3 easy ways to clean your record needle (aka stylus)! 

Gel cleaner has been proven to leave traces of the gel material on your stylus when magnified leaving it much worse than just dust and over the long-term ruining your stylus. The brush is your best option.

Spooky, I was listening to Madonna on my turntable & flicking through RU-vid. I got up because the sound was distorted & cleaned the needle with 2 types of cleaner brushes. I picked up my mobile & your great ways to clean your needle was glaring at me. Are you psychic?.

I’m positive the advice with that brush being demonstrated is just let the needle sink in to the bristles, the brush is tightly packed and shouldn’t be dragged on the stylus, I just bought an electronic stylus cleaner and is the same idea with similar brush head that vibrates and it works a treat

I'm using the Winyl stylus duo clean . 1 solution for cleaning the stylus and solution for cleaning the brush. I have also a dry brush vor quick cleaning

Method 1 works for me. Just commenting because I have a similar table, mine is a Pioneer PL-518. But my cart is an Audio Technica AT-VM95C...try it! I know, it's just a conical! But man it sounds better than any cartridge I've ever used on this TT!

Where have you been, many say do not use a gel cleaner, apparently they leave a residue on the stylus that is next to impossible to remove. Just saying 😎

I use a makeup brush (that has never been used) to clean the needle is that alright cause it has skipped before I done it so I done that and then I used the virus and it fixed it!

All that dust? I clean my records everytime with a carbon fibre brush. Also quality, non-paper record sleeves.

If your turntable sounds like crap, this video is not going to solve your problem. Get a better stylus, better Amplifier and better speakers.

2 of those methods don't work on turntables that start spinning the moment the arm leaves its cradle, like our old 1960s B&O.

You brushed the stylus correctly as you told the viewers to brush "backwards and forward", which is a great way to damage the stylus/cantilever. Quite irresponsible! Also, magic eraser can weaken the bond between the cantilever and the stylus.

Trying to clean something with a dirty brush seems self defeating . Buy a cheap toothbrush to keep it and any record cleaning pads clean.

I use canned air.

Well my stylus is covered in dust and hair and is sounds like somebody is scraping a fork on a plate

Strange, I just use the same carbon fibre brush I use to clean the records. No special tool require. And if I keep my records clean I clean the stylus about once a month.

Do not use anything that leaves residue on your needle.

That won't help that moving magnet low fi cartridge

Use L.A.S.T. if you want you records to last. (pun not intended)

Okay I'm not even into vinyl and that makes me cringe number one if you need a stylus or really what it's called cartridge is dirty do not use the Mr clean because if you accidentally and you won't even realize go down or come up on it not pure perpendicular yeah you know don't do that no it's too abrasive it's too catchy even though you may not realize it it is no good The gel you dip it three times in each time you dip it in a different location I'm not sure if if you can get the good quality ones yeah I would prefer the gel over even the brush and then third the brush yeah you can do that but you really better off with Kane there or 99% alcohol depending on your cartridge like yours you have a phone around it this is another reason why most true people into vinyl and records actually store their cartridges either with a protective cat or they come off the unit

Is Seether's a real simple solution to this CDs vinyl is dead and has been for over 20 ears p years why do you think they're so damn expensive. There's nothing rare and precious about vinyl except for absolute first issues as an example of the who's quadrophenia was originally created and pressed and released on a label called t r a x by Pete Townsend it's only one of a few examples for vinyl actually is worth tens of thousands
