Thank you so MUCH!!! The nail polish remover worked!!! Was an expensive Marc Jacobs purse, white big black stain! And it’s gone!!! Thank you thank you!!
Thank you so much! My mom has borrowed me her prize possession that is her branded bag when I travel India. After I got here I see the foundation abd paint marks on leather. I took to shoe repair guy all he said he will polish with black and I hesitated as it is costly bag with original leather and not sure about polish. After I apply sanitizer like you said it worked perfectly. Thank you for saving my skin from my mother thrash:)
Nail polish worked the best 👍👍 thank you for sharing the tricks, I thought the best way is when the stain still new, don’t let the stain stay for very long time. Then the tricks will barely work.
I used nail polish remover on my Gucci soft pink interlocking top handle bag and it took off tje stain but also took off the original paint as well . Now the spot is pale.😢
Use acetone if you want to destroy your purse. The stain on her purse was the wipe clean marker ink, which can be easily removed with a damped cloth. ✌🏼
Recommation to remove transfer on faux leather? Dark same item transfered to cream color hanging next to it. Wash didn't work. Alcohol started to remove coating. Help😢.
But fortunately you still have choices. I wouldn't feel comfortable with any of the methods in this video on my bags. A professional shoe and bag repair shop/spa can sometimes remove the transfer dye. If they can't remove the dye, many shops and spas can dye the bag a deeper color. I love the look of suede and nubuck bags but I don't love babying it by always having to wear a lighter color than my bag, but it is a pretty sure way to prevent dye transfer. Not to say smooth leather is immune from the problem of dye transfer. Smooth leather can and will have issues with dye transfer. Still suede and nubuck are the worst except for lambskin (smooth or with a nap) are the worst of the worst.
