Coco would be by his side. But he was still grieving about losing the Pantomimia sisters, and others in his life, too...But that was a shocking turn for the troubling, Cruise bringing up a list that Estella left him, the very mention of which made Overall...almost threatening...How many secrets was he hiding, that he intended to take with him to his grave?...
It’s likely that there’s been a misunderstanding between Rainbow Dash and Stream Line Pinkie was at the academy likely because she’s been sneaking in contraband for Rainbow by smuggling in the grape juice, hence why she’s a witness. Besides Pinkie Pie, Fleetfoot and Sky High will likely be two other witnesses that will testify in court too since they’re also victims, getting injured from the tornado. Along with of coarse Stream Line herself. It’s likely Lightning Dust might have something to do with this. It’s likely that say if she were already expelled from the academy, she trespassed onto the campus and attempted to Rainbow Dash as revenge for getting her kicked out of the Wonderbolts reserved. She was doing all she can to sabotage Rainbow Dash and either intentionally or unintentionally framed Stream Line for this. She intended to poison Rainbow but somehow poisoned Stream Line by mistake. Then unintentionally or intentionally framed Rainbow Dash as a last resort. Though, since Stream Lines test for any poison showed negative, it’s likely she didn’t consume any of the laced juice boxes. Maybe the box wasn’t laced with anything poisonous but maybe some sort of medicine that causes people to get drowsy. Maybe Lightning Dust was the one who created the tornado and Stream Line passed out maybe not from creating the tornado but perhaps doing something else strenuous. There’s also a possibility that Stream Line passed out from exhaustion from trying to Lightning Dust. What do you think? Do you think it will be possible before the trial, Pinkie could also be arrested too along with be trialed as well as an accomplice of Rainbow? Like I said before, the most likely reason why Pinkie was there as a witness was because she was helping Rainbow smuggle the grape juice into the academy so I kinda do see Pinkie also getting arrested too
You know...... that's actually a good theory. I never would have thought of that. Whoever it was, they must have been after Cruise and his sister after they were given some serious dirt on KMA. I wonder just what kind of workplace it is? Given how Playwright and Overall brought it up, I think its safe to say its nothing good.
Do you think Ace Swift will be brought up again. After all, he used blackmail to gain his victories. I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of these scandals would be involved with one of those cases
I don't really watch MLP, its not really my kind of show from what I saw, plus there's nowhere I have access to streaming it legitimately. This series though makes me want to give it another try though. I'm loving the writing and overall interaction between phoenix and the other ace attorney characters, and the MLP characters. Its been a long time since I played the AA games, so maybe the music is being recycled, but the music is really hitting the AA vibe, and I love that phoenix hasn't changed his ringtone for 8 and a half years. I've been following since some time in the second arc, and I had to go back and watch the first one. I look forward to move episodes in this arc :) Given how little I know about MLP, it keeps me guessing, which is a breath of fresh air :) The voice work is fantastic, and the entire presentation seems to be very professional too. Thanks for all you do :)
Can someone tell me what Philo Reed's name is a reference too? I know the character names are usually puns or a reference to their profession and such. But his is just going over my head.
