Mr. Chris, you ALWAYS do great work but you took some beautiful topography and turned it into a landscape work of art. I hope you can revisit this place and the watershed behind your empoundment as I can only iagine how this will all mature. Bravo!!!
This was one of those jobs that, when you started, I couldn't get my head around how it was supposed to look & how it was going to work when it was finished, now it's done it was pretty obvious from the start, I just couldn't see it. It looks good Chris well done, great job 👍
Never thought of ponds as having character until seeing this pond. Most ponds same shape and boring, but this one with all the little coves and unique shore line...full of character. Great work.
I don't operate heavy machinery, but seeing Chris' friend operate the Volvo in this video and the last one really put Chris' skills into perspective... His friend was surprisingly good for someone who isn't used to the equipment, but Chris is just amazing, with much less wasted time and motion.
he is smooth and not rough on the machine. Although not fast he isn't slow either, and most importantly at the end of the day there isn't 1000's of damage. edit. And is is certainly a better operator than I!
It seems very wise to run the machine a bit slower knowing that it produces way more than the skid steer can move. I m curious to know if it runs in Eco mode. Just on a funny side, my 3 years old asks now to see Chris on TV. Chris you are (almost) the only videos he sees.,. ;)
I just went through hurricane Laura and this past weekend I went through hurricane Delta! I’ll be praying for y’all my brother! Stay safe up there! Awesome Job Chris! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can see why you are pleased with the result you have made happen here Chris. Seeing those few scoops of dirt thrown into the creek and now the pressure was on to make it happen was pretty cool. Not sure how many hours you have in your day, but has to be more than the 24 in mine lol. Look forward to seeing the garbage cap go on and the water all clear. Til the next project... best wishes from Newfoundland
The pond came out outstandingly - the new guy was/is a big help to you on both the skid and the Volvo. He getting used to the Volvo now. Change up from the Cat I would say... Would like to see this one when it is in bloom w/grass & water cleared up. Nice location the owner has for his self and the pond.
Those before and after shots at 48:38 and 48:43 puts it into perspective just how much dirt Chris moves in such a short time. But also show he has an eye for the finishing touches. Even though the pond has only just been strawed and seeded, you can see what the finish look is going to be.
Awesome job, and it's a hack of a great idea to inert at the end of the video before and after pictures taken from the same spot : makes us really appreciate the size of the job !
Will look real purdy in a month with all the grass through and the water clear. Sure made a big difference from where you started bro. Enjoyed all the videos from this project. Y'all stay safe
I like how you don't bitch an complain to your guys on how they do it don't do things . It's nice to see that not a lot of bosses can hold back from telling others how it needs to be done or complain about their work . Great job on the thought of videos an thanks for letting us watch what you do. It's calming to me I love to watch someone good operate machines .
Another great pond project Chris done to perfection. That looked really nice when you finished it. The house owner has got to be really pleased with the results, I know I would.!! Take care and be safe, look forward to your next project! Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧 🐞
Hey Chris, Awesome job on the pond sir. That quick shot before the drone started where your Volvo was sitting in front of allot of dirt and grass really showed how much dirt you and your helper moved. That was quite an undertaking for just 3.5 days. I bet that overflow is going to get a workout this week with all the rain coming. Take care and be safe out there.
Very nice pond and video. My only question is regarding the green matting: should the overlaps be in the other direction so that when the water flows, it doesn't lift up the next mat? Thanks for all the education you provide.
Man, You guys knocked that one slick out !! I like that "S" turn that backs up off to the right side, where all the snakes was when ya started. Turned out Super Nice Chris !! And your finish bucket works quite nice too !! Slicks it right up !! lolol....Great as Always Chris !! Great Job....Have a Great Evening....On to the Next !!
👍 Looks really nice; the rain from Delta will give it a good test and probably introduce fish from upstream. The planned fountain will keep the pond aerated for a healthy eco system.
Still images and drone footage of the finished project is a really nice touch. I noticed the tilt on your bucket is a little fast my thumb acts the same way is their a way to slow those down?
You know Chris, been following you for a while now. I also follow a few others that run heavy equipment around RU-vid. They do a fair job at what they do. Their jobs are passable. But you're an artist my brother. Ran a rubber tire for about 12 years, and a skid steer. the jobs I did were along the lines of utilities. ( mostly plumbing rough-ins, some lot clearing, and pad layouts. ), but they definitely weren't a work of art. and that's the difference. Thanks for sharing what you do. That job look pretty darn good considering everything.
