Toes, hands, and arch back are basic, however, great reminder to keep them top of mind. Simple poses that can easily be done at home if no studio available would be great. High key and low key bodyscapes?
These are basically the fundamentals of boudoir posing, you can use them in every single pose. Simple poses at home, I like it, I'll work something up!
The clients should come with their nails done. Preferably in a neutral tone... no bright, crazy colors or so busy that would take your eye to them. Also, wash their feet before coming, and have some wipes on hand to clean the bottom of the feet if they get dirty walking around during the shoot. :-)
@@MichaelSasser No joke, so am I! Lots of information and I have a notebook full of notes and nuggets from your videos. Thanks for posting these and giving examples. It really helps, especially if you're new at this and don't know where to start.
I just wanted to take a minute to appreciate the amount of information contained in this short video compared to a lot of regular workshops. You seem to have covered the basics, allowing us to build on top of that. You looked very confident while doing so, and made the model feel very comfortable. This is the kind of teaching I respect regarding photography in general, but specially in boudoir. I feel very eager to apply the tips in my next shoot, only hoping to come close to this level. Thanks a lot for sharing this precious knowledge with us, Sasser.
That wasn’t just 3 tips. That was a masterclass. Soo much guidance in such a short time. I’ve just bought your new posing course - if it’s anything like this then it will be the best money I’ve spent on photography in a long time.
Got a shoot today first boudoir session and sir Michael you are the man big ups yourself I’ve learned a lot just watching your videos much appreciated 💪💪💪
Got my first Boudoir session in 2 days and have almost no idea what i'm doing so I really appreciate the help man, you got yourself a new subscriber. And sony for the win!
Fascinating and informative, thank you. My main problem with shooting people is making them pose and that means giving them meaningful instructions about it :-)
As a landscape and wildlife enthusiast who just recently discovered boudoir as a great addition I really enjoyed the video! Very nice to have a dedicated channel (as much ad I love landscaping, RU-vid is quite full of it) Let's see what comes next!
I'm mainly a street and automotive photographer, but have done a couple of boudoir shoots. I wish i knew these tips then! Makes me want to shoot more now that i have half a clue about what i should be doing
The hand part was most helpful and the hair thing was so little but so powerful I tried selfies where my hand is in hair and don't look natural at all but this changed even selfie game :D
could you do a video on a fuller figure lady most of my ladies are plus size beautiful curvy ladies I also think I'm going to practice these moves myself so I can show them :) yes such simple poses again thanks :)

I have my first Boudoir photo shoot this week. Feeling pretty confident, but also reserved at the same time. It's also her first Boudoir photo shoot too. I'm going with natural light, and some off camera flash.
I absolutely love this guy. I’m going to be shooting lingerie photos for my online store in a couple months and I am sooooo nervous . I am NOT a model so these tips are so needed. Thank you !!!
Love your work and your layback energy during shoots. I have two boudoir shoots planned myself and learned a lot from your vids. I am still a beginner, so don’t know if this will be my niche. I can tell Anna likes your work too😊 Keep up the good work👍🏽
Nice Michael, I need this one. I have my first Boudoir/Hotel shoot coming up in April. So this video reinforced some of the skills that I already have. My client would like to take some shots by the indoor pool, like you I enjoy natural light and I really don't how the lighting is going to be during the time we are shooting. I'm ready to use my flash on or off camera. Thanks again for all your help with your videos.
great Video...that was/is my biggest Problem by working with not profesional models...I just don't know how to pose them and give them direction...but know I have something to work with. thanks
Awesome video Michael !! Prosing is my big mistake and my fear to going in boidoir but..but your video help a lot !! Thanks you so much! Cant wait to watch more video from you !
Hi Michael, Love your videos, keep going and make more of them. I would love to see how you color grade your images. I think your finish is unique 👌🏻. Maybe a short retouch video about 10 min 😍
7:17, yeah, creation of a new super heroine, suggesting to ™ it quickly! - Currently there exists Supergirl (aka Kara Zor-El, Krypton identity, aka Kara Danvers, civil identity) or Wonder Woman (aka Princess Diana of Themyscira, Amazone identity, aka Diana Prince, civil identity), having a side kick Wonder Girl in the 1960-ties or so. So far for the DC Comics. And there is new also a Captain Marvel (aka Vers, Kree identity, aka Carol Danvers, civil identity) 😘
I am learning a great deal from you. I am looking into adding boudoir to my arsenal :-). I have not shot in a while due to Covid but I am now getting back into shooting and would love to put ladies through a great experience of boudoir.
You should post a lighting tut for boudoir.. Natural light...easy enough, but would love to see a video on studio lighting indoors (the house can work too)
Excelente dicas... Acho suas fotos excelente elas são graciosas e agressivas mais com muito bom gosto, eu particularmente eu gosto. Eu através de seus videos estou me orientando muito, é que estou começando a fazer bordoir. Mais ainda tenho uma longa jornada!
Couldn't avoid subscribing...Fantastic information in just 8 minutes.. Thanks for the video.. Like..subscribe.. yes I have done it.. Thanks once again. I'm from Bangalore,India.
Definitely late here..but love your work. Wondering if you had a video talking about posing 2 models @ the same time as I have a shoot coming up w/ two models. If not would love to see. Thanks for the video :)
Omg thank you so much for making this! I'm a new photographer trying to break into the boudoir market here in Vancouver and I've been search information high and low for info like this. Could you please make more videos that go into this side of boudoir? How to interact with and prompt your subject, how to help them feel comfortable. How to begin and end a shoot, how to flow from one pose to the next or from one area to the next, like from a few bed poses, then to the couch or the floor. All of this is stuff I'd love to hear more about. Thanks! Great video 🙏👏
Hey Vivi! Thank you for the kind words! There is definitely so much to learn in this genre, and I plan on making more youtube videos as I go. If you want to learn all of this right now it sounds like you might be interested in my online boudoir course. It covers everything you mentioned here. www.sasserstillsboudoir.com/photographycourse Check it out and let me know what you think!
