Perché l'Albania anticamente era molto più grande dunque comprendeva anche una parte della Grecia e della Macedonia attuali. Probabilmente anche Sparta era albanese ma non è facile stabilire con precisione la storia dei Balcani perché è complicatissima

It first spread from the northwestern Balkans southwards during the EBA/MBA with cultures likes Cetina (Dalmatia) and Cetina-derived groups which have yielded most J-L283 samples in antiquity. In a 2022 study, J-L283 and its paternal clade J-M241 were found in three out of seven Daunian samples. In IA Çinamak(northern Albania), half of the samples belonged to J-L283. Y haplogroup I is represented by I1 more common in northern Europe and I2 where several of its sub-clades are found in significant amounts in the South Slavic population. The specific I sub-clade which has attracted most discussion in Balkan studies currently referred to as I2a1b, defined by SNP M423, This clade has higher frequencies to the north of the Albanophone area, in Dalmatia and Bosnia. The expansion of I2a-Din took place during Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages and today is common in Slavic speaking peoples. Haplogroup R1a is common in Central and Eastern Europe, especially in Slavic nations, (and is also common in Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent). In the Balkans, it is strongly associated with Slavic areas. You are wrong! At least 1/3 of their vocabulary is Greek, cause they emigrate from Albania to Morea (Peleponnese) and from Morea to South Italy.

@@GrecoByzantine1821 Not sure about 1/3 of Arberesh vocabulary being Ancient or Medieval Greek; probably less than that, but the rest of their vocabulary is Medieval Albanian. Similar to Arvanites in Greece, whose language is Albanian and not Greek. Yes, many Arberesh in Italy originated in Morea; Albanians in Italy, USA and elsewhere, still sing to "Morea" to this day, but when they do so, they do it in Arberesh/Albanian language (not in Greek) - Medieval Albanian communities all over the world (except for those in Greece) embrace Albanian identity. The repression from Greek state and society has been very strong against Arvanites expressing any Albanian identity; especially because the country of Albania is a Muslim majority, and Arvanites, Italy's Arberesh, and other communities abroad are 100% Christian, pre-Ottoman conversion. @@HK-pp9ig arvanites are greek who wa forced to speak albanian because of the region and ottoman opression, which resulted in christian albanian and christian greek to flee to italy. the ones who could not or did not wanted to flee remained in the region if epirus. arvanites kept allway their romanic greek tradition and was involved in all of greek wars for independence against the muslim occupiers and the albanian muslim collaborators.
