I'm a writer too,In my opinion about the 3rd story, a writer is actually a bunch of people living in the same body, they are constantly engaged in wondering about their story, thinking about unwritten or written scenes & dialogues and obsessed with a world that never existed So if he would be a true writer, he mustn't die being depressed rather he must be proud that a part of him will always stay in this world

I personally think 4th story is about passion. In the original story the shoemaker was grateful for elves and made clothes for elves. But in this story n took the help from girl for granted and he was blinded by the fame and money in which he abandoned his passion for writing. as a result he was all alone. When we see n perfect life in vision. Where He completed his book which didn't made him successful and rich but he was loyal to his passion as a result he was happy and surrounded by people. But in reality he was blinded by money and fame. before his death when he was in park on same bench he found the manuscript of his book which he threw in starting of episode. and he was crying looking at it because he abandoned his passion for writing. As a result he died all alone. In original story shoemaker made clothes for elves in return of their help and in this story n was supposed to complete his novel for the little girl for her help. I also dont think that little girl was just a normal human because we see her all alone at night in a park. she also disappeared everytime without any trace and she obviously wasnt n imagination as we saw her after n death.

The 2nd story was so creepy but its really not so different from the original story. Its a reality of today's world also. For 3rd story i just thought that maybe hansel faced some traumatic incident in the past and greetal maybe was his real sister but he lost her in that incident and then starts hallucinating or maybe greetal was not real and just Hansel's imagination but i really feel sorry for him at the end when he know the reality at last. The 4th one is just about passion. The writer in his conscious knew that the stories was not written by him but he doesn't care and take that for granted and doesn't work hard for that . At the end he was so depressed and died at the end. I think the girl he met at the garden was the real elves fairy that writes story for him. In real , this quote stands that God helps those who help themselves. Writer doesn't want to change his condition himself and so he end like this . The 4th story is best out of all because it have very deep meaning and as a writer I can say that writing is not everyone cup of tea One of my music teacher said that a artist take help of illegal things like drugs and alcohol to boost their thinking their creativity and as we can see in film industry About writer is that it was also found that in Japan manga writer are most mentally disturb people of Japan For writing we have to be in our world of creation connect our own feelings with each one of our chrachter dialogue writing and it was very hard for those writers who Write depressing mind twisting loneliness dark novel or manga ,comic So even if it's not alcohol cigarette or any kind of drug but our own mind is enough to kill someone from inside and a writer stay in that emotion for a long period of time till their book ends it is very hard to think about something new every time and write about it and stay in that emotion mental state same as their book cheachters that book world
