I'm 58 years old and stumbled on this band by accident. I love the sound and guitar technique. Every instrument blends beautifully. You've really got something there. Thanks!
Love the way the technicality of the guitar work dances around the straight, solid drum beat in this song. Big change from the way the drum parts tended to stick like glue to the phrasing of the guitar riffs on Animals. Really looking forward to the new album!
I think that's one of the great things about a lot of post rock and math rock, it is so impressive and beautiful that it appeals to real music fans of any generation. My parents are big fans too!
Can't wait to see y'all in Austin here next week. if any chance Chris, Tim, or Hank read this, please play Adventure, Stamina and Anger for Alex, Thanks guys. Much love.
I got the tab book, Henry's parts are usually in standard save for the acoustic track. As for Tim? Well let's just say be careful with tuning your strings or they might snap
@stanfordn no I couldnt tell because his face is cut off and because TTNG has another RU-vid account with more videos so I was lil confused. And seeing this extra guitarist who wasn't Stu, and did his own tapping riff, tripped me out further. I honestly thought +3 was their band name lol.
man, with tim playing alongside another very good guitar player i cant wait to see what they are able to do instrumentation wise. i know it will be good, that is for sure!
The only thing that struck me about the album version is that part of the groovy feel isn't there any more like there was here. Feels faster on the album, still amazing, but I guess there was something lost? The vocals make it though.
@PVK112 Why does it matter what the time signature is? Animals wasn't that crazy with time signatures in my opinion, and I learned the majority of it on guitar.
