I feel the same about CosRx snail mucin! It's helped my skin so much, especially during bouts of eczema. I also love the Haruharu Black Rice toner which I'm currently using, D'Alba First Spray Serum and the Dokdo toner!

I finally started using the Neogen micro firming essence that I bought ages ago. It was on the backburner because I had so many other products I was trying to use up, but now I'm kicking myself for just letting it sit in my skincare box- it's been doing wonders for my skin. I immediately noticed overall brightening effects and it didn't take long for it to start helping to fade old acne dark spots. I started using tretinoin in april and was a little disappointed because it didn't really seem to be giving results even after 3 months. As soon as I started using the Neogen in July it's like everything kicked into gear and the tret started doing its job. The pitted scars I had for years stated to soften and smooth out. 100% a great support product for tret.

Talking about snail mucin and how it helped you with breakouts made me remember the mistake i made. I’ve been an avid user of Benton’s aloe bha toner, which had snail secretion filtrate (they recently reformulated it and made it vegan by using Cynanchum Atratum instead). I used it everyday since 2020. I stopped using it for a few months to use BoJ ginseng essence water… and did it make a difference. My skin became so dry and dull, with bumpy texture and lots of clogged pores even after buying thick moisturizers like Aestura and La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume and exfoliating with Isntree’s Chestnut BHA. i had to bring it back to my routine along with Secret Key’s rose essence and Skinfood’s Propolis Serum. I’ll probably never not use those three ever. And sheet masks really do help with breakouts and boosting skincare routine esp. if you’ve recently changed it. Benton’s Snail Bee High Content Mask and Skinfood’s Pantothenic Water Parsley were a real great help healing the painful scabs i got from picking at my chin acne last week 😅🥲

@@gdvvgdfv not necessarily bad, more of which works best for me. Benton, Secret Key, and Skinfood works best for me rather than Beauty of Joseon and Isntree :D trying new skincare is fine as long as I have what works best for me within reach if my skin reacts badly to the new skincare.

Hi Kelly my current essence favourite is the jin jung sung soothing moisture essence - either paired with just my toners or used in combination with their omega "serum" (also in a 150ml bottle and with an essence texture). The high percentage of glycerine is working really well for me in the warmer months for the hydration my skin craves this time of year. the omega version is a replacement for me for the Laneige cream skin refiner - although the texture is very different the moisture level is really good too. I have very very dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin so it has very specific needs and these are working well for me in the essence step in my routine. Best wishes.

Hey, I also LOVE the Sioris Light It Up! The Sioris My First Essencer, and the Light It Up Essencer, are both one of the highest quality liquid steps out there. Just really high quality foe the price! I also love the Mixsoon bean Essence in place of the Cosrx (I don't like the Phenoxyethanol preservative in the Cosrx as it's irritating for me due to how much Essence I use haha). The bean Essence feels the same as Cosrx! It also works just as well as the Cosrx. A nice alternative to the Cosrx! Other than the other nature vegan mucin ones out there.... 😊

The only essence I have is the RNW ESSENCE and oh my goodness it is just so beautiful my skins so glowy and healthy it’s feels like a soft watery lotion it’s just pure moisture I love it so much!!! I wish some of their other products did not have the orange oil ugh! But several of them are my holy grails like the Ceramide Serum & the Ceramide Mist!!!! I just ordered the CosRx Snail Eye Cream with the peptides it sounds incredible for my dry under eyes lol… thanks so much for all you do you have wonderful information and content and I love the ingredient deck cards so I can snapshot lol 🤍🤎💚🖤🤍🤎💚🖤🤍🤎💚🖤🪴🪴🪴☀️☀️☀️

I have the cosrx advance snail 96 powder essence in my stash to open, and like the original without niacinamide. For so long I thought niacinamide was irritating my skin it turns out it was just HA all along 😂 I’m definitely going put the torriden on my wish list when I do my next order, will definitely pick up this essence along with the corresponding solid in ceramides barrier cream, I’m not sure if you are gonna try this one. It maybe a winter cream for you a Kelly

I am intrigued by the torriden essence Isn't it a bit oclusive? As an essence it should be the first step and can the next products do their job if aplied on top? Talk a bit about integrating this product into a routine. 😊

Everyone's routine is different so no advice will fit all. The essence is not occlusive and functions like a traditional essence (can be used after watery toners and before serums). But it's always best to layers your skincare from watery and thin to thicker and more moisturizing, that advice will guide you no matter what combo of products you use!

I find the Torriden Solid in essence to be really good value because I use it as more of a serum than an essence/toner. Also, have you tried Jumiso’s Snail essence? I’ve heard a lot of people say it’s really similar to the cosrx (same extract, not sure about the potency) but it has additional peptides.

It looks like YesStyle has the Sioris essner on clearance, so I assume they are no longer making it? But they have another one, Time is Running Out - a toner, mist , serum oil in one product. . Have you tried it? I've never heard of this brand before. Thanks!

I believe that there might be a K beauty or Western skincare ingredient that is irritating to my skin. Unfortunately, I have no idea which one it is. I have pretty typical skin. Feels a bit dry in the winter. I use a variety of K beauty products and Sephora makeup products. In the last year, I have noticed both itching and some cystic acne. I am not sure whether its medical or whether it's an allergy to skincare products. I dont have much time for my routine, so slowing down and using one ingredient at a time isn't very realistic. Do itchy face and cystic acne point to a particular ingredient (wishful thinking)? Are there specific ingredients rhat are more likely to cause those reactions? Thank you @KellyDriscoll for all of your informative videos. You have been, and continue to be, very influential in my K beauty journey.

Super hard to tell but cystic acne is often linked to internal issues (hormones, allergies, inflammation) I'd start your investigation there and keep your routine simple. Skin reacts in different ways so it's not really possible to generally rule out certain products or ingredients without working with a doc or derm.

Torriden has gotten really popular in Japan and I've been loving their products. Although the Dive in line seems to be the most popular, my dry skin loves this Ceramide range, especially the cream. I hate snail though, so all those Korean snail products just grossed my out, the slimy texture and the thought of snail puts me off.
