Hi Scott... I’m an airline pilot and although I’d flown in and out of SJD quite a few times over the last twenty years, I never had the chance to stay. I’ve been to just about every other vacation destination in Mexico and the Caribbean, but never Cabo. Last week, I finally had the chance to layover for the night. Our airline uses a gorgeous hotel in San Jose Del Cabo area. The twenty four hours I spent there really piqued my interest! Thanks for the great video. I hope to book at an all inclusive and return there with my wife to do a little more exploring.
Hi, we just visited RIU california 2 weeks ago, I do agree it's a beautiful resort, amazing location on the beach and great food. Our only complaint is it's very loud, loud music most of the day. We stayed at the riu Palace a few yrs ago when they were building the California , which is more for families and very nice, Santa fe total party zone so we thought the California would have been more zen. If your looking for more zen I personally I wouldn't recommend it. If you want the front rows seats facing the ocean you need to reserve your seats at 5:30am (so early), by 6am they are gone, also the lounge chairs are very uncomfortable, again thinking since it was the adult only they would have been a little nicer than the other 2 RIU's.......the resort is beautiful though and we had the ocean front rooms, amazing. We just prefer a little more zen. Maybe time to save a little more $ and try Le Blanc :)
Love you Vlog. I am thinking of going this April with friends. We are in our 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s which hotel from your list or any new resorts would you suggest for us this 2024 year.
Hi. I really enjoyed your videos. Very informative. Planning on visiting Cabo soon. What’s the best place to stay at that’s walking distance to downtown?
Hi Monica thanks for watching! The closest resort is the Breathless Cabo San Lucas. It's right at the marina and you can walk every pretty much in town from there. The other resorts you would need to cab.
I stayed at the Riu Sante Fe which is right next to the Palace and I was fortunate enough to have A friend at the palace so I could play on the basketball court
Hi! I’m planning a trip for my parents next month and I’m looking at Le Blanc but the price is a little high. What would be a comparable resort but around $400 a night? I want luxury but not a party vibe since it’s for my parents
The RIU Palace Baja California which is featured in this video is adults-only but the RIU Santa Fe which is right next door is family friendly! Thanks for watching!
The RIU Palace is better than the Baja California ! As long as you visit while schools are in session it’s pretty much Adult Only. The RIU Palace has much more personality and has been renovated so it’s newish. Haha
Thanks for watching! You can't go wrong with either Riu Palace in Cabo San Lucas. I do recommend the Baja over the original Palace if you want to be quaranteed a resort with adults only.
Hi thanks for your comment! The beach is not swimable at this Riu. You can however walk a little down the beach to a swimable area. You should check out this video of mine on the swimable beaches in Cabo - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4U3MBJQMsHY.html
What is more fun between Breathless & Riu Baja? Food? & bigger rooms? Breathless location seems more ideal but some reviews give me the feel it’s overrated
Hi Pete thank you for your comment! The location of the Breathless can't be beat but it is a busier area and some people like bigger resorts like the Baja to stay at. If you plan on doing activities outside of the resort the Breathless is a perfect choice since it is right at the marina. If you are looking for a resort to just lounge around at the Riu Palace Baja California might be a better choice. Thanks for watching!
I am going to Cabo Palace Beach by myself Lord's will I want to go next year I'll be 60 young. What's the best time to go and what airport as I'm now checking on flights. Thank you enjoyed your tour and informative
I loved reading your comment "Lord's will." I grew up with using that expression. So nice to hear someone else use it. Have a great trip! God bless you.
Hi thanks for watching! The beach at Leblanc is not swimable. I do have another video on my channel with the best beaches to swim in Cabo. Yes, I've stayed at Pueblo Bonita as well!
Hey Nikki thanks for your question. The 3 properties featured in this video don't have swim up categories at their properties. If you are looking for a swim up you may want to take a look at the Secrets Puerto Los Cabos. It's a great adult only resort that has swim out suites. Thanks for watching!
I am graduating College in June. Would you say that it is still okay to travel to Cabo in the middle of June or should I wait for another time of the year?
Hi Alexander thanks for watching! June in Cabo San Lucas is a great time to visit. It will be nice and hot. If you need help with your vacation booking I would be happy to help. You can find my contact information in the video description. Feel free to send me an email! Thank you!
Hi there! Do you typically book your Cabo vacation yourself? My husband and I tend to use our travel agent for booking when we travel international. I want to take the leap in booking our next vacation to Cabo- we stayed at Pueblo Bonito back in 2020. Cabo is one of those places you end up falling in love with. Out of Curiosity when you booked your stay at Le Blanc did you booked directly on there website? Did you use private transportation?
Great info ! I’m looking into a honeymoon destination that’s all inclusive for my honeymoon next year . We are a young couple mid 20’s and like fun a partying but also a bit of luxury . If you have any suggestions please help me out ! Thanks !
Hi Robert thanks for watching! I have a video tour of the Riu Palace Baja California of the Ocean Front suites. You can find it here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ai-Y7MHXRHE.html If you need help booking your next vacation you can find my contact information in the video description or on my channel page.
The main difference is that the Riu Palace Baja California is adults only and newer. The Riu Palace Cabo along with the Riu Santa Fe next door is all ages. Thanks for watching!
Hey there! Great video! Thanks for sharing this. I am wondering if you can answer a question for me. I am planning our honeymoon and I am very interested in going to Cabo! I am not sure how all-inclusive resorts work though. I saw something about how you have to pay extra for cabanas and other things like spas (but one video mentioned resort credits)... but I do not see anything on Expedia about how to reserve these? Any help appreciated! Thank you!
Hey Grant thanks for watching! I'd recommend reaching out to a travel agent in your area to help with your questions. You won't find what you are looking for on Expedia. Cheers!
The beaches are also more tropical on the Caribbean side in the Mayan Riviera area like in this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_6C7M5m7jVk.html
@@ScottDawson thank you for answering im Actually going next month to celebrate a 30 bday and i am between le blanc or breathless, we are not gonna rent a car we are gonna do excursions, and also be able to enjoy our hotel. We like luxury and night life but also we are really careful with the covid. Breathless sounds good because of location but im not sure if its as luxury as le blanc and i dont want a place that crowded either. Which would you choose? Its a hard decision both seem amazing! Thank you for your time
Hi Alex thank you for your comment! I have stayed at the Marquis back when it was a Secrets and really liked it. It is a much smaller resort though so that may or may not be your preference compared to the Baja California. If you wanted some help with your wedding group planning reach out to me (contact info in video description) the travel agency I work with has wedding group specialists and I would be happy to put you in touch with one to help plan your occasion. Thanks for watching!
Riu hasn't a wedding department, I would recommend you any other hotel instead of the Rius, you need specialized assitance for your wedding and they can't provide it. Check Pueblo Bonito Sunset, Dreams Los Cabos, Fiesta Americana. All of them are family friend, budget friendly and great for weddings :)
Hi! What about the alcoholic beverages? I went to a 5 star all inclusive in riviera Maya for my wedding and it was stunning, beautiful, amazing but I wasn’t impressed with the drinks. Very watered down. Even the glasses made them not very good.
Hi Taylor thanks for watching! Here's a video of mine about drinks you might find helpful - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gCDzuzss4lk.html
Hi Alex thanks for your question! In general Cabo San Lucas is gay friendly. I have travelled to many resorts in Cabo with my partner and have never had an issues. From this video the one I would suggest is Breathless. It's a great location and being right in the marina it's close to the nightlife off the resort as well as on a swimmable beach.
Scott Dawson Travels thank you For your suggestion. I’ll look into it. Looking into a good price per night and close to beach and downtown. The RU-vid video helps a lot . Thank you for posting
