Beef mince recipe by Alison Holst 'Super Spaghetti Sauce'
2 medium onions chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed
2tsp oil
cook these together until onion is transparent, then put into slow cooker with the following ingredients...
500g beef mince
1 large carrot grated
1 x 400g tin diced tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 x 50g packet tomato soup mix
1 cup hot water
3 tsp beef stock powder
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp each of salt, oregano and smoked paprika
give the ingredients a good mix together
cook on low for 6-8hrs, stirring every now and again.
Chicken Mince Recipe by Alison Holst 'Green Chicken Curry'
(adapted by using chicken mince instead of drumsticks/thighs)
2 Tbsp oil
1 small onion chopped
1-2 Tbsp green curry paste
heat these 3 ingredients for 1-2 minutes in a pan until curry paste bubbles, then put in slow cooker and add...
1/2 cup coconut cream
1/2 cup extra coconut cream or 1/2 cup chicken stock
2 Tbsp fish sauce
1 tsp brown sugar
500g chicken drumsticks, thighs or mince
1-2 zucchini chopped into rounds
green beans about x 12 and cut up
mix all these ingredients together and cook on high for 4-5hrs or until chicken is cooked through.
