I won't lie. When Romantic Flight came up, I started to cry. How to Train Your Dragon means so much to me and to hear it played so soulfully here just moved me. You've done such a gorgeous arrangement here. What really gets me, though, is that you can tell how much you're loving every note. That's how you know a true musician. Thank you; this is incredibly beautiful.
When I walked into the movie theatre in 2010 I felt like I came out a different person after. The HTTYD franchise has meant so much to me over the years. I love it so much ❤
I felt inspired to play classical guitar again after watching “This is Berk.” I’m 28 years old and haven’t played in about 10 years. But I’ve picked it back up and bought your tabs. It’s slow going, but I’m learning. Now I need to learn Romantic Flight lol.
Bout the same for me except I'm 20 and hadn't played for 2 years only until recently.. I knew for a fact however, from the second I heard this rendition of Romantic Flight that I was going to pick it back up. Honestly, some of the chords (especially those pesky barre chords) and techniques are making it reeeeally tough for me but I'm determined to not give up, it's just that beautiful. The way BTG plays it makes it look waay to easy lol. That's how you know you're listening to a pro, they make it look easy
My gosh. The power of soundtracks. Just mind blowing honestly, to no end, how much songs can be healing even when we are under the impression we are unhealable. Thank you
Couldn’t have chosen three more perfect in sink with each other, and those transitions make it all the more worth wile to listen to. Thank you for this

Man I almost cried, those themes songs are my favourite since I was a child, and so are shrek, kung fu panda and how to train your dragon my favourite cartoons. Thank you
The composer of all three of these themes has made some of the most integral contributions to all of the early dreamworks films. They truly would not be different without his contribution. Thank you John Powell for my childhood love of soundtracks. You truly are one of the greatest film composers. And they lend themselves to the guitar so well too
Y'all I figured out how I'm gonna make my fiance cry at the wedding like a baby. He's a massive httyd fan. As in he cried like a baby with the last movie..... I think I'll find a short version of the "romantic flight" and walk down the aisle to that. Ooooooh man.
you know this hit me in the feelings shrek kung fu panda how to train your dragon this just made me cry the memories the movies i grew up on just beautiful
I'm not sure if I can listen to this without getting chills at some point, or feeling like I might cry because it's so beautiful. Absolutely. Freaking. Amazing.
Well if we were talking about it 8 years ago, yes. But now it has gained tons of recognition, and is one of the best franchises out there (STILL SALTY HTTYD 2 LOST THE OSAR AWARD IN 2014)
I’m a fairly emotional person when it comes to movies. Lemme just say, I absolutely SOBBED for the last five minutes of The Hidden World. Absolutely lost it. HTTYD is more than likely my favorite movie franchise to date. At the very least in my top three. It hits me so deep every time. ❤️🎵
One of the things I love about classical guitar the most is that at its core, it really more of a storyteller type of music, rather then a well wraught feeling to grandiose artpiece. Wether I listen to grand symphony, hard rock, electro, rave or even barouque/classical/romantic era not are as down to earth as this form. At the end of a day, there is a great feeling to sitting at the base of a tree and playing classical guitar at the setting sun horizon. Humility as a work of pure art. Telling a story that everyone can relate to.
OK, can we appreciate the fact that the background clips playing on his monitor switch in perfect synch with him playing. On top of the smooth transition between songs. Not only are you a great player, you got someone or yourself, idk, who has amazing videography skills.
You’ve captured every theme so perfectly and nostalgically?? If that even makes sense! (Fairytale gave me goosebumps!) Please consider making this a series 😭
@@PredatorH2O The Forbidden Friendship scene in the movie is one of the best scenes in animated cinema history. So much character development without any dialogue. Just heavenly music.
All the feels, Nathan! So beautiful how you draw the emotion right out of those themes. Thanks for always bringing excellence for us. Glad to be one of your Patreon patrons!!
Feels because the music totally captures not only the emotions and feel of the movie and that moment, but it’s also getting the CULTURE of the movie’s setting. Chills because it went from fantasy/medieval, to East Asian style, to Nordic influenced; all of my favorite places for music, my goodness.
as a classical guitarist, I've always been trying to play these songs and it makes me feel so moved and inspired the way you play. everytime you play a note I can see what it really is to be a musician. you look so proud with every string you pluck. it makes me cry when a guitarist would pop up rather than a pianist (not hating on them). thank you so much for moving us all with your inspiring talent to others. never stop! having a good cry while listening to an amazing arrangement makes not only me, but others feel good. cheers!
Such a heaviness in my heart, I cannot tell the weight of beauty and sadness apart any longer. The height of the pouring sky and the depths of the sinking ocean both blue.
I love all this music. John Powell is a great composer! Thanks for the video, I love it 💕 httyd music is My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MOVIE MUSIC ever!!! Kung fu panda is on the top 10 list too!
The how to train your dragon one really hits me, when i was still a kid i would watch the part 1 several times never getting tired of it. And I'm pretty sad that it ended now...
This sort of talent deserves more recognition, and when videos like this get lost in the RU-vid algorithm that recommends videos that I couldn’t care less about, every once in a while I get recommended videos like this and it’s wonderful. Keep up the good work man👊👊👊👊
