This one is super personal but I like using mint in banishing/“darker” magic because for me I’m sensitive to it and my body reacts negatively to it, so for me it doesn’t have positive associations. I like the idea of using something you’re sensitive/allergic to as a banishing ingredient but only if you can handle it in a safe manner/aren’t deadly allergic to it. So uhhh, y’know, don’t use this idea if you’re deathly allergic to something!
Little Brazilian tip for your baths, darling (and anyone else who might want or need it). We use it a lot in a number of religions and spiritual traditions here in Brazil, we do baths for pretty much everything, but specially protection and cleanse. Most houses here don’t have a bathtub, we are people of showers lol so we just heat the bath up on the stove as you would a tea, sorts of, and just strain it afterwards, put it in a bucket or anything that serves as such and splash it over your body as you either pray, chant or imagine whatever it’s that you want to call upon yourself (or away from you). Don’t just throw it down, take your time to cleanse yourself spilling the ✨ spicy magic water ✨ over your body and invite in the energy you mean to attract. Hopefully this helps fellow bathtub-less witches out here ;)
In my tradition it's always "smoke the b*tch out" method XD. Amber is on the top of my list and rue is high, but if it's really bad - juniper and wormwood are my best friends :). On the other hand juniper is universal herb here. Protection? Burn juniper. Offering? Burn juniper. Banishing? Yeah, burn some juniper. When in doubt burn some juniper! XDXDXD Also I used "return to sender" from this recipe but I used mix of very hot peppers (someone gave me them, I'm not sure what it is - only that they're tiny, dried kill-me-please hot peppers) and wormwood mixture. To anyone doing this - please make sure that wind will take smoke away from you. Trust me on that. It's basically pepperspray. DO NOT INHALE For baths I use scented oils because I hate things floating in water with me :). Lemon and orange are my usual pick (lemon for throwing bad things out, orange for bringing good things in). If I were in need to get rid of something that really stuck to me I'd choose bath in river in summer so it will take it and carry it away. Hydrangea is not very popular where I live and has no cultural meaning (just pretty flower tbh) I'd use camomille instead or maybe st. John's wort. Instead of garlic clove I'd recomend using peels from them both for bath and carrying around - they are less stingy to hm-body parts and less prone to got moldy. It can be also substituted by dried nettle (there's not much more saying "go away" than hitting them with nettle XD)
Even though I've been practicing for a while now, I haven't gotten into banishing yet, mostly because I didn't really need it so far. I've focused more on cleansing and protection, but I've been wanting to learn more about banishing just in case I'll need it one day to be prepared and know what I can do to change the situation for the better. I'd say yes, but you probably want to strain the herbs out and make small amounts at a time to prevent any ickiness growing in it before you can use it up.
I actually tried the return to sender spell from your book (I modified it to my needs, since I didn't have hydrangeas on hand, and added a little binding) and it kinda worked, but it hasn't taken root completely. It also gave me the flu, which always happens when I do baneful magic, I came to the conclusion that that's the price I have to pay for it to work. If the problem with that particular person persists, I might try something stronger, but for now I only wanted to thank you for sharing your practice, it helps a lot. I think I just need a pot of hydrangeas, though, they're so pretty!
Tip for your not scalding bath faucet! At my old house all of the shower/bath faucets had a safety/governor on them! Since we didn’t have any kids in the house I turned them all they way up and also checked out water heater and it was also turned to a very low temp. So maybe check on those.
good idea. Additionally is the water heater might be too old & on it's way out. My neighbour had that, I told him it was probably the safety, since the properties were built for disabled people & have those, but when he got a plumber in to fix it, plumber found that part was fine, but the water heater was 20 years old & simply wasn't working properly anymore. Plumber replaced the heater & problem gone. If all that fails (could just be the heater's too small for the size of the bath) then "immersion heaters" are the way to go, they're basically a kettle like heating element that's designed to be put directly into the tub of water to be heated
This was so real and easy to follow. Thank you so much for your suggestions for the Banishing Spells. I haven't been practicing for a minute. I've been a solitary witch for a long time and I kind of stopped practicing sometime after 2015 (had to do with what was happening in my personal life, not because of any change in my beliefs). But it's really cool to start to reconnect with people who see things like I do. For the question, i don’t really do banishing (don’t need to as of now i should say) but i perform the daily banishing ritual from Jason Miller in his book Protection and Reversal Magick for about a month straight and i gave me an new outlook on daily practice and the impact it have on myself. It was the first time i did attempt to include ceremonial magick and it change my perspective on this type of magick.

They definitely need a taste of their own medicine! btw if you are still having issues with a lukewarm bath, try an "immersion heater". I need to heat water for my hydrotherapy & they're fantastic! Use a lot of power, but I use 3 in a 1000 litre mini pool & heat it 7c (14f) per hour. In a regular bath, one should get it to whatever temp you like within half an hour or less, just throw it in, plug it in & it acts like a kettle with no messing around moving water, just heats directly where the water is

She makes constant complaints about ME interfering with her "peaceful enjoyment" submitting as evidence, stuff like photos of my private garden with what she considers "overgrown shrubs" within it. ie, her stalker husband climbs onto ladders so as to look over the fence & into my bedroom window & while there takes photos of everything behind the 8 foot fence (that I got because of his stalking) & then claims that what is only visible via doing that is somehow interfering with her quality of life & f'ed up landlord appeases her, cause of how effective she is at complaining about them if they ignore her. She's VERY good at playing the victimised minority card. Return to sender spell is sounding really good to me & I have easy access to their mailbox, I was thinking of maybe putting the ashes near their garden, but the mailbox just sounds perfect for a letter based spell. For some reason though, that didn't even occur to me until reading your comment. It also occurred to me on thinking about it after replying to you, that if they find ashes in their mailbox, they could even think someone has set a fire in their mailbox & burnt their mail. They already make frequent complaints, claiming I & others are "tampering with their mail". No-one is, she just likes making complaints for attention. It would also be obvious the ashes weren't from burnt mail in the box, but because of her carry on, I could imagine her taking it that direction (and in doing so, making it even more clear to authorities that she's nuts & should be ignored). Honestly, I just wish she would just go away or get over her obsession with me & just leave me alone! Anything that achieves that, I'm happy with! I don't want to escalate or cause dramas, I just want her ridiculous complaints & his stalking to stop so I can live my life in peace! Tenfold back at her might keep her occupied enough to leave me alone though, cause she's made it clear she won't leave me alone unless forced & their behaviour is always just below the level where police etc can actually act, especially due to the minority victim playing crap, police have straight out said that to me with teh worst of it, that they could press charges, but in reality, a jury is going to refuse to convict cause of how she will respond & get their pity (it's disability related, so makes a good sob story with her sitting there in her wheelchair crying about police brutalisation). They're just all round a nightmare! Banishing spell on the landlord has worked at least temporarily though, their complaints & actions against me over her nonsense stopped as soon as I did it. Not sure how long it will last, but got at least a couple of weeks of peace :) Fingers crossed that continues. To be clear btw, I'm not doing anything wrong & have all the other neighbours supporting me & saying I'm a good person & quiet neighbour who causes no issues. I just tried to be friends with this nutter when I first moved in & that apparently causes her to develop obsessions with whoever does it. I'm not the first, just one in a series for her

Is it possible to do a banishing or cord cutting candle ritual to help someone who has an addiction? Without it causing harm? Like instead of doing a cord cutting between two people, it’d be the person and what they are addicted too or even past trauma?
Yes, and with bad habits, but you can't really do it with trauma, because that would be like doing it with memories, which you have to heal instead, because they are part of your brain. :/
Funny you said can you separate the person from their addiction via the cord cutting method as I was thinking suggesting that to you even before I read that specific line. Never really thought of using magic as a form of preventative and/or cure to wrestling with addictions but it could work... 🤔 As for the whole trauma part I would say maybe that's not so easily forgotten nor should be but often the real traumatizing agent of trauma is simply wrongly placed focus so if you could help redirect and strengthen their focus to something worthwhile their trauma can remain present but as a non-active trauma. 🤷♂️🙂
U can always use the Giant tea bag in the bath water an just plan to be there for a Lil minute 💜😂 But I have Ur book and the return to sender let's say WORK'S WELL💯💯💜💜 BUT if we can PETTY it up a bit, let's do 🪄🧹✨ I prefer a 7 day candle 🕯️ even tho I don't always have those!! But NOT BAD priced at Target an especially the Saint's one's. I usually take the guts of the spell and add MY personal touches to it 💜 I WISH we all had a way of having a meeting where we can openly discuss!! Ive done a freezer spell and had 100% belief it would work as it is quite justified - i am innocent totally so did the freezer spell and sadly it changed nothing even after a few months.I did another - still no change.I did a banishing spell over a candle and blew the ashes away far from my home - still no change.All this disappointment is worse than the problem that i have trying to banish 2 nuisances ! What does work ?
Please can you (or anyone) explain how to banish illness-or banish negativity so health can come through? I want to banish the frequency of pain, illness, suffering etc. Would it be the same for things like illness and your example of 'being broke' as I have a lot more of that I want to banish vs actual people

Hi Chaotic witch aunt. I am needing a banishing for an individual that needs the "freezer"😝. Someone that is abusive and the law can only do so much. (To keep the story short) and I just need them to go away. I believe in spells and have a witches soul and I just havent seemed to be able to banish them with a few spells I've tried. I would assume so! It comes from the same plant, only the processing is different. Oolong is wilted in the sun, so maybe that can add a unique quality too.
since a lot of things that happened to me in 2022, my anxiety has never been worse. can babishing help ease or get ride of that? nothing, even medication thus far has worked? as far as banishing feeling does this count. obviously still want to feel anxious as needed but this is out of control. anyone know if it would work?
