I really like how they are marketing this as a good thing. Like 2 trainees with one trainer are going to get the same quality training as one trainee would. CRE does it again!
Yep, that's the C.R. England I remember. Treating trainees like dirt and meat GPS systems. Though, when I trained with them, they had just made a rule that trainees couldn't sleep in the top bunk while the vehicle was in motion. So, I guess it's nice and cramped during any drive shift, but trainer makes bank because the truck only has to stop for load, reload, fuel, maintenance, and pre-trips.
Yeah, they sure do crush it. Crush each others nuts everytime they turn around! You have to be desperate or totally clueless to train this way! DOT needs to step in and regulate this. Driving a truck is a very serious job that needs to be taught 1 on 1!
I thought it was going to be a joke but these fools really are going to cram 3 guys in a truck. So sad what these bottom feeding companies are doing these days.
How the hell is 1 trainer teaching 2 students how to operate a semi? You the (trainer) would need to be awake 24/7 when the students are driving... If you the trainer are asleep while a student is driving then 1 ur not teaching and 2nd ur putting lives at risk...
When I started you operated under a solo schedule for a week or two then spent the rest of the time operating on a team schedule with the trainer. Driving a truck isn't difficult. Once the trainer feels you aren't a danger in the road, their job is more about teaching you how to manage your time, fine tuning your backing, route planning, etc. Those things don't require the trainer to be awake all the time on cross country trips.
@@joshuamoore6128 I completely disagree. I trained for my company and our policy was that if we were caught sleeping while the trainee was driving we were terminated. Just about every moment on the road can be a teachable moment and if something comes up that a student isn't prepared for you're doing them no good at all asleep in the back. If it's an emergency situation the student isn't ready to handle it could easily cost you your life. Sleeping while a trainee drives is dangerous, irresponsible, and just plain bad instruction.
Great, let's teach 2 people at a time how to clog up the interstate by squatting in the left lane, or taking 7 miles to pass another truck, or both. It's so much more efficient than teaching one squid at a time. 🙄
Say no to cheap driving jobs. What was once a great company... a loooooooooong time ago... is now somewhere you have to live in a truck with two other dudes, risking your life to their unskilled hands to make a mediocre check. CRE is only fast and proficient in a race to the bottom.
Unbelievable this what ppl sign up for? When I called them the second he told me bring money becuz we go 3 wks unpaid! I was 🤔what? Then I said umh NO! but they do it bcuz ppl put up with it!
I have to keep watching this for a laugh...awe another trainee...flips open bed bunk...awe another trainee...opens cabinet...awe another trainee!!! How many trainees can we fit in a truck!!???
I believe it’s illegal to sleep on the top bunk anytime the vehicle is moving. You hit a low bridge, which can happen, And they’re extremely injured if not dead.
@@OtawoOnlineGaming years ago they, crst , Swift all the others were respected companies.then they found out that you could "train" drivers and pay cheap, that with other factors are what is bringing down a good profession of this business
brian collins I’m glad I didn’t pick them as my first truck job. I’m too antisocial for team driving, and having 3 dudes in a truck is a recipe for stank @$$ drivers
So glad I didn't go there, lol. My trainer is a +20 year owner operator. Plus I get a higher pay rate. Not sure why folks would even choose CR England if they knew the other choices out there.
Wow. Most truck companies strongly discouraged or flat out forbid someone sleeping in the top bunk while the truck was moving when I was driving teams. Do they just operate on a solo schedule with each student getting half a shift?
CR England... Is it a trucking company or a cult of some sort? To think we used to openly mock the clueless new immigrants who occasionally ran three to a truck. What next? Cut a hole in the floor to use as a toilet?
@@101southsideboy yessir it is don't ever ride up there or allow anyone to ride up there it's super dangerous it's easier to make that bed up every day
@@101southsideboy It would be unsafe if it were open to the vector of breaking, but when they hit the brakes with somebody in the front bunk they're just thrown against the roof. It's pretty shitty, but it's more safe than the other top bunk.
And England allows driver that have been behind the wheel for just a few months be trainers! And now their training over the road with guys that do NOT have a CDL! WTF! So glad I’m not over the road anymore! Every New Guy Last About Ninety Days
I saw 2 students/graduates at the end (the pictures... I assume they were your students). How many have you trained in the 3 bunk truck... how many stuck it out, (3 adults) in 40 sq ft for months? How long have you been driving? Exactly when does the trainer sleep? And when the trainer sleeps, who's training the trainee? Honest questions. I'm new.
If you are looking to become a driver, and want to be trained RIGHT...Call Averitt Express! They pay you while you're training, only 2 people to a truck, and you will see your home. None of this gone for weeks or months at a time. Plenty of opportunities, to move around in the company. Paid holidays, home every weekend, great benefits! They will take you fresh out of truck driving school.
When I started truck driving my first company made sure that the trainer was to be awake at all times whilst the trainee drove and they put us up in hotels every night during my 3 weeks out and once I finished training I was making 1100 net right out of training. Moral of the story is don’t work for these fucking Megas who are modern day slave masters, don’t get fooled you are living worse than prisoners and you make what 23 cents a mile???? Split 3 ways with the other trainee and trainer in the truck? You are living like a glorified slave and not realizing you could be making more working 35 hours at McDonalds
RUN THE NUMBERS ON WHAT A DRIVER MAKES... You will know why there is a driver turnover.. Now they, the trucking industry, is crying that we have no drivers.. All I see is free shipping and zero empty shelves do to "driver shortage"... If you want more drivers up the pay... The companies are thinking 60 to 90k is big money.. It is for 8 hours a day not 24.. For 90k its $1,730.76 per week for a 40 hour week.. NOW HERE IS THE TRUTH.. $1.730.76 for a 168 hour week is a whopping $ 10.30 an hour..
Let me guess, the 2nd student has to pay the same rate another student would pay for being a solo student at another company. I swear, I think CR England exist to bend the curve of expectations so low, that other companies can do bare minimum and get away with it.
Hold up. I got to drive one of these. It's a really smooth, quiet, nice truck. We'll see how they age, but these automatics are pretty good now, not like those original autoshift monstrosities. I'm buying a newer truck this week which is another 10 speed but the one after will almost certainly be an automatic. They're getting to be all the same now and I'm staying with Freightliner because I like the interior layout better than Peterbilt or KW, and Volvos are too hard to get into a shop that will work on them. Just not going to have a 2 or 3 person truck.
@@eiloen The automatic Freightliners are absolute horse shit. Drive an automatic Volvo and you'll notice a better response time when it shifts. With that said, I'll still take a manual over automatic any day. 13 and 18 speed manual transmissions are a lot of fun. Especially when going through steep mountain passes.
mmmpisghetti you know why it’s hard to get Petes and KWs and Volvos into the shop? Because they don’t break down nearly as much as Freightshakers do. Freightliners are the absolute bottom of the barrel. You get what you pay for.
101southsideboy that’s the mega companies for you. They’re training everyone on an automatic which in turn can’t drive a manual because of the restriction placed on their license. They’re killing off the manual transmission
101southsideboy yes sir. Has been for a few years now. Anybody who tests on an automatic has a restriction that’s all they can drive. If they want to drive a manual they have to retest on a manual to get it removed
That's the most dumbest shit EVER! Why would you even sacrifice having another person onboard to train just for the sake of C.R. England to make more money. The only one coming up with the best end of the stick is the company. It's all good until someone get hurt. Sacrificing one each person is ridiculous. How the hell can you possibly train two people in the same truck. I'm a trainer myself, and having one student can be a challenge at times.
That just seems like a bad idea. I came from England 3 years ago and I'm greatful that they helped me get my cdl, and extremely lucky that they guy that trained me had 22 years behind the wheel. But 2 trainees at the same time? Your supposed to stay awake with them to make sure they can drive. How the f are you managing that? And your cramming more people into the same size truck? No extra storage space. Tempers are gonna get bad at some point, then you have inexpirienced drivers with no supervision and a bad attitude (I'm sure the trainer doesn't stay awake 24/7), and more people to get hurt when it wipes out. This is just a dumb idea on the company's part. But like he said in the video its all about the money. When y'all are ready to drive for a company that actually cares about its drivers and that they are well trained and safe, hmu. Just a dumb idea.
From a big company point of view, having a 3 bunk truck to pump out drivers is a good idea. But that's just odd. How is a trainer supposed to train 2 people properly like that? Dosn't the trainer have to sleep? And OMG! Why are they being allowed to train in Automatics. Don't fall for this people. I'm shure there are people that know that if you train in an automatic. You get something put on your nice new CDL at the DMV that says ya still suck. It dosen't really say that, but it should. Well that's if you go to CR Englands school. And they teach you on an automatic. It shouldn't even be allowed for training in my opinion. It just a shitty way of learning.
