Also until we find a player who can cross the ball along the ground into the 6 yard box at pace, Kyogo will continue to be ineffective. My God! Get it together Celtic!
The fact is Brendan left first time round because he wasn’t getting backed by the board. Genuinely, if we don’t get anyone in we will throw this league away, and after the patter of “anyone I need to convince, I’ll see you in may” etc, if we do throw it away, sharks will be thrown again, Rodgers will be away, sack the board chants and banners etc will return. The truth is we got incredibly fucking lucky to find Ange who was so brilliant that he papered over the huge cracks that continue to exist, take Angeball away, the system etc. and everything’s fell apart again. Just look at Greg Taylor, from pretty much the minute he came in everyone felt we needed to and could realistically do better than him. Ange came in and played inverted full backs and all of a sudden he’s POTY, Ange goes after an incredible couple of years and immediately we’re back to needing better than GT (this isn’t me saying I disagree, we do totally need a first team LB as well as the other positions discussed.) All in all, what Celtic need is to either: a) get players in in the next couple days (although at such short notice what sorts of players will we be left to choose from?) B) If we don’t get players in, then huge changes to the recruitment team, board etc. so we don’t have these same issues going forward Or, C) get rid of the manager (probably after we throw the league away and Brendan is raging re: recruitment and can’t take it anymore) and hope we get lucky again and get Ange 2.0.
i think we can identify talent in our market easily enough. we've proved that. our problem is we can't use players of limited value/potential without ange (or another lucky hire like that). brendan wants his team to play like elite players . that's his prerogative and it worked slightly in europe. but if he doesnt get better players he needs to adapt to limited players by simplifying the game. because the boys we have can't be trusted to think too much before deciding what to do with the ball. if brendan deserves blame it's for getting deluded by desmond who clearly had no intention to spend more
Why as a fan base do we just sit back and accept the amateurish way our club is run . We have the power to cause change and remove these tired old men . I want to see a sea of those red signs with board members heads in them at celtic Park. Protest at every game . Get them out and don't accept mediocrity .
Is Maeda exempt from all the justifiable criticism of the aforementioned players because he runs and runs and runs? For example, when a ball gets played to Maeda with one man to beat, are you more hopeful of a goal/assist than, say, Abada?
Celtic are now primarily a business now designed to make profits. Football is a distant second concern with entertainment value not even considered for supporters spending over £600 every season.
The booing and the general outrage re signings is once again being generated by Green Brigade who are at war with the board, raising a non issue. Here we go again, the booing on Saturday, like GB was an embarrassment!
I don’t know where to start with this shite. “Junglebhoy” ironic name as you’ve went full on GB assault. Was no-one passionate in the jungle back in the day nah? Secondly, regardless of who booed...I’ll let you in a wee secret; IT WAS CELTIC FANS. Thirdly, what’s your problem with it anyway...are you HAPPY with everything just now or something!? I actually think you might be related to Peter Lawwel.
@@gzz8551 First off there’s passion and then there’s GB. Not passion, disruption- protest - politics - agendas and more politics. I counted 6 different flags at the Lazio home game every cause and country under the sun. That’s not about football! So let me get this straight, the club are going to be 2 points ahead of the huns soon enough, title race is on, we are probably favourites to win it yet they boo a 1-0 win at the weekend! ( Entitled fans) The only conclusion I can draw from that is if you can’t get your head around the fact there’s a title race on then you’re not there for the football or you don’t understand what’s going on 😂 At least when we followed Celtic round Europe back in the day we knew how to enjoy ourselves not like these clowns running around making enemies and leaving innocent fans to take the heat. 10 titles 11 years- brought us 2 years of Angeball- the club are doing a decent job of leaving the huns in our wake! The club created the monster that is GB, whilst GB go after the club and the board at every turn. Celtic F.C. now the “protest” club.
@@frankbrennan1619 I’ve never heard a home win getting booed anywhere any club never mind at Celtic and thats why I think ordinary football fans wouldn’t boo a win at home. Might be unhappy with the performance but you walk away with 3 points in the bag and move on to the next game.
@@junglebhoy7 So if Ross County had won (and you could argue they could have!) then would it be ok to boo then? Sometimes you have to look past the result and look at the warning signs. I’ll give you an opposite example; remember Ange’s first 5 games? Shite results but we could at least SEE what he was doing with the team. This current setup is the opposite, results are good but the football is (as has been all season) absolutely miserable. And when you keep playing badly EVENTUALLY the results will turn and you’ll be watching Rangers lift the league and scoop about £50M. Hope your still happy then!
All the chat at the end of last season was that we needed to upgrade the LB position. Now with Greg Taylor out injured, not only have we failed to upgrade that position, we've downgraded!! Our options now are 1. Cross our fingers and persist with Bernabei in the hope he comes good 2. Play Scales out of position 3. Go with an untested kid All because Greg Taylor (after pretty much playing week-in week-out for 3 seasons) has finally succumbed to injury. The thing is. I actually like Greg Taylor and think he gets a lot of unfair stick BUT even if you think he's the best LB in Europe, we still cannot go with ONE competent LB for 2-3 seasons running and not expect to face some consequences eventually.
If we don’t back the manager AGAIN, sharks will be getting tossed! We are an embarrassment with regards to transfers. As a fan we allow for every caveat with regards to how difficult these deals can be….. but! ……. You can’t tell me there is no LB anywhere in the entire world who isn’t better than Gregg Taylor we can go buy now? There is just no way. Shambles! Great show guys love it. Much love from London 💚🏴
Congratulations bhoys You've arrived today where I've been since the McGinn saga The simple fact is there is no evidence of STRATEGY in my clubs transfer dealings🍀. In fact by my eye there is more evidence of finacial mismanagement or dare I say corruption Poorly represented players first it seems . Can we sell a player for more money than we bought him? It seems, not does he improve us ?
was feeling optimistic after the St Miren game before the winter break. But Celtic this year has been consistenly inconsistent. The manager has been inconsistent with his messaging but he got no help from recruitment, failing to replace Mooy, Starfelt, Jota with any players half as good as those departed.
That's an amazing idea to try get someone from the club to come on the podcast and talk about the clubs transfer policies... I think everyone and not just myself would be interested to really find out the inner workings of the clubs transfer framework
We really are skidding along on our arse. I don't mind admitting my brothers and sisters of paradise. my stomach is doing hula-hoops around my arse hole.🤞❤️🍀
"Y'all must have forgot" 😂 Larsson lads, Henrik knocked back Man Utd on multiple occasions, even Barcelona.. although he only knocked them back till the end of the season.. HH 🍀
@20MinuteTims yeah it was, nowadays you get 100mil if they've sneezed in a big league.. 😑 hopefully we can pull something out this window but I honestly doubt it, I don't think we've had targets in mind, playing blind again I fear
