He does have another son but he changed his name and him and his wife did live in New Mexico.... My grandpa was really good friend with the sheriff at the time and he said that it was the worse thing he had every seen.... My cousin was the woman he set and talked to after he killed and injured all those people and waited for the police.... This year on Christmas on Pine Ridge road we had another tragedy where my next door neighbor from 10 years ago killed her mother and her 3 children and then herself..... This is absolutely heartbreaking..... It's such a tragedy that this happens any where.....

Earlier in his life he was supposed to get married but took off the day before after cleaning out his and his fiancées joint bank account. When the fiancée finally saw him again she decided not to pursue actions against him because he was making her nervous. The son he had? Almost drowned when he was a toddler in a pool while Pardo was supposed to be watching him. After Pardo realized he was going to be handicapped, not just physically but mentally because of this, he never saw his son again, refused to pay child support but still claimed him as a dependent on his tax returns. The mother let it go because she, too, was afraid of him. The guy was just an out and out narcissistic jerk.

You’ve now told 2 stories from Arkansas. The Simmons case is the largest mass murder in Arkansas history, yet I only learned of it recently, as I stumbled upon it while googling another case. This story shocked, horrified, and fascinated me. But surprisingly, when I tried to look further into it, I found very few resources covering this case. And when I asked people who were around in 1987, what they remembered, not a single one could even recall hearing about these murders. The first Arkansas story you told took place in Rogers, just north of my hometown. It was a lady who was randomly murdered on Halloween as she handed out candy. I had never even heard of that story until watching your video, even though it happened just a few miles away. Thank you so much for telling these stories!
I remember the Ronald Gene Simmons case. It ran for MONTHS on NW Arkansas news channels. I remember they showed very graphic footage of the crime scene. (GET OUT! written in blood on a wall). I don't remember hearing the Halloween murder that occurred in Rogers (that was 30 minutes away).
I remember it very well, they lived on Broomfield RD 6 miles north of Dover....no one knew anything had happened there until after his rampage in Russellville and arrest. After his kids did not show up for school they decided to do a welfare check and discover the bodies in the trailer. then later learned that there were more in a cesspit in the back.

The guy barely acknowledged his wife let alone her son. He did absolutely nothing to help raise the kid, and when she got fed up with a deadbeat husband living in a different country, not working towards their relationship, she asked for divorce. The Simmons lived in a tiny town called Ward AR for a little while also, down the street from my childhood home. My sister and Loretta were friends. My Mom would allow the girls to come over to our house, but we couldn't step foot into theirs. A mother's instinct is amazing.

In the first one, the three year old boy gave the killer batteries that had come out of the phone after it was thrown and tried to had it to his killer. That just shows you how young he was and innocent. He hadn’t even realized that this man is dangerous. jennifer gulley I just started listening to a podcast called 'Sword and Scale' and there was a whole episode about the girl and boyfriend killing her family. It was actually much worse than told here. For example, the children's mother Erica begged them not to kill her children. She had time to get them in a corner and tried to cover them. The boyfriend didn't want to do it and the girlfriend (the kids own aunt said to "do it"). Horrible, horrible stuff. What I like about that podcast is he plays the 911 calls, some of the interviews, court proceedings, etc. I watch and read a lot of true crime stuff and he has picked cases I've never heard before.
jennifer gulley me too. I started as a teenager reading Ann Rule and now as an adult I love the Investigation Discovery Channel. I don't know what it is about true crime that I love. I guess it is a little bit of everything. I've learned a lot watching the shows, about my safety, the forensics totally fascinate me and all the stuff they can do with DNA. That new thing where they can make a sketch of what someone looks like based on DNA alone is unbelievable. The justice, or even the injustice of some cases that anger me. The humbleness of so many victims and their willingness to forgive. My daughter works in Healthcare and she likes it as much as I do and because of these shows she wants to be a medical examiner. Let me know what you think of 'Sword and Scale' if you get it. I just started so I've only listened to about 50 episodes but I can recommend some episodes that you wouldn't believe you've never heard about.

I read the book based on this family years ago. I don't remember if he'd been in war but he was a sicko who beat his wife and raped his own daughter for years. I believe the book is called, Zero at The Bone.
One of my previous roommates was part of the Ortega family. Very nice guy. It was so tragic that his parents were taken away from him. It’s not mentioned, but many of the family members who escaped had gun shot wounds that they survived from. My friend was shot in the hand. His sister was the one shot in the face and luckily there was no disfigurement after many surgeries.
Just a suggestion, but I think you should put the sponsored content at the very start of the video. You could say something like "Welcome to Criminally Listed. This week's video is sponsored by ..." then play the starting intro with the creepy music. I say this because putting the sponsored msg in the middle of your regular intro with the creepy music and then restarting the music & spooky imagery sort of takes the viewer out of the anticipation that they're about to see something creepy, disturbing & frightening. It's the view count that matters. Right now, he only has 27,000 views on the video (at the time of writing this post). That's basically nothing. Adsense & the mobile game company he's advertising for pay him in CPM, which equates to cost per thousand views. CL gets hundreds of emails a week from marketers who want him to put some kind of ad for something on his videos. He may get companies like those Lootboxes you see everyone opening, or dozens of other things (check the video I posted below for the full details on how this works). Because his content is death and murder, he probably doesn't get the best offers for advertisers who are willing to pay him a decent amount to sponsored ads for their product on his videos. He also has to look at the stats of who is watching his videos and decide if the demographic of how many men, women, their age group, if they've been to school, their household income, etc. fits and pick an advertiser that he THINKS his viewers might be interested in whatever he's going to be sponsoring. They just want to use the system RU-vid put in place, but then RU-vid completely screwed up with their algorithm MULTIPLE times. But here's what I don't do.
