cody lucynki Blackstone was specifically made to be a nether stone that can make stone items such as tools and furnaces. Having basalt, which is a lot more common than blackstone in basalt deltas have the same function would diminish the value of blackstone.
I just recently got back into Minecraft after not playing for years, and there is a lot to catch up on. And I must say this channel has given me a lot of great information. So good job Wattles. Your content is useful and high quality, you definitely deserve 500K and then some.
Plantedparty174 But call me Joe you can find it through the channel if you do it right. He probably doesn’t check it and has a separate account for his life outside of RU-vid
I don't play on Java, so I don't know if this is just a bedrock thing, but on that last farm, you don't need the second repeater going into the first. Place one repeater next to and facing AWAY from the observer, and set it to four ticks. Run your redstone around and into your piston (no need for the block behind the piston) and place your lever in the same place Wattles put his. That's all you need. And your circuit won't get stuck in the on position anymore either.
How to fix Generator number one to reduce drops lost to lava: Place a hopper under the lava, which then leads to a chest ideally placed on the same side on which you're standing. A couple of extra steps, but it should ensure that any drops that fall into lava get picked up before they can get destroyed.
Hey wattles these generators are great thanks. But if you could improve it by using a tnt blast chamber like the cobblestone generator so it will be automatic
I have a non-automated basalt generator that pushes not just out, but then upwards. Once it is fully pushed out, there’s a row of pistons under to push it all up 13 blocks, so I get a roughly 13 x 13 thing of basalt. I might automate it later.
You can also hook up an ibserver to the end of the 13 blocks and get pistons to push the whole row into a cube to be blown up by a dupped tnt block, then no pick durability useage and you can afk without a autoclicker
Oh by the way, why does everybody need a face reveal? What's so exiting about somebody's face? People are allowed to have their face concealed (hidden for you dim people) People apparently can't live a quiet life (not a jojo reference with the Yoshikage Kira thing) and not have peace going to Walmart or something.
you also should say, that the best way is to build these farms in the Nether itself, cuz lava acts there more like water, and flows quicker, which also generates sweeeet, salty basalt even faster! happy for your 500k, you diserved it!
I put lava going into blue ice, and on the side is soul soil but the soul soil is attached to a sticky piston. Use 2 observers facing each other to power it.
Thanks Wattles, I have long been running a cobblestone generator using pistons and a redstone clock. It works like a Swiss watch. But for this new block, I want to try an observer in the design of my basalt generator.
Instead of obsidian, you can use a non-flammable bock that doesn't use a pickaxe (i.e. crimson wood), and it will take long enough to mine that the basalt will regenerate.
Once you get that 13 blocks out, put pistons behind each one, then that pushes it out to produce a sheet of basalt. You could then put pistons underneath each block and push those up to create a big block of it.
Just a idea the models 2 and 3 if you would put a row of automatic pistons in the area where basalt stacks and then make it do a floor or 13 blocks and then but observators in the back and make them activate anither row of piston under the "basalt floor" and then just make it do 13x13 cube and maybe make it turn into other peaces that are easier to mine or even keep it and mine the center and get easy house maker;)
Interesting fact: if you build the first one in bedrock (I don't know if it does this in Java) it will slowly speed up until eventually there is barely any time between breaking the basalt and you can fill your inventory within a couple of minutes. Also, you can reduce losses for the first one by placing a hopper minecart underneath the soul soil.
Wattles, thanks for the kickstart. I took your piston design, but added 4 hoppers away from the soul soil and into a chest, then a pressure plate as my on/off. So, it only runs if I stand in front of the chest, and with the piston being 6 blocks away, I never hit the piston.
I'm preparing my survival world for the nether update and I would like to see a tutorial for a TNT powered basalt generator so I could know the materials and stuff
Wood will also work in place of obsidian and easier to get in early game. It works cuz the pick won’t mine it in the time it takes the basalt to regrow. Works on a cobblestone generator too.
Quick tip for number 2 if you can afford it. Create a 30 tick game clock (3 4-tick repeaters and 3 observers. Labs flows at 30 game ticks, meaning that the basalt is pushed out as soon as it’s generated
I don't care what people said dude, but you are one of the best Minecraft tutorial makers ever on RU-vid! Thank you for the videos, and congrats on the 500K! Can't wait for more videos.
I don't know why it's taken me so long to subscribe, I've been coming back to this channel since I've found your 1.14.4 fishing farm during the 10th anniversary of Minecraft 2 years ago. I should have subscribed so long ago. I guess it's better late than never. Looking forward to more awesome content
A little tip: if you build the generators on the nether then it'll be far more efficient because of the simple fact that lava flows much, much quicker in the nether.
Idea for 500k. I would LOVE to see you run a Skyblock survival series. I think you could do some amazing stuff. Love your videos and congrats on 500k! ♥️♥️
You can push 13 out, and 13 out again with a row of pistons, making a square of 169 blocks. You can have a redstone timer and have it timed for it to extend fully then push out.
