Never imagined that these videos would be the start of a multi million dollar business. ANYBODY can do it and I want to show you how in my Free 1 Hour Training: lostcreatoracademy.com/freetraining
The sport kick volleyball, it's called sepak takraw. You can find that in South East Asia. For example in Thailnd, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Laos and Malaysia. Even in China and India and I guess more countries to, but I think Thailand is one of the biggest in this sport!
I met you the other day at whitespot yvr airport (jan 3) I was your hostest. I wanted to take a picture with you but I didn't want to disturb you guys, thanks for being so humble and kind in person! It was nice to meet you :) ♥️
I’ve been binging all of your videos for three days and I just want to say that you’ve improved your videos so much. Also they make me feel so happy with all the tropical, beautiful scenery.
Okay, I've been watching your videos for about 5 months now to test the waters on likability, and I can officially say you're one of my Top 5 Travel RU-vidrs! Your content is thorough and well produced, and I also love how you sneak humour in (lmao @ confirming JT didn't spend time in US jail). I myself am looking to start my Digital Nomad journey in October of this year and I'm pretty risk-adverse, so a ton of research is mandatory. Your videos have helped A LOT! I have one question for you - if you could choose only ONE camera, ONE mic, and ONE tripod/stable stick thing that holds your camera up while you vlog, what would it be? I don't want to spend too much, but definitely want to document my experiences. Thanks in advance and keep the vids coming :)
Hey Danica!! Thank you :) really appreciate that. So it’s hard to say without knowing your needs but an amazing affordable story telling set up would be a Canon 70D with a video mic mini and a cheap wide lens (one that doesn’t make loud noises when using AF). Hope that helps :)
Just, wow!!!!!!! Your videos after your change in format are f$&@ing fire 🔥 not that they weren’t before but I’m really enjoying the diversity, laughs, storytelling, and how they flow. This one in particular was quite inspiring! Thanks for your work ☺️
It's those vlog-style moments like when your food arrived at the hotel during your commentary that separates your guides from everyone else. Love your content, brotha. Good luck in the new year.
I had similar experience like JT. I drove Uber for 2 years just to meet great people and stories. I met so many cool positive people I ended up making friends with 32 countries in the world. I went to Australia and stayed with a friend this year and going to South Korea and possibly UK and gonna stay with friends I met while driving Uber too next year.
I've worked in 4 different hostels in various countries in Europe and New Zealand. But I got paid because I was doing reception work. It helps to get a Working Holiday Visa before leaving but it's not always necessary. Depending on the country these are usually for 18 to 35 year olds only. Otherwise there's also cleaning jobs in exchange for free accommodation.
Huh i expect it tobe harder in europe,or almost impossible in western european countries idk why.. Still its cool that u shared that, its acool tip and works anywhere in the world
@@djordjerasic7482 I spent over 3 years backpacking in Europe and 2 years in Australia/New Zealand. Most hostels have some backpackers working there. Either in exchange for free accommodation or paid positions. In Southeast Asia I didn't stay in many hostels because hotels are so cheap. So maybe you are right. But salaries in those countries are so cheap that I don't see much benefit for them to hire a foreigner illegally that will only stay short term. However I could be completely wrong.
@@AlbiDoo no no you are right. I just didnt expect hostels to hire people illegaly like that in more developed countries. I may have that point of view bcs i come from a not so developed country- serbia. Btw you should visit its amazing here
I really hope I can be able to travel like this one day, you're an inspiration Christian! I've been watching you for 2 years now and your content never stops getting better! Thank you for these 3 tips. I also really enjoy the little comedic bits you add in now, it really adds to the videos and they always give me a laugh! Thanks for another great video
The amount of content you put out is extraordinary. It honestly doesn’t seem like you would have enough time to do all the travel necessary to make these awesome vids.
The trick is to build up a library of your own content from previous trips so you can use it as b-roll in future videos as opposed to shooting brand new footage for every video
WOW Christian! Another👌🏼video! Muy bueno! A truly inspiring way of showing us amazing places. So much that I also decided to try out this of making videos... 😬 I still have a lot to learn but thanks for being there! 👍🏼
Love Koh Tao. My lady and I worked at Ban's 2017-2018. That's our friend Angelo singing with his band NAP at 14:01 in the video. Pretty hard to beat the vibe at Fishbowl. Great video! Keep them coming.
Such a great video as always Christian! Your videos are so incredibly informative and fun to watch, it's really helpful and I'm blown away every single time by how much effort goes into these videos! I'd love to visit Thailand this year :D
This is one of your best videos in a long long time. Well done mate. Keep up this sort of awesome work. Not sure why this one was so good, but it was. It was an old school style Christian video. Loved it.
Hi Christian! I just started watching your channel a few months ago and I’ve enjoyed it very much. I’ve heard you talk about your first videos about four years ago. And decided to take a look at some of them. Well you have made such a gigantic leap from those first vlogs. You looked like a baby then. And your work has grown so much. I am just starting to learn about photography and filmography and hope to aspire to the level you have achieved some day. As a middle aged woman. Who has decided to change directions in life you are an awesome inspiration. Thanks for all you do and give to your audience. I hope one day I will be able to get lost with you. 💃🏾
Thanks Kim. It’s been a big growth journey for me. Used to have no idea what I was doing but it worked out better than I’d ever imagined. 😄🙏🏼 wish you all the best on your journey
I'm going to Thailand soon and I can't wait to try using these hacks.. Been following your channel heavily the past month and absolutely love it and it's inspiring me to branch out and try new videos out for my channel come the trip.
We love that never-ending summer. Very useful travel hacks indeed. We will save this video for our reference. We will resume our travel when things go back to normal.
I have worked/volunteered for quite a few times while travelling long term. That one your friend talked about in Nicaragua sounds like the best deal on earth! CS is also soooo awesome! Super, you got on it! :D
I actually just recently learnt about work trade in hostels and I decided to pack a bag and head to Hawaii for a couple months. I can’t wait to document it all, great video :)
P’Oys is the GOAT restaurant on Koh Tao!! I would always go there during my 2 month dive master course on the island... This video made me super nostalgic, can’t wait to go back to Koh Tao this year
@@lostleblanc I've done both surfing and hosting, have to say both are very different but you meet fantastic people, some of who became my close friends. People on CS inspire me to be more selfless and more giving ❤️ enjoy your time in Yukon, love your videos! Ps. The free diving scenes were out of this world!!! 😍
Another great way to save money while travelling is house & pet sitting. We have been travelling for over 2 1/2 years now, while staying in beautiful places. A great way to explore the area while working on your laptop at the houses you take care off. All utilities are paid for and even housekeepers & gardeners in most cases. No sharing rooms, working for your stay or paying for accommodations. 😊👍
Ahh im literally in Chiang Mai right now and there is a tournament for that volley ball foot sport thing, and i've been captivated by it! I go there every night to watch!
Parker and Jackie ❤ this video has some great tips. I'm getting ready to go to thailand at the end of the year. My big dream is to see the lantern festival. I can not wait! I really thank the guys from Highonlife for inspiring me and not being afraid to explore this world and realize my dreams! #holinspired #highonlife
Yo christian i am watching you since ages. In the last couple of months I didnt watch you very often but this video is awesome! Loving the backpacking content :)
I worked in a hostel in Australia for 6 months, 3 nights a week taking backpackers into town and partying for free 😅 for accommodation and food. Was a great experience! I imagine it would be a lot harder in SE Asia, but a lot of great advice right before our 2019 trip there - so thanks! 😊
I really think this video will help me, I plan on travelling to Koh Tao in January and staying for a few months so I hope your tips can help me find a job and I would love to meet up with JT he seems like a really cool guy!
I lived in Thailand for four years, ran a surf school in Phuket under the table,,,I don’t recommend you do that hehe. My hack for saving bucks is buy fruit from the local markets,,it’s cheap, delicious and keeps you hydrated with electrolytes,,also dried fish as a snack is cheap and doesn’t go bad. If your in spot more than a few weeks, sprout some microgreens and eat those for cents. Cheers from Australia Marty’
I met my now husband through Couchsurfing. Before I met him, I used Couchsurfing to save money when traveling abroad. As a solo female traveler, I can attest that it is safe just as long as you read the referrals first. I was living in Singapore when I hosted travelers too. Either to just show them around or let them sleep in our couch for free. Some cities also have groups of Couchsurfers and you just meet every week to do different activities or just hang out. My Spanish husband traveled in Southeast Asia and we let him stay in our couch back in 2016. He became my boyfriend in 2017 and together we were traveling the world. No more solo travelers. Haha! We don't use Couchsurfing anymore because now we can split the price of hotels. Haha!
Great videos! :-P Just a quick kamera question. How do you do to have best focus when you filming yourself and around? Manuel focus on the objective? Thanks!!
I am so happy you did another video in Thailand, I'm going there in February and I literally watch everything I can about Thailand haha. my only problem is drone - did you register it there? or online?
Dude!!! That drone shot while you were on John Suwan view point. That was my friends and I. I remember we were looking at it and it was flying around us and we were dancing all funny.
Great video - thanks for sharing - love the travel tips. We have a steri pen and love it - also saves plastic bottles. Work away and HELP x are great ways of volunteering. Never tried coach surfing but sounds like a great way of meeting local people - we're heading off to Central America end of Jan for 5 months and we are going to give it a go now - thanks - Chris & Marianne 😃🌴
YO man you literally give us inspiration on travel vlogs. We're editing our clips from london and ireland from this summer and we come to watch your channel to get inspiration. #Canadianinspiration
LWL - Live With Love, Travel With Passion any chance anyone wants to check out my new yet channel would love any feedback new video coming tomorrow, peace
tip No.1 - travel to Thailand. It's a destination for people who can't really afford to travel. Not only Bangkok has one of the cheapest airports, food is basically free and you can find double room with private bathroom for as little as 11 EUR per night. Similar destinations are Bali, China, tiny bit more expensive Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey, S. Korea and Vietnam. Also I did find Spain pretty budget friendly if you stay away from big cities. I'm pretty sure Caribbean Sea and South America is cheap, tho haven't been there yet. As for tip No.1 no, earn money where you are and go relax and enjoy your stay. No.2 please be sure, otherwise you can be crashing on the street. And No.3 if it's not a significant difference in price, which can save you from sleeping in the airport (it's not as cool as it sounds, I've done it before, trust me) take it. Don't hesitate to pay little more for convenience, you won't regret. If you sleep on a ferry/train/airplane totally OK. Good luck everyone and travel the world.
That sport called "sepak takraw", and you said that you only seen them in Thailand. But, actually its originally from Indonesia and Malaysia.... Sepak means "kick" and takraw is the balls names
AHhhh I'm in Koh Tao RN! Sairee Cottage Resort to be exact. What were the restaurants you ate at here? We're trying to venture out and try something other than what they have along the beach side here
Very cool way to collab w/ a sponsor. This video is full of wisdom and value, much like all your content though, great to see that you're getting $$ for your hard work. Appreciate it legend
Really super cool video and value! Just keep moving forward and never give up 💪🏻 Happy New Year 2019 wishing you have a lots of success in this year bro!🎆🍀
Great video and great suggestions! Though I was just wondering - don't you need a visa permitting to work to get a job at a hostel for all different countries you go to? How does it work out?
Great video again! Don’t know if we could couch surf with our kids. My wife and I would do it for sure on our own though. Your buddy wouldn’t like our children running and screaming all the time either lol. 👍
Lost LeBlanc ask him if he’ll just take the kids. Wouldn’t mind a free babysitter and then we’ll get another place. The kids also asked if you would take them around and do stuff with them. Guess they like you.😉😉😆
Hi Christian, What's the name of the place of the accomodation you are staying at in Koh Samui beginning of the video? Really enjoyed watching your videos for my upcoming asia trip Cheers
