These are 3 tips to make breeding easier for after the release of the sakurajima patch.

I've watched at least 10 different videos and they all seem to either go too fast, or assume you already know most of the breeding process. With your EXCELLENT approach and showing the stats of your parents as you discuss the process I learned more in 6 minutes than all the other videos combined. Outstanding job sir!

Ive had the opposite. Never had a blank hatch until the update. Now Im stuck working on transferring IVs. I have a Seylene with perfect passives but garbage IVs and one with perfect IVs and garbage passives. Can't seem to get them to combine. It's made even harder by the scarcity of males with this species.

@drax99 omg! That's wild! I wonder what's going on with the hatch rates. I was in the same situation when I bred my bellanoir libero, I went a little loopy waiting for a male to hatch with the right passives and ivs. One thing you could do is ignore ivs and buy power fruit to max em out once you have the passives sorted out. After experiencing that crappy male hatch rate I have vowed not to breed another pal like that any time soon. Thanks for letting me know your experience with hatching blanks.

@@kennyb7403in my many many weeks of breeding, I have found certain parents are just bad breeders and it's better to catch new ones then try to breed with them. It's happened a few times they just kept spamming one trait on everything. And future offspring repeated that trait more often too. I have found dragon killer the trait to avoid breeding with. But that could just be my game as you have said.

lol you dont have to go balls to the wall when you decide what path you take in breeding, you can take a casual approach or you can breed armies. I like the majority of the community have been taking breaks and when new content comes out the majority of that 90% comes back and enjoys all the hours they see fit then go back to other games. Im sure it will be the same every content drop as well as the fact that the game hasnt even launched with the biggest part of the game the zone where the huge tree is and the town they are putting there. Just have fun and mess around like you would in minecraft and then hit cod or whatever your main game is, its not that serious. Have fun out there

I have a perfect breeding pair of Frostallions. Both have serenity, musclehead, legend, and Ice Emporer. If I boost the IV of those parents will those stats always come out on the babies?

What is the best way to get a blank pal if that pal usually has a special passive? Like Orserks for example. Usually they have Lord of Lightning as a passive. What is the best way to get a blank for them? I also tried using the random passive to try and breed for a pal with only one passive but I always get ones with unwanted extra passives instead.

This is a little bit of a nuanced situation, it has become harder or almost impossible for some to hatch blanks after the launch of Sakurajima Island. Others don't seem to have any issues and my breeding methods to breed down still work. You can find those in my breeding videos. For me Im not able to breed them down like that anymore so I will go out and catch a blank now but that may take too long if at all possible with ozerk. The other way is if you find a combo that cross breeds into orzerk, from there you can go out and catch both parents that are blanks or if your lucky have them in your palbox already and then eventually you will hatch one without it. The other method that works for me but would be redundant for you is that pairing two blanks still hatch blanks for me but then you would already have a blank orzerk so not really helpful but in case you are trying to make multiple for breeding an army or a bunch of power pals. I hope that helps

The first "change" is the way its always been for me, Only 2 blanks can produce another blank. I play on PC.

Exactly what I have found before and after the update....also found its easier to get 2 blanks to produce a baby blank than getting perfect passives via 3+1, 2+2, 4+0 OR 4+4 (duplicate traits)....

I'm currently working on my Orserks for Ryu Ultra.... Perfect Jormuntide + Knocklem = Relaxaurus + Blank Grizbolt = Orserk. The pal I think would be interesting to max... Blazamut Ryu. It looks like he is designed to smash Libero Ultra into purple paste. Breeding tip. (I'm not sure if you have covered something like this previously). Since the new skills are so powerful (yet rare), breeding them onto your perfect pals is nice. Here is a technique that I have found to maximize skill transfer. Have no production in your breeding base. You do not want your breeding pairs to level up. Give both your new perfect parents (level1) the skill you want their children to inherit. (they will each now have 2 or 3 skills). Once you get a perfect baby that inherited the skill, swap it in as a parent, as he only has 2 skills now. Getting Curtain / Wall Splash on all/ most of your Jormunties this way would be HUGE. Quick Question... I am about to read the redit article. If duplicate passives are ignored... Would 3 + 3 (as long as the skills overlap) be better or the same as 3+1? I've bred a bunch of armies, but I always stuck with 1+1=2 2+2=4 4+4=4 If 3+3 is as good as 2+2, life just got easier in the beginning :) For that matter... you don't really even need a blank anymore if 4+1 = 4+0 Thanks for the well thought out video. Good info. Cheers. PS: In this patch, I have bred 2 blanks to get a blank. (Yakumo and Grizbolt).

Yes I did know about it and briefly mention it in my advanced breeding guide when talking about dark whisp if I remember correctly. I think with you bringing this to my attention and how it could help when breeding armies in particular, I should make a video talking about this amazing piece of advice. lol I forgot to answer your question...yes exactly so like if you have a 3-3 but on each one there is a duplicate then its the same as 2-2. ie artisan lucky workslave paired with serious lucky artisan. I've started to play with combos like this in the early part of breeding and its helped me force myself to the next step in breeding. :)

@@supr3m3sworld Glad to help out. One other Breeding tip that is possible since the update. Normally you will have your 20 perfect pals LONG before they are fully compressed. While breeding, save a few philanthropist and nocturnal... If both parents have both passives, you can increase the egg rate by 8x. Both passives reduce the time per egg from 6 minutes down to around 1:45 each. Nocturnal allows them to produce at night. Also handy on your Anubis Soul farm.

I want to ask what did you do to the left over pals hatched. You butcher them, or sell them? Or you have other way to use them?

@snails6997 I will use them first to rank pals by condensing them. From there I butcher them with the disassembly line regardless of the pal cuz it doesn't seem worth it to sell pals as they don't sell for very much. I think the materials you get from butchering them after is more valuable. I usually just keep the breeding parents and condense the rest to keep space open in my palbox. :) great question thanks for watching

I bred a perfect Sylene and Xenogard in about 8 hours. Both are alphas and had IVs in the 80-90 range but I have over 300 power fruits from farming Bellanoir Libero to get a male which I still haven’t got yet. That 5% chance is more like 1%

I'm still not 100% clear on the IV's. If you have a breeding pair that both have 100's on their IV's, do they pass those stats on to their offspring?

Yes thats correct, keep in mind that even with parents with perfect IVs and passives it will still take a good amount of eggs to hatch before you get your perfect. Also dont be afraid to wait for that perfect thats an alpha too. Dont let semi perfects like ones with all 4 passives and like 100 in hp 100 attack and 60 def bait you into settling. It will be just a matter of time before the perfect alpha hatches. In my experience it should be between 40-100 eggs before it hatches.

if duplicate passives neither help nor harm trait inheritance, does that mean there's no problem with breeding 4-4s together?

@MirroredDreamscape yes exactly or if you have like 3 on one and 2 on the other one with that extra passive being a duplicate. Keep an eye of the ones that hatch from that combo as you might hatch a 3-1 2-2 couple. Set them in other breeding pen that way you have multiple eggs laying that way you get your perfect faster

Another guide mentioned it as "the game checks which passives are present" among the parents, not as a punnett square that would double the likelihood if it's on both. I need to rework a lot of my stash of parents because of this find. I have so many that are 3-4 traits that are mostly bad

Yeah they do, Check out this reddit article where it goes over how passives and Ivs are passed down. www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1am7y16/definitive_datamined_guide_to_breeding_for_both/?sort=new If youre after one perfect then I would breed a 4 passive then use power fruit to top the ivs off, if you need more than one perfect then I would use fruits on the parents.

while this works as a single player server, it's even harder for people who are on a co-op server, where the customs are on normal. While I am mostly on my nephew's server playing to level up on my own, I can't change the settings to what is needed to do this, only he can. Though I do have my own single player server and I have modified the settings a bit to my liking, it's still hard to get the passive skills you want and breed out. it's alot of grinding... which at times is very peaceful to me. Though, nice tips, don't get me wrong, every tip is a good tip when the game updates in such a way it possesses new ways of getting a really cool pal. For instance, before the update I had a level 50 Anibus with Musclehead, Ferocious, Burly Body and Earth Emperor. He's still that good against most high level pals. I know there's better pals for those passive skills, but at that time I wanted a really good ground type pal. Today, he's level 55 and can almost single-handedly take on the Sakurajima tower boss... I say almost because if I wasn't there with my epic gatlin gun, he'd be dead when she reached half health and me not switching to my frostallion noct or jetragon so he could heal. Anyway, awesome awesome! and Dude, that's a lot of incubators! wow!

@slowbro698u2 yes definitely, for example if you hatch one with ferocious muscle head gluttonous serenity, pair it with a blank if you got one or one that has just musclehead or ferocious, in a pinch you can use a pal with any 1 passive. From there you can wait til the perfect one hatches or save up all the singles you can to pair up. I hope that makes sense

It's personal preference, the 30% cd reduction is huge for sure. I decided to go for flat damage and for an easier breed since I cross bred. I wouldn't be upset with serenity instead, :)

Serenity > Musclehead > Legend > 30% element (if STAB) > Impatient = 20% element (if STAB) = Ferocious. Impatient scales better on long CD skills, Element gets 1.2 if STAB, Ferocious only if your using short (Edit spelling) CT off element attacks even then its probably not worth including anymore.

So I’ve been breeding the life out of Yakumo, I’ve caught blanks and managed to breed blanks from those I’ve caught. Not noticing an issue there for me, I don’t use a dedicated server. Hope that helps shed some light on the issue

Some pal species have intentional horrible male hatch rates bella for example. Also i have not hatched a single blank either through sakurajima but capturing blanks seems to have increased!

Why do you need to use power fruits on the parents rather than the child? Also where is all of this information coming from, it seems like there is no central hub for this indepth information

The reason being is that it reduces or eliminates the need to use power fruit on the perfect one you hatch when you are trying to hatch multiple perfect pals. If you are only trying to hatch one perfect and then be done with it then the best option would be to breed the pal to have all the passives you want then use power fruit to max it to save you the most time. When both parents are maxed out you have the option to wait until you get one to hatch thats 100 in all stats with the passives you want which is kind of exciting when hatching eggs or you could settle for when you get one with very high stats in all 3 plus perfect passives cuz then its just a couple fruits and your done. I figured most of this out through hundred of hours at this point. Before I started the channel I would think up experiments then test em out. now when I can I try to stream my experiments so you can see where the data comes from for most of my videos. Then I spent a lot of time watching videos to see what other creators are saying and then tried suggestions and gathered my conclusions, after that a bunch of reddit posts and youtube comments i guess. oh and then there is palworld.gg. Both parents non alpha is the most consistent at 1 per 20 eggs hatched.

@DMTuefel yeah I've heard a bunch of people saying the same and others saying they still can. Not sure how that's a thing. Some people are saying they can breed blanks only when both parents are blanks. That would only help if you have 2 already and want more to set up more pens . If you don't have one then catching them wild seems to be the only option for us.

@benjisbodybuilding yeah it does :) not every egg you hatch will come with 100 in all 3 ivs but eventually you will hatch one with the passives you want and the ivs at 100

@rejjie_thedeity every pal has hp attack and def stats that are hidden. In this game people call em IVs or internal values. You can craft ability glasses or download a mod that will let you see those ivs. When breeding the strongest pals you want to make sure you breed them with the highest stats, ideally 100 in all 3

Oh yeah! especially if youre just looking for one perfect. If youre looking to breed an army use the fruits on the parents so that the offspring come out with perfect ivs.

@@supr3m3sworld ahh thank you! Also, I couldn't get a pal with all 4 good passives. However I was able to get one with 3/4. Will I actually feel the loss of 20% attack from ferocious or is 20% alone not that noticeable if you have everything else?

@@vyx6005 For your mid game pals, you can get away without it. For Raids... that 20% is huge. For every 5 pals on the field, you get a "Free" pal worth of damage. On a 20 pal base raid, that is effectively 4 additional pals worth of damage you are missing out on. If you are building for raids, you will need to do a LOT of breeding... over 2000 cakes to get 20 pals fully compressed, or over 1000 cakes to get them all to 3 star. In that time, using selective breeding, you will get your perfect passives.

If the max IVs on a pal is 100/100/100 - once this is achieved is there any point in going for alphas?

@roughtakes7271 oh yeah! Alphas get a boost to those stats for being an alpha that extra little bit will make a different in pvp or for like ultra raids. So like 100 100 100 on an alpha will be higher than the 100 100 100 on the non alpha. The best part is that once you get your perfect parents you just have to be patient to have one hatch that completely perfect or chose like one that's got all 4 passives and like 100 100 78 then just use fruits to top it off if you want to get right to it. With my Bellanoir libero I just waited and waited and finally I got one to hatch lol worth the wait in my opinion

Wild! That's how it was for me too before the update. LOL I wonder if this game has seeds like in minecraft which affects everything? They have never mentioned it but im hearing from lots of people they can still hatch blanks in one form or another. Thank you so much for letting me know :)

so basically. use common sense. you said maxing your pals out with elixers, now. if you do that will your pals get stronger and stronger in each generation of new pal that you breed, eventually creating cracked and broken super pals? or is it only worth doing once?

Thats a great question, no unfortunately they don't increase each generation because all pals have max stats they could spawn with. The only way to get those base numbers increased is by then hatching an alpha version of the pal. The reason I make sure that both parents have perfect ivs is so that when the I start hatching eggs I have the best chance at hatching an egg with all the passives I want plus all 3 stats at 100. If youre trying to make multiple perfects then I would use elixers on the parents and wait for the perfect to hatch but if you only need one perfect then I would use them on the baby.
