Thanks so much for those hacks To sum up 1 record yourself so that you can give yourself accurate and fair feedback 2 improving comprehension try to look for the meaning in the source language before interpreting it to the other language 3 you are not interpreting word to word but you are interpreting meaning May I add that you must have well knowledge of both languages You have to be a very attentive listener You also have to be well focused ....
I don't know what's going on with me. I used to be a very good simultaneous interpreter. I could interpret for hours, I used to get so many compliments about my performance. Now, I can't keep up with the speaker. So frustrating.
It happens. Maybe you just need a break or a change for a few months❤ also, maybe its a vitamin difficiency or something like that! so do a check up if you can. Goodluck 💜
Thank you so much. I'm still improving my language skills and my comprehension. It's going quite well, I just want to get to the 99% accuracy when listening. This definetely helps me. Mil gracias.
Any advice on how to improve my listening comprehension? I can do translation (on paper), but I don't have the confidence to interpret yet. Only getting a 25 on my HSK 6's listening section didn't help with that. I can do ZH-EN translation though.
I don't know if it's too late to reply this comment, but one thing that actually helped me a lot with the improving of my listening comprehension was: watch videos and movies in English with English subtitles, listening to podcasts, and hear a lot of different accents in English to get used to them so I wouldn't struggle with words pronounced in different ways!
@@Beliarvs yeah, same problem with me I'm a English-Hindi translator and now stepping in the world pf interpretation but I struggle to understand different accent of English
The people who make demands on you are not experts in language and communication. They should be respected, and taught about what your job is. They make life altering judgments based on the words they are hearing and if you do it verbatim, the results may sound incoherent and not representative of the ideas and character of the speaker. Don't let them bully you!
