Thanks to Coach Lepinski! I had a really bad time "feeling" the dolphin ondulation and most videos go straight to the flow drill but that is not ideal when trying to feel of the stroke and ondulation. These exercises in the video are fantastic to start getting the body and mind the feeling of the ondulation.
I swim butterfly everyday and night. I do about 52 laps in 1 hour of butterfly and freestyle on the return . Every time I get in the pool now, I start off with butterfly for a straight hour . The first 30 mins without flippers and than another 30 mins with flippers that’s one hour straight. I average 50-60 laps finish in 50 mins or the whole hour. If I finish early like 50 mins, than I’ll do backstroke and freestyle return for the last ten minutes. If I swim two hours. I’ll do the one hour of butterfly and freestyle returns and 30 mins of backstroke and freestyle return. Last 30 mins I’ll use the kick board for 20 mins and than 10 mins of bouy freestyle back and fourth for the last ten minutes. Before I get out the pool, I’ll do one butterfly without flippers and freestyle return. After I get out the pool , I’ll do ten push-ups Finish. One hour rest and go swimming again for another 1 hour at a different pool! Same routine one hour of butterfly! I just started this in December of 2022 did it for a whole month and still going….. I learn to swim on my own and watching others swim in 2019 I started with breaststroke in Lake Michigan in the summer finally 2020 I learn freestyle and backstroke in a park district pool. In 2021 learned to swim dolphins strokes . I just recently learned butterfly in the end of November of 2022. Now I swim butterfly every chance I get , whenever I’m in a pool no matter what I start off with butterfly my favorite swimming stroke now!
Could you be more specific please? No clue as to what you are meaning. Throwing your energy forward helps accentuate the body wave action so more power to your kick.
What does that mean at teh end of our stroke- at the recovery"(:51)? Does this mean just after teh hands have entered the water? Or at teh end of the pull? Thank you. Would love to swim with you, where are you? Ben
The end of recovery for butterfly is that "superman position" you see in the video at :51. This is technically the end of one arm pull and the beginning of the next arm pull for butterfly stroke.
Bu - beforehand you + TTER-- were timed 2x + pointed out - by someone - as illegal! Ah ha - illegal and claimed - any sport team - 2nd Amend! No labor party - for!
When it comes to sports, men seem to excel in various aspects. Personally, I found it difficult to listen to her; a man would have explained this much more effectively.
you did not just write this….in the 21st century!!! she does talk quickly, but really, is it because of her gender? or is she just a fast-talking PERSON.
I've seen many men and women babbling around without getting to the point. I doubt that this is a gender matter. In this clip i do not see why it should be explained ineffectively. But if you want an effective drill without babbling around: swim butterfly in shallow water. That will teach you very quick not to undulate to much.
