Hi friends! 🤗💕 I hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far! and I hope you enjoy these quick thrift store makeovers and a quick garden update! My garden is literally sprouting helicopter trees EVERYWHERE! (I dont know what to call them lol) so I am going to spend 2 hours today pulling them all! To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. That older video footage of you working in your garden was the first video I saw when I subscribed to your channel previous this account! Love everything you do! The candles looked pretty and fresh! The table was so cute and totally you! As a side note, you also have beautiful nails! Your your nailbeds are long and graceful. You totally do not need fake nails! Very pretty hands! Loved the vid! ❤️🥰😘😍😻

It was such a fun and stress free time. I would love my nails natural if they would ever grow the problem is I use my hands so much they always break lol 😭

Hi April! Great projects! The table was really cute and I really enjoyed your candlestick make over. I loved both versions. Great tip about adding water to the chalk paint. I really hadn’t thought of that!🤦🏻‍♀️😄 Loving your garden. It is coming along so nicely. I just planted sunflowers yesterday. I can’t wait to see them grow! Great tip with using the water bottle. Love 💕 the table. I love candle sticks and the lighter color. Good idea to put the plant on the shorter one. Plants, flowers and gardens are food for the soul.

As as always, April, you upcycle the most amazing thrift pieces ~ The table is so sweet and I love the tip about spraying some water on the paint to thin it out! I think that on the tall candle holder you could wrap thin twine around the center area that is smooth, giving it texture and making it a little more farmhouse.

You could have definitely put a stencil on the little heart table. And I love the candle sticks. But what you could have done is antique wax it over the white to bring out the details. But I just love watching your videos. You're so kind and sincere. 🌿💜🌿

The candle sticks look good. They look farmhouse with that light color. The duck egg color looked good too though. I love that heart table. Its perfect white. Garden is looking good! ☺️ the rabbits ate most of ny hubbys corn he planted. He has 10 plants left out of 24. But at least we have some. The sunflowers are at least 6’ ft tall now and the cucumbers are growing like crazy we have eaten about 5 already! Take care my sweet friend! 😘

Love the candlesticks! We are our own worst critics aren’t we? I’ve been wanting to try Dixie bell paint after watching all Kacha’s tutorials! She’s a paint genius! I’m also with you wanting an orbital sander April! Ty for the tutorial!

I pour the paint on a plate and spray a bit of water. Also you can spray your piece or spray your brush. Keeping your brush moist will make slow the paint to smooth out.

Good. It eliminates brush strokes and you can do paint blending too when you moisten the brush and / or the piece. It’s fun.

I would have added a cute stencil on the table, top or bottom. You could have distressed the candlesticks,, they were okay.

I thought about a stencil but that would have involved me bringing my laptop down to my craft room and hooking it up to my cricut and I was in a time crunch lol it would be pretty though. 😊❤️

I really want a sander! I am always so in love with your thrift finds and your thrift makeovers! So perfect and gorgeous! I agree the table is farmhouse and shabby chic. I love when styles cross over. It makes it so much more interesting for me. I definitely would have painted it the same colour! I love the colour you chose for the candlesticks too! Even before you redid it, i think you just can't go wrong with white though, it is a calm colour that goes with everything. I loved the candlesticks in the blue with the white dry-brushing and in the end they’re beautiful too. Question about your garden: Do you just plant the seeds and let the zinnias grow from there or do you put plants in? Love the way they look and am looking for something to put around my wood pallet setup. (I also finally finished sanding and painting the chair my neighbor’s donated to me when they moved...looks great with the plant inserted in the center. Because of some injuries I have my hubby had to cut the hole for me but I’m loving the way it turned out.) Happy Friday Eve April! 🤗 #kindnessmatters

what did you do to those zinna to get them to grow & stay insect free? As soon as I planted mine,the snails & some other insect,didn't see it,devoured all 36 plants within 2 days.Pls help if you can. Discovered your channel from following Heidi Sonboul
