Wow, this channel helped me a lot! And the extra tip on the last part of the video is my favorite! Now i know how to make my future pothos to look fuller and lush🥰 thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I had a pothos that had very long vine and did what you showed on this video. Now I just have to wsit and see how it does. Joping I fid good. Blessings 🙏
Thank you for your wonderful advice about Pothos, I do have one and it is a gift and she called it n' joy Pothos, I will try your 3rd option. I hope I make a lot of new n' joy Pothos, I already have air roots.
Interesting!! I usually only do one node per cut for my pothos cuttings and keep the leaf on. Is there a reason you don’t do it that way? I have 99.9% root success in water with only one node, but curious your reasoning :) thank you!
Same here. I don't like to kill off leaves if I don't have to. I love this channel and I'm sure there's a good reason he does it this way. Maybe the success rate is higher. Personally I haven't had a problem using one node. Plus I end up having a fuller plant.
@@JosBeeReads I wondered this too as I use one node per cutting. I think doing it this way might make potting them up a little easier as they would be able to stand upright.
Tysm for such a detailed video. I'm trying to save my pothos after over watering it. This is the most thorough video I have seen so far. I'm gonna try your suggestions regarding water propagation & I hope it helps. Again, ty!
Before I figured out that my new Pothos is actually a Philodendron (heartleaf), I pinned some of its nodes (in the same pot). Now I'm wondering if this method works for Philodendrons as well, but I won't find out until I repot it, because if it did grow new roots, I don't want to disturb them. Either way, I'll find out soon enough, as I already have some roots peeking out of the drainage holes...
Great information on your plants! I’m curious about starting a Pothos on wood? I have many plants, also new cuttings from a Pothos to try with climbing on wood bark. I’m just not sure how to start that. Any help would be wonderful! Happy planting! Julie
Sir I have used 1st and 3rd technique that too water propogated pothos to soil ,but I am not able to grow cuttings in soil.I have used sand, perlite even potting mix but my cutting always droops and dies.Any tips or ideas or where I am going wrong.
Hi. I am really sory. Do u have to make a long videos. Its long to watch thought. Please make a short video. 10 min. I guess. And pls dont beat around the bush. No offense
I know I'm late to the party... I've been using one node. I didn't want to kill off so many leaves. I am going to try propagating with two nodes to see if it roots any faster. 🤗 Thanks for the info!
I love your videos: very educational, professional and among all helpful (also for inexperienced plants carer as I am 🙂). Could you give any recommendations if there is any rule about the timing for the cuttings? Or it does not matter when the cuttings are done?
When doing the very last method that you mention at the end of the video, staking down vines back into the pot, do we cut the vine from the main plant once roots are established from the node? Should we cut it at any time into sections like we would doing single leaf cuttings or just leave it alone? Thanks
Very informative this and the All you need to know about Pothos videos. My dad gave me a portion of the Pothos that my parents got when I was born 40 + years ago. I have a Marble Queen, I found this out by watching your videos. Now I know why there is only one leaf with white varigations and the plant is leggy. I will be able to prune with out fear of hurting my plant and how to clean the leaves too. :) Thank you!
I wished I had know about the transitional issues of cuttings from water to soil. It's so true. I put 5 cuttings with roots in soil a month ago and only 1 succeeded in growing new leaves.
Very well explained. Just wanted to if the same method can be applied to Raphidophora tetrasperma for soil propagation with two nodes one going into the soil?
Thank you for the video! But my water propagated pothos rotted in soil((( maybe its better to use a smaller pot? some ppl say water just a little bit not much cause roots are too small and wont drink that much water. Im so confused...
Thank you for making detailed and easy to understand content. Needless to say, this is one of the best videos I have seen on propagating pothos. I have 2 Golden Pothos, one of them is very light green with yellow but the other one has very dark green leaves with yellow splashes... Is there a reason for this?, if so, what can I do to keep the leaves dark green and possibly turn the other light one to dark as well? Any info would be helpful to me, since I have not been able to find anything.
I’ve been watching this video on how to propagate my photos since last year, i cant thank you enough coz my photos are thriving well, from one small pot i got now so many pots big and small and giving away some too as a gift on various occasions . I can watch over and over on you deliver precisely your knowledge . Love you swedish plant guy., watching from Arkansas USA
Thank you so much for your informative videos with the charming host 🙏😍🙏 Could your "close-ups" (of plants and plant parts, soil, pumice, etc.) be closer, really zoomed in for better detail? I've enjoyed so many of your videos and have been meaning ask that! 🤓
Hello, 😘 your Chanel. I have plenty of Pothos and scindapsus and one of them is in a moss pole. The longest branches have been reaching the top of the pole, what is the best thing to do? Do I cut it and repot them on the bottom or do I bend them and simply secure the branches downwards?
I’ve been taking cuttings from my pothos and have been very successful. My ultimate goal is to have a large plant climbing up a totem (like you have flanking you on your videos) can you discuss the dimensions of pots you use to get that result? Thank you! I really enjoy your videos!
Question about your last suggestion: Does the roots grow faster in the other pot if the motherplant is still attached? Or what is the actual reason why you don’t detach it from its mama and let it grow roots by itself? Thanks for helping my curiousity 😀
I already have propagated the pothos in water and they've got roots and they are more than 10cm long, now that i want to transfer it to soil, i don't know what type of care should i give it so that it shall survive. Thank you
