It’s been about 3 years since I’ve covered a song from 3 Gatsu No Lion. It’s got such a wonderful soundtrack, and this time I’ve decided to cover Like The Wind. I believe this song is from the 2nd season of the show, and to me, it’s the perfect song for Rei and Hina’s relationship. Hina unknowingly saving Rei’s life from the natural goodness of her heart, and Rei’s determination to return the favor. It’s a pivotal moment in the show as Rei begins to understand what it’s like for the first time in his life to live for someone else and put their needs above his own. What can I say, it’s just beautiful.
Just like my previous cover, I decided to play this one by ear. The time it took to transcribe and arrange this song was shorter than the previous song I covered, but it was by no means easy, haha. Regardless, I’m happy with the result, so here it is for you to listen to :)
When I close my eyes, I can imagine the wind rushing through my hair and the cool breeze that it brings. I think I’m a sucker for songs with wind in the title, haha.
