Usually with me there is a clear favourite. However these three were so equally good. They also had such different styles so it was difficult to differentiate
david tended to lean towards the beats, halima towards the vocal pitch and tempo, and sorah towards the vocal rhythms/delivery, but they ALL caught different subtleties in the lyrics, ad libs, etc... a really really balanced and well executed episode for the series ! ! !
My favorite is David! His musicality is awesome. His “”“lazy””” style bring an awesome contrast with the powerful beats and make them even more nice. And plus I love his scenic presence.
After careful consideration, we've declared that Sorah Yang's is now the CEO of the short but deadly dancers society within the dance community. Basically she's too good 😭😭😭👍🏿❤️
@@tracyward4694 Bailey recently stated that she retired that role after NBC World of Dance. She stated and I quote: "I carried y'all on my back for way too long, I'm out lol"
the guy said he's a lazy dancer but his moves are on FIRE.... and so effortlessly. I like the girls' versions too but I love the guy's version. also how come dancers are always such humble people? lol...they always say others are soo incredible but they are incredible themselves!!!
I don't think I have ever seen anyone who dances like David to hard hitting songs. That was a wild shock to how I would have interpreted that. Awesome!
To me, Halima and Sorah dance similarly but Halima’s dancing style looks like a mix of David’s and Sorah’s. But I’m sure we all can agree they danced 💯!
I deeply love that david’s reaction to sorah was just him nodding going “yup...oh....okay....yup” like he couldn’t not agree with it? like he was just nodding going “of course” and it was so great 😂
David was by far my favorite. His moves were smooth and seemed to flow so well with the song. Powerful presence but never overpowering. Music and movement worked in unison.
this is def one of the best ones... showcasing the variety gave each dancer space to be themselves. they all killed it equally. i do wanna shout out halima.. like the way she transmits flow through her body is WILD. the "hands all over these chips" count is completely mesmerizing.
So dancer definitely have opposite mental with athletes, athletes like "im the best of the best!" Dancer like "you're the best.. No, you're the best.. Ah stop it, you're much better.. Nonono, you're the master, all i wanna be us just like you!"
I guess this is because of the nature of the environment you observe them in. Sports at high level is competition, you kind of need a winners mindset, whereas dancing is more about self-expression, growth and style -> you get better at it by willing to learn from others. If you switch it around, and -say- watch interviews with athletes speaking about who are they looking up to and watch competitive dancers, you could likely get the opposite result. Context matters.
Their side by side performance looks like a synergistic puzzle....the pieces all FIT together so beautifully!!!! Halima and Sorah's routines complimented each other....my favorite moment was when the song said "focus" at a certain point and THEY ALL LOOKED AT THE SAME TIME 😆😆😆😆😆 Ugh...I SCREAAAAMED!!!!
David's!!! I absolutely love when people dance like it's as easy as walking or breathing. No rush, no effort, just so at home moving to the song. Real life goals.
I LOVE IT!!!! I would love to see a Breakdancing edition! I started dancing in general about 2 months, but I aspire to be a breakdancer! Also I'd love for a song by Chromeo to be featured ❤🔥😍
HAMILAS FLOW IS CRAZY her movements feel weightless and come across so cleanly?? AND THE wAY DAVID CONTROLS HIS BODY SO WELL-- animated kinda like a puppet with how he carried his weight, the way he performs is a favorite hands down. AND Sorahs choreo was jaw dropping.. her musicality is unmatched dude SHES SO SKILLED
Yo - does anyone ever give MAJOR credit to the camera operators?? These dances are emphasized GREATLY by the brilliant camerawork. Shouts out camera people. You’re doing a fantastic job.
I think what was so interesting with david's choreo was how much control and synch he had with his non-moving parts and the camera. For example like when his head/neck/upper torso is the stationary piece and he's traveling, the camera moves exactly with him and it gives his dance style this almost like....puppety feeling that's so unique. It's definitely a compliment on his control but it's more complex than that for sure
David: I'm just a chill dancer... I feel like a nerd when I dance... The Girls: literally making noise and freaking out over how good he is the ENTIRE time
I just enjoy these 3 dancers one song videos so much. It's amazing how much you can do with just one song. And I absolutely love how positive everyone is and how much they cheer for eachother. That's also my experience from the dancing community in general. As long as you show you can feel the music, they will cheer for you, even though your moves might be basic
I love how excited the other choreographers get watching the dance. It's impossible for me to hold still while watching dancers and I love that I'm not the only person who experiences this
