Hi, You make a great teacher.No matter which topic you take,you make it a point to give a clear explanation of that topic. A quick question you said in the video that it is a introductory video hence the topic is not covered in deep.I am preparing for Gate,can you suggest me any book for covering this topic in deep.

Great Job on the content! I have a suggestion... There's a slight background noise in the audio, I think a bit of audio processing to strip the noise will definitely improve audio clarity...

I have a doubt. When I am checking ""is Z redundant in WZ->Y ?"" then why we are hiding "WZ->Y" completely. Rather what we should do, is to HIDE ONLY Z i.e. keeping "W->Y" Because if Z is redundant in WZ->Y , then resulting FD will be W->Y.

here if we could find z from w, then should if reduce the dependency to w->y by taking the wz->y fd in consideration. basically what i am asking do we include this fd wz->y while checking left side redundancy or not?

sir, in the last step(in simplifying LHS), that particular (wz-y in given example) should be hidden or not while computing (wz-z)+ or (wz-w)+. It is more confusing. In some places(other's solutions) it is not hidden ans sir you have advised to hide it. Please clear the doubt. I will be highly obliged to you for it.

What do you understand by the term closure of a relation (R) with functional dependency set (F) ? Compute the closure for relation R(/, m, n, o, p) with functional dependency set F as given below : F{/ -> mn; no -> p; m -> o; p l} Identify the candidate keys for the relation (R) i dont know how to solve it please help sir

2:32 In functional dependency , if y --> x and y --> z then x=z right? How can we decompose it like that? suppose if we have y --> 345 and y --> 346 is valid. But decomposing them will create violations in functional dependency right?
