great video i really liked what you did with that led thing but what ive always thought about is, leds get very hot... why install them in a gaming system and make it warmer than it is!

AMAZING ..... Only if you are a kid below 7 years of age. All these can be done with a single led . What's amazing in doing it with an led strip. By the way. The first one was already done years back by kerala engineering students for free of cost during the flood in kerala.

Not really sure how the first one would be useful other than as a flashlight. The second one is almost completely useless. You can buy LED case fans for as cheap as everything you used. But you definitely saved the best for last. That one is a great idea, and I’m going to do that also for some drawers I have in my shed, and a few other areas. Overall pretty good video, if you just like to tinker and use LED strips for things.

Have youreversed the limit switch when put it on your cabinet? . Why did the light close when you click it?

Leonell Bais it’s what is known as a normally closed contact so when you ‘make the switch’ it’s open the contact and thus breaks the circuit, making the light go off. When the switch isn’t ‘made’ the circuit is complete and the light comes on

for the rgv fan, try sanding it so it have a "frosted" effect : it will diffuse the light in a better way !

Ok I've got to admit the computer fan was pretty slick, but here in the USA parts have become difficult to obtain unless you mail order everything. It's a shame kids dont have Radio Shack or similar stores anymore. I've been trying to teach my daughter how to soldier and some simple electronic circuits.

Have you checked out snap circuits? I'm in NY and agree with you. Which is why I am organizing a private Technology group to offer classes on basic electronics all the way up to novice python programming on Rpi... and in the midst of it hopefully being offered in NYC schools. Where are you in USA? Do you believe their are like-minded parents within you community? Please email me if you would like to see if we could possibly make such classes, which I feel have far more importance in my sons early education than most of the circulicum being offered. Email: Peterlvll16@gmail.com. I just may offer you some part time work if we have no-one close to your area. Please note "Tech/Ed" in subject line of email. Anyone is welcome to send requests. It is in our opinion from experience, the local parents will and must push for such Technology/Engineering programs . Remember alot of current educational faculty do not have enough time or understanding in such vital areas unfortunately. (PUTTING it nicely!)
