In this video I’ll show you 3 effective ways to back up your WordPress website.
WordPress Backup in 2019 should work on any hosting provider that uses cPanel, I'll be using godaddy.
First we will be using free WordPress plugin called UpdraftPlus, which will backup automatically.
With this plugin you will be able to select where to store your backups, for example Google Drive, Dropbox or using FTP. The best part is that UpdraftPlus will backup your WordPress website automatically.
The second way is to use cPanel’s own backup feature, which is manual process, unless you pay.
Some hosting providers will provide free automatic backups, however I’m using GoDaddy and the automatic feature is not free. But I'll show you how to do it manually.
The third way is to use File Manager and phpMyAdmin in cPanel. This is also manual process.
With File Manager you are able to backup your WordPress plugins themes and images.
Whereas phpMyAdmin is used to backup WordPress database.
Please keep in mind to that WP backup shouldn't be done on your server. Because it might crash or get wiped out due to malware.
