LOVE LOVE LOVE THE COOKWARE REVIEW, FYI, never saw what the baking pan looked like after cooking the shrimp "boil" but who cares, I am a believer, and the BLUE, love me some blue ...also the storage ....wowza Caraway has it all. Thanks for a few recipes....

I love cooking with Maggie! We are definitely hooked on Half Baked Harvest through you. My husband always saves a little extra pasta water in the fridge and pours some on the leftovers the next day before microwaving them.

For the shrimp boil thing you can order andouille from Don’s Specialty Meats or The Best Stop (both in Scott, LA) and I suggest Tony Chachere’s it’s a true Cajun seasoning. It can also be purchased online (you can find them by googling the name of the seasoning or you can order at the two places I suggested above with using one of the two places listed above I’m almost positive that you can readily find other Cajun seasonings along with lots of other authentic Cajun items. Thanks for sharing the recipes. I make a skillet meal basically just like the cajun shrimp meal but I typically parboil the potatoes then cook everything in a skillet- and I use butter 🤣. It was interesting to see this alternative cook method though.

Curious why you don’t boil the water before adding pasta and why you didn’t heat the oil before adding the zucchini and squash? Does it have to do with the cookware?

Less to do with the cookware and more to do with efficiency and what works for me! I find it easier to multi task if I’m not waiting for the water to boil and waiting for the oil to simmer. I don’t notice a difference in taste or texture, and it frees me up to do other things while just keeping and eye on food already warming up/cooking. It also allows me to cook faster and use fewer dishes, because I’m not waiting around for things to heat up with a full cutting board of food that I’m waiting to add to a skillet or pot. I’m no chef! Haha just trying to be efficient in the kitchen!

How did pasta cook in the dutch oven? Did it work with using it on Med Heat?

Cooked just like normal! Yes, worked well on medium heat, because the cookware truly does a fantastic job of conducting the heat and maintaining temperature!
