3 Cup Koesister recipe.
Ingredients
3 cups of cake flour
10 grams of instant yeast
320 ml lukewarm water
1/3 cup caster sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1&1/2 teaspoons of ground cardamom (or to taste)
2&1/2 tablespoons of fine cinnamon
2&1/2 tablespoons of whole aniseed
1 teaspoon of fine ginger
The zest of 1 naartjie ( optional)
Oil for deep frying.
Syrup
2 cups of water
3 cups of sugar
3 cardomom pods
3 cinnamon sticks
2 naartjie peels ( optional)
Fine desiccated coconut for sprinkling over Koesisters.
