Why buy a ticket when his doing for free on RU-vid. Starting off with veggies make you fat. Sure want to talk about specific scenarios or a technical context sure. But what was delivered does more harm then good for mainstream RU-vid viewers. Let's talk about the stack you use and give some context around that. That would be useful the youth of today that face bigger challenges then those before them.
@@TauntingIntelligence switching to high rep superset rather than focus on heavy lifts. The growth in my weaker areas like chest and biceps has been unreal
Your garage workout is absolutely awesome. Just finished this week and my legs are so freaking sore. I'm changing things up for a month and going to do it again. So worth the $20 and I'm telling as many people I know about it.
I PROMISE you, nobody cares about your work outs. I PROMISE YOU ON MY LIFE!.TRUST ME! You weirdos need to learn this. Do you know how many people you push away when you constantly.talk about how many reps you did on what machine? Or what you're doing differently for your diet? Do you guys think by mentioning how sore you are is going to nake everyone think youre tough or something? I mever understood it. Would you care if a random dude told you what he was eating for lunch? Or imagind a bum walks up to you while walking out of 7/11 and he tells you his lega are sore from walking all day. What would you think? Wouod yoy hamg around and talk about it? Why do you think you matter?
Man, the alcohol thing is a true statement. It was the biggest adjustment I made in the beginning, thought I’d still be able to fit it in...but it made me soooo damn lazy and unmotivated the next day. Crazy how much my sleep improved once I cut it out. I still drink, but it went from 3-4 times a week, to 3 times a month...massive improvements to my everyday energy and health.
I started taking NAC and making sure to drink some water before bed when I do drink and it's made me feel a lot better the next day. Granted when I drink it's a small glass or 2 of whiskey/bourbon so ymmv depending on how crazy your drinking style.
This dude is so funny and amazing to watch! Thanks for making our lives better by NOT trying to bullshit us. Keep it real dude and thanks for your help.
If he kept it real he wouod tell you what he's taking and how much of it. And there's nothing funny about his videos. It's child humor. Lower the iq the easier impressed/amused.
You're spot on about some of the "zero sugar" options. I'm a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic so I have to monitor everything I eat. A few years ago I swapped to a keto diet to reduce not only my blood sugar levels, but also my insulin usage. I found that many "zero sugar" options are packed with sugar alcohols that not only spike your insulin needs, but do it at an alarming rate because they are so high GI. Not all sugar alcohols and sweeteners do this but you have to be very careful when chosing which ones to consume. Oh and the best ones taste like ass😖
Absolutely no transition from "I was a grown man chopping up my own poop on the bathroom floor" straight into "Buy my gym program". I'm 100% here for this and will buy your gym program.
Man I just found your videos and I have to say. You seem like a down to earth guy just spewing good advice. In an industry (fitness) that's so obsessed with self promotion and selling products. I have to say this is a refreshing change. Stay gold pony boy.
I had to go back through this again because the story at the end killed me LOL. I am completely inspired by your approach to fitness and health. No non sense, no feel good babying. Just facts and laughs.
Having worked as a janitor I have come across what we called...the unflushable. Had to get a plastic knife from the cafeteria and cut it into several sections. It was the same diameter as a 2 liter coke. I couldn't believe that this came from one of the middle school girls. Had to be a teacher. Either that or a sasquatch snuck in and dropped an anchor. Yeah, good times
Your channel is like one stop shopping. All the knowledge I need to enhance my physique plus your delivery in educating us is priceless. I literally shot coffee out of my nose. Too f..king funny! You're the only fitness channel I've ever followed where I look forward to the next one.
@@danieleckstein7118 He isn't teaching dietary advice. He is promoting a fad diet based on personal experience. He clearly has never read a nutrition text book. No dietitian, you know, someone that went to school and got certified, would ever recommend this. The science goes against everything he says...I mean he is right about alcohol and artificial sweeteners...but to tell people a bag of veggies is high in calories? Please. Tell me what is lower in calories? If you want dietary advice go to Half Price Books and buy a nutrition text book for 3 bucks in the clearance section.
Started my weightloss journey like 2 week ago, now starting my 3rd week of it. Im down 7 pound by cutting out soda and lowing my cals intake. I used to intake 3k - 4k and now I'm around 1.3k - 1.9k cal per days with 100+g protein per day. I am seeing changes on my body. Most of what I am doing is because of your videos. Thanks my guy.
"What are you laughing at?" *Holds up phone "Sorry, this gigantic man is talking about digging shit out of his ass and chopping it into smaller pieces after he jumped a fence."
I gave up alcohol almost 8 years ago. The benefits of sober living are too vast to list, but my body comp improvements were remarkable within 6 months.
Honestly….. that’s one of the best shit stories I’ve heard in a long time. Just that fact you had to break it up , you took it to another level . Thank you for your service.
I was an alcoholic drinking a handle of vodka every 3 days for at least 2 years. Put on 50 lbs from just alcohol. I always ate clean, but alcohol alone did me in. No matter how you justify it, cardio immediately the next morning, just drinking vodka with water, working out the next morning…it doesn’t matter. Don’t be like me and have to go cold turkey for weight to come off fast. It’s not worth it.
I fuckin love your videos! I'm an injured military veteran and you have motivated me to get back into the gym. I admire your "no-bullshit" attitude. It's the exact boot to the ass I needed to get off the couch and fight through the pain. So thank you!
I love this guy just discovered him on RU-vid. He talks just like me and buddies from Brooklyn nyc. I’m gonna listen to you. Your rite. The truth is the truth
His content is amazing. He simplifies weight loss & working out for because it doesn’t have to me so complicated. The best part is his jokes because of his demeanor you aren’t sure if he is serious or not😂😂😂
I'm sorry for commenting on an older video. I nearly did die of laughter. I had to watch it twice and subscribe. You made my day brother thank you sincerely.
LOL! Too funny! I bought your full gym and garage program today. It was leg day already for me so I started with the full gym leg day. I finished it but almost had to be helped to my truck and It's an F350 and I sharted myself trying to climb in. Love this stuff! Did I mention I'll be 67 next week? Been doing this a long time and this is one of the best I've seen, thank you! By the way, boil a big pan of water to kill a massive turd, works well except the wife was disappointed because she thought I was cooking dinner
When I was 20 I had gained a huge amount of weight since graduating from school. I also got drunk every weekend, of course. Stopped drinking and lost 20 kilos (44 pounds) in a year JUST FROM NOT DRINKING. No diet, no extra exercise (I played tennis mildly for an hour twice a week), nothing. The weight gain from alcohol is impressive.
Most alcoholic drinks are high in sugars. And people snack with drinks. Not to mention how it alters your metabolism of sugars. I can totally believe it.
Hey brother you are so awesome...i appreciate you beyond for all your tips and advice.. For the last year i have been super serious in my work out and managed to lose over 48 lbs.. And i owe it to alot of your instructions.. Thankyou
#1 Fruits and Vegetables - can be tons of sugar if you overeat it #2 Alcohol - don't drink heavy stuff #3 Zero or Low Calorie Foods - A lot of them add up
I use olive oil, and measure every ounce. I keep track of everything in my fitness pal. 1.5 pound per week calorie deficit, macros 40% protein 35% fat 25% carbs. Lifting is 3 days on 1 day off. Making great progress. And I also eat 6 servings of veggies and 1 piece of fruit per day.
It's not good or bad, it's just mostly oil (canola, palm, and coconut) which means it's basically pure fat and dense calories. The label has nutrition info for a 0.25 second spray so it can say 0g of fat because they round down. No one ever uses that much, they use something like 8 times that amount. It's not about it being bad or good, but knowing what it is so you count your intake properly.
I lost 35 lbs by integrating a lot more fruits into my diet instead of snacking on other foods. A lot of fruits are not calorie dense foods and you can get a lot more volume for less calories than most other foods. Bananas are higher than most fruits but berries 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
@@mikeadcock1985 yep more calories burned than consumed = fat loss. Which once again I ll reiterate that most fruits and veggies are not calorie dense foods and perfect for fat loss in a diet.
Every morning after a workout (or not if I’m resting) I eat a bowl of oatmeal made with whole milk and a little butter, cup of coffee, and then eat a radish on my way out the door. Don’t eat again until dinner and usually have raw broccoli and another radish. Don’t eat again until breakfast.
You’re not the only one. This confused the hell out of me. He IS vegan right? I was shocked when he said it in another video but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t kidding. So confused
That is what I am saying. If he does not eat meat, honey, dairy, olive oil, veggies, or fruit, what does he eat? Pea protein powder breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Plus lots fruits and veggies have low calories.
@Box Addict you're right! All the you tube people are dopes. Here is the secret....ready? Eat as clean as you can. Move your body. You dont have to do crazy cardio. Go for a nice walk, half an hour, turn around go home. Do resistance training. Recover...get a good night's sleep. Do that and you will live a healthy happy life.
I generally like this guy's info and he's funny to me but he's misinforming people in this video about vegetables and even his thought on olive oil. Your body does need fats and understanding good and bad fats is huge. I wish he would not talk about healthy eating because it's clear to me he doesn't know what healthy eating is. Stick to workouts.
Once I cut my alcohol intake down a lot my body responded in the best of ways. My muscle growth has EXPLODED in the last 2 months. I used to drink way too much...but recently I have made some adjustments and my waist is down to a size 30 from nearly 34. It only took a few months too...Alcohol really stunts growth in muscles and sends that mess straight to your midsection instead.
God, I love your stuff! Thank you for the high-quality information and the amazingly deep belly laughs. I don’t have to work my abs this week because I watch this video.
Fruits and Vegetables?!? Coach Greg would be scratching his head over that one. Having heard your story, I understand your vendetta towards vegetables.
@@paulphillip3239 Maybe this isnt the channel for you?? Or just listen to the weight loss and work out tips and get help. OR ignore the comedy that you dont understand. Hope this helps you.. GOD BLESS. Ryan is Great..love him!
carnivore for the win! Getting a half of a cow this weekend.. Stopped drinking last week.. And will be hitting the gym next week.. Let's see how it works out this time around...
To you Ryan may not be funny, that’s your opinion, but his one liners and dark humor is funny to others, don’t like it, don’t watch, really think he wouldn’t give 2 rats shits if you did or didn’t, I do think his humor he puts in with his good content of getting into the shape you are trying for is outstanding and funny!!! Like it’s been said “Why so serious?”
And I have to say you call the Spades of Spades you were calling out all the BS excuses I have been hearing over half my life in and out of the gym thank you man......
I have watched some of your videos, and just wanted to comment on the diabetic part. My 9 year old daughter is a type 1 diabetic...has been for 2.5 years. Crystal Light and other drink flavors like it are actually no sugar no carb. Unfortunately she has to have this type of stuff just to have flavor in her drinks and it has no effect on her blood sugar numbers.
@@twinflamesundercoverthanks5274 an old rusty butter knife or something that is near the toilet that you cut your shits into smaller pieces pieces Get them to flush... lmao. Never had the problem.. just know about It for some strange reason.
If it's green it'll make you lean. I was taught the plate divide by 3, 1/2 protein, 1/4 fibre 1/4 fibre, hydrate with water and calorie deficit combined with giving 100% for 1 hour every other day hitting as many muscle groups as possible. Before injury my trainer was an ex Royal Marine PT for 30 years with a similar physique to Ryan, you've just got to decide how bad you want it
Spot on about the sweeteners and all that sh*t - that stuff messes you up; I don't care how many (industry funded) studies say they're safe! But come on, fruits and vegetables?? I'm vegan too and I literally eat about 20 of my '5 a day'. I can gain weight or shred down to single digit body fat without altering my fruit and veg intake at all - you would need to be on an insanely low-calorie diet not to be able to fit them in!
For those confused about the fruit and veggie statement, he didn't say don't eat them. He said you can eat too many of them and be in a caloric surplus. He explains that in the description as well. Also, in a previous video, he stated that he does consume a lot of protein shakes. So, he balances it all out.
I actually think that’s bullshit tbh. You would eat enough vegetables to a point where your throwing up before I think you would eat enough to cause a caloric surplus. Oh course my statements only applys to veggies. Fruit is kinda calorie dense at the end of the day.
Whole veggies and whole fruit, ....have fiber, that slows down digestion, ..(.preventing insulin spikes)......overeating is always a problem as well as lack of exercise.......small portions are a good practice. ....you can eat a slice of apple and a couple of grapes,....several times a day....if you happen to find yourself at MacDonalds,......think about a kids meal with no bread, no salt, and ice tea.
Crystal light and olive oil are my last two bad items in my intake. Dammit man. I’m 11 weeks into weight loss since I found your channel. I was 375lbs and could bench 275 for one and yesterday I weighed 335lbs and put up 335.
Nothing wrong with olive oil in moderation. If you're going through a bottle a week, that's too much. If you're using a bottle in 4-6 weeks, you're fine. It's not magic, it won't make you lose weight or clear blockages out of your heart, but as something to add flavor to in a high protein/high fiber diet, there are few things that have as much bang for your calorie buck.
@@roebuckmckinney Where's the evidence it won't clear blockages out of your heart? I use it for many benefits, one of which is to keep things moving in the intestines.
If you followed every video telling you what not to eat, you couldn't eat anything. Food has calories. Find out how many calories you should eat to lose weight. Eat that many and choose more satisfying foods.
This guy knows what's up! Yeah Ryan is fun and all but not drinking 0 calorie drinks when trying to watch your weight, big mistake. I did laugh my ass off in this video though.
calories in calories out....find ur maintaince level and be consistent! Even if u add another 200 calories of fruits & veggies will get stored into fat BUT u will get the nutrients that your body needs.
100% pure calories. I only make sure that I get my protein. The rest is less strict. Sometimes pizza, sometimes broccoli. I check the total amount of calories and done.
I'll never forget the day my parents had a go at me how they're healthier because they get more nutrients in. "Of course you fucking do, you're 3x my bodyweight and gaining, I'm recovering from surgery so just getting up to take a shit and you've expended more energy than I do in a whole day. You'd have to actively try to get less nutrients in, this is not a challenge btw." Though total respect for them being 100% fine with such comments nowadays, they shame me, I shame them, my brother shames himself and we all get a good laugh in the end.
61 years old 5'10 210lbs and only eat maybe 4 bananas every 2 weeks . No fruit juice or hardly ever any fruit. And I workout 6 days a week with weights outside in the hot Florida heat. And I've been doing this for years . So actually fruit is overblown. Especially orange juice, 30 years in Florida and I never drink orange juice. You can go on line and look around and find out that most vegetables are about useless too.
hahahaa damn. this right here had me rollin. anyway, i quit drinking and started to mtb, lost a crap load of weight. went from nearly 280 to 209 at my lowest. lately been hovering around 220 and gettin back on a healthy routine to improve overall health and well being. just subbed!
