When you cut your coke can, try using a thick hardback book. Place you blade, backed up next to the binding so the book is doing most of the work holding the blade. Only a tiny amount showing is needed. Pick the height (page number). Hold book firmly and slowly spin can while flat on he table. Perfect cuts every time. It your book isnt fat enough, stack it on another to get the desired height. Also, when fitting the two parts together, use another full, unopened, soda can as a "press" or a type of die.. Slowly work just one of the can halves around the bottom of the full can to spead it out just a touch. The aluminum is so thin it will expand enough to insert opposite half into the one you just expanded. I've built countless alcohol stoves using this method. With a little practive you can crank these projects out and they'll look good to. Look up coke can stoves. Great for a back-up stove or stove for hiking.
