Yup!!!! I use it as a boost best pedal ever. Better than any boost option on any pedal/amp. It makes everything sound fuller. I use it to go from distortion to heavier distortion & it’s so great

TS increases upper mids but it sucks lower mids. So, your "core tone" definitely does NOT stay intact. It is a mediocre distortion pedal based on 80's technology. I only use it for one very specific strat tone which is a kind of SRV/John Meyer sound. For anything else I recommend different pedals.

Why is he always wrong in parts.. no1 the Tube screamer will never keep your core tone intact there is a mid hum even with the gain down and the volume up so will always suck out the bass and boost the mids.. if you want to keep you tone the same for a boost guess what get a boost.

I'm new to pedals, and just bought the Metalcore. If I plug it in the back, I lose control over my lo, mid & treble on clean tones, what pedal do I need to control this?

I use one tube screamer with very little inpute for my base setting, then a second for a bit more grit when needed. I found this to be my favorite setup.
