It’s based on the short story (contained in the collection The Books Of Blood, complete volumes) of the same name by one of the, if not thee, greatest horror and fantasy writers alive: the ever brilliant Clive Barker. He also wrote the novella The Hellbound Heart- which the original Hellraiser film was adapted from (even though the film barely does the written story justice). And many, many incredible novels. He’s also an accomplished playwright and artist, doing all the illustrations for his novels. If you read and like fantasy or horror I highly recommend his works. Check out Imajica, The Books Of Blood complete volumes, and The Great And Secret Show to start. They’re absolutely brilliant.
Personally I thought it was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. It’s so badly written and the acting is so bad, and on top of it all I personally found Mary actually insufferable.
American Mary is one of my personal favorites. The main character is the same girl from Ginger Snaps (as Ginger), also a great movie. Highly recommend both.
Midnight meat train was good… there’s a reason for all the killing. However, the Human Centipede will always be the most disturbing movie to me, no movie can top that one 😣😫.
@@mika9883 yea they made 3. The 2nd one. Was some guy who recreated the first by kidnapping ppl and there was a lot of fucked up scenes but the one that killed me was him stepping on a baby that was attached to the mom still and i threw up watching that movie. But the third i think is he goes to prison and meets a fucked up warden who uses him to make a chain of like 500 prisoners. I did t watch that one tho. And wont.
Should probably check out: "Wicker Man" (1973) "Prince Of Darkness" (1993) "Videodrome" (1983) "The Hills Have Eyes" (1977) "The Fly" (1985) "Audition" (1999)
Well you can't just put up Prince of Darkness without the other two movies in the trilogy lolol, gotta suggest Into The Mouth of Madness and The Thing as well.
The Human Centipede is hands down the most disturbing movie imaginable. Edit- opinions are like assholes. We all have them, and they all stink. Don't like mine? Keep strolling and move on with your day.
Check out Movie Recaps, Mystery Recap, Scfi Recap and many more channels. But those are the ones I watch and how they break down the movie, makes you want to watch the movie after to see it play out. If you don’t care for spoilers!
Went to a late showing of Midnight Meat Train like 16 years ago, fell asleep, missed the end. Just watched it a few days back.... *Completely* different ending than i expected!
In American Mary I felt bad for the girl because she was just trying to make money and shit but her professor decided to turn her evil and shit. The one good part is that her boss was one of those pervy but good friend to Mary and tried to help her out
The last one is like the stories where a ship needed pictures taken inside it before being stripped apart. The who took the photos didn’t realise that there was a man with an axe in one of the rooms. The security footage showed no one going in or leaving the boat’s only entrance. A search was done but no one found this man.
SCREAMING YES MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME. CLIVE BAKER IS A GENIUS. Also glad somebody is bringing American Mary to attention; that one is so good 🥺
@@bambi_bbholic6343 I honestly don't think it's as disturbing considering it takes a different approach to it. Like yes, both are body modifications, but one is more revenge driven and has a different amount of layers behind it. I don't wanna spoil it in case you haven't seen it yet! Although I personally didn't find the human centipede disturbing- I thought it was boring and dragged too long for me to really be invested. American Mary had a struggle that I was on the ride for and I liked how it touched on how disturbing things can be oddly beautiful like the body modification community and all 🙃
@@bambi_bbholic6343 no problem! I really enjoyed it- I really love Katherine Isabel and the Soska Sisters... I hope that you enjoy the revenge part of it! Just y'know, make sure to take care of yourself in case SA is triggering for you 🤗
@@vastadmist2258 Med student drops out of college after her professor rapes her. She starts doing body mod to make money. "Practices" on her professor
I really actually appreciate videos like this especially when I cannot find anything to watch even though I’m a huge movie buff and lover I do appreciate this the same extremely interesting
I think the second one is based off an actual serial killer that was never caught, he would leave body parts in a dump without the head, they suspected he (assumption) was not local and came off the train, since the bodies were close by the train station area
Here's more you may have not seen... Murder party, shrooms, excision, funny games (remake), green room, the collector, rosewood lane, frighteners, the platform, repo the genetic opera, house of wax, slither, we need to talk about Kevin, the hitcher, cube, the crazies, faculty, joy ride, cabin fever and trick r treat. Off the top of my head, hopefully something in there for someone.
The midnight Meattrain is so underrated it’s actually a really good movie and he doesn’t Suspect that guy at first he’s out there taking pictures because he’s trying to become a professional photographer and he’s so happens to find something more sinister
I’ve seen all of these. Wasn’t too impressed with Triangle or American Mary, but the Midnight Meat Train was pretty good. The ending was definitely not expected and trippy.
@@user-ul1kn3cs9d mdpope like the mixtape??? its just a bunch of very old gore videos put together, its not super awesome or scary. the only thing about it is that the animal videos are very sad :(
@@stoneyJutsu how in the hell did they make sequels? Does she get raped everytime she leaves her house? Lol that is the most ridiculous shit I've heard of. Have you seen any of the sequels?
@@oryan4395 idk i didnt watch them. Triggering for me personally. i just know they exist. I think it happens to someone else and someone gets away they drag it through a movie or two idk i just know there are a bunch
I could be trippin, but Midnight Meat Train was a short story written by Clive Barker. If the movie is half as terrifying as the book, that’s one wild ass movie
@@vastadmist2258 so they get in a boat and there's a masked guy in it trying to kill them and i think only a woman survive i forgot i watch it when I was like 6
Woman gets on a boat with some friends. They get pushed out to sea. Find huge ship and get on to ask for help. They think they see someone on the boat. Everyone starts getting killed one by one. Till the main character is last one left. It's movie with a twist at the end. She finds out she's really in hell and keeps reliving the same day after killing her son. It's very good movie.
the most disturbing movie I’ve seen in a bit is Spree, it’s about a guy that will do anything for views and popularity on his yourtube channel, so he becomes a spree driver (like Uber) and picks people up and kills them. he also kills his mother and father. and the worst part is, he FILMS it all on his LIVE stream.
I still remember watching triangle when i was young. And after that movie i have unlocked a fear of loops and repetition. It was so disturbing that i really hated watching it
I’ve seen the last one Just randomly showed up on TV and I watched it here’s a hint never get yourself involved with time continuum or any type of Time phenomenon
Bruh triangle is such a distant memory, i remember the cover of the movie and the ending . Definitely a movie that makes you feel trapped would not watch again
Horror movies arent worth watching. Designed to make you feel helpless and think your helpless to the dark. Call on Jesus. Just his name is power. You are loved. Never forget who you really are.
true! theres so many fairly disturbing movies (personally i dont think these are disturbing) like the human centipede or fresh, I LOVE THE MOVIE FRESH LIKE THE HELL-
Midnight meat train ending is one of the best and triangle ending and whole story is brilliant but the triangle is not really scary per say like jumpscares more like thriller and suspense
@@brendaslusher2680 it's about this girl who gets the role for a play called black swan and the the characters slowly starts taking her over and there's more disturbing things in the movie but I won't expose all of it

@@mrs.francis7180 It's talking about a deep subject relating to what we don't see but we know about that we cannot interact with. Lol that sounds like a riddle but the way it's illustrated is through a guy with a career in photography that needs x amount of photos to make it into a show. Once the photos get rejected, and told to take more interesting photos that capture the moment. The movie takes you on a roller coaster after that! Hope that helped
The Triangle movie was so good. They nailed the Constant match up of their future selves attacking their past selves. The editing to make all the scenes match perfectly from every standpoint. Who ever directed and edited did an insanely good job. The twists are awesome.
Triangle is one of the most underrated horror films, shame because its a very good movie, the plot twist and mind fuckery that happens will leave you wanting answers, especially when the movie starts to reveal whats happening towards the end, i highly recommend everyone who hasn’t seen it to watch it.
@@johngililland6166 They already have it. Do you see it in stores? I read they have to change the law first, so they don't have to tell us it's soylent green.
I've seen both "Midnight Meat Train", and "Triangle"..... they are both really good and worth a watch! Another great movie is "The Inheritance" with Lily Collins.
Most disturbing movies for me: Human Centipede Guinea Pig That movie that scientist turn a guy into a walrus and force him to eat/act/live like a walrus in their controlled environment. The most disturbing series of movies is: VomitGore trilogy If you don’t like vomit, blood or gore don’t see it (I like gore but this one want’s acted to the point that some people in the movie committed suicide, they were litteraly torturing/killing/making people vomit and recording it) and there is no
