@zadose unfortunately I know what that is like too. Idk. I guess if I was forced to decide between the two, I'd rather be held prisoner and tortured again than feal that sort of fear for my mom. That was true hell. My rapists and attackers fucked me up pretty bad but I have been able to take my power back from them. It changed me, but didn't break me. The topic of my mother is utter kryptonite to me. I am completely defenseless against those memories, and the pain of this loss. And it will be 15 years this July, since she went missing. On September 8 th it will be 15 years since her body was found by elk hunters.

@ElleW18

It makes me mad. I understand that officers/time/resources are limited but why don’t you have some people work on one theory, others on another, etc. especially if you are just not finding the hard evidence you need for one of the theories. It’s still worth exploring the one that you’re leaning towards but if you’re at a stalemate, you HAVE to branch out to other scenarios and possible suspects.
@kari7403
@kari7403 5 лет назад
Especially when they go so far as to falsify evidence or testimonies. Just so they can make sure the guy who they "know" is guilty, gets locked up. Then a year or 2 after the guy is executed, they figure out the real killer, or the real killer turns themselves in. Then, even though they are pretty much responsible for an innocent man's death, they aren't charged with murder. At worst, they are fired. Kinda BS really.

Yes tunnel vision is bad but that’s not what happened If you are referring to case #1 heather Teague. It was frustrating to watch the heather Teague case because it went on and on when it didn’t have to. Dill was released weeks before murder plenty of time to grow beard. Dill killed himself, there are autopsy and crime scene photos which likely show him with beard. Furthermore the bronco was purposely hidden. Lastly he had a record of harassing young women. What is most likely the case here is that he has links to sex trafficking, snuff films, satanic ritual sacrifice or all 3 three. He knew that if he was caught there would be more bodies found or he would be charged with more. Also explains why his wife pleaded the 5th for every question she was asked by the grand jury, she likely knew about his activities. One more tidbit is that when Heathers mother was doing her own search for body she came across goat bones in the basement of an abandoned house in the area. This is indicative of satanic or occult ritual sacrifice taking place in the area. This is the kind of shit that never gets investigated.

It is depressing, but too often too true. As a side note, not that anyone cares about my opinion, but I link a lot of modern police incompetence on the heavy dependency of DNA evidence. @nsalerno91
@nsalerno91 5 лет назад
Case #2 isn’t really in the police. They had no bodies or physical evidence to go off of. They even tried to follow up on the cold cases. The Police weren’t the corrupt system here, it was more that Randal most likely had great resources and connections to get away with what he did. If he is the murderer. Same as the mob. Cops have a difficult time with murders committed by the mob, party due to corruption, but also because of the mobs ability to leave no traces. Seems like Randal didn’t leave any traces. The first case, was a simple case.of a bad detective getting tunnel vision. He bent the narrative at the first lead he had to support his case. It was absolutely suspicious that Mistys Dad took the boat out and didn’t tell them. So the detective just went with that and didn’t bother following up on other leads.

The first story was hard to watch. So many synchronicities to my mom's story. Her name was also mistie, and hearing you talk about her being missing is kind of triggering because my mom went missing and eventually her body was found. There was weirdness, misleading and unreliable information. Very questionable actions, cops that mishandled the investigation and didn't listen to me when I pointed out the inconsistencies and our suspicions. As a result, the person who was responsible was not held accountable, and we her children are left with wondering. Imagining and fearing the worst things possible being what your loved one endured. The cops basically judged her as irrelevant. She didn't matter. She went back to him, so anything that came of it was just desserts, was the attitude. She was a waste of their precious time and efforts. A disposable person.

Other info I’ve heard regarding Mistie Murray-numerous (like 10+) people stated seeing her in early June. I believe a number of these witnesses were her classmates so their reportings are very credible to me. There also apparently was a report that a group of homeless people knew of a young gal resembling Mistie and they said she gave her name as Jean Marie. This was actually part of Mistie’s original birth name, but this fact had never been divulged to the public. Gives me chills. I think she got caught up with a bad crowd. I believe in Steve’s innocence and I do not believe she was murdered, at least not when she initially went missing. I hope she’s alive and well and maybe was just too ashamed to come home even after all this time. But I’m not sure how likely I find that to be, sadly. I think life on the streets probably got to her ☹️
@suiteypies
@suiteypies 5 лет назад
I have a problem with this theory that she ran away. If she was going to run away why not take the 200 dollars that she had saved up to travel to see her mother's parents? This fact alone raises red flags for me. If she had the foresight of needing money then, why wouldn't she have the foresight of needing money if she had run away?
@ElleW18
@ElleW18 5 лет назад
@@suiteypies very fair point and i thought of that as well. but maybe she hadn't planned on being away for very long and things just kind of spiraled out of control very quickly. The sightings and "Jean Marie" thing are very suspect to me. Particularly the sightings since the classmates had see her more or less every day while they were in school together so they'd be very familiar with her face, mannerisms, gait, etc. and less likely to mistake someone else for her.

I agree and I think it is likely Misty may have even taken her own life. A subtle yet strong clue was seeing the school nurse a couple of days before her trip, yet she didn't report feeling sick according to this story. I think she was pregnant and probably from her ex boyfriend. I think she probably didn't see a way out and didn't know how to tell her parents, probably ashamed, desperate and high anxiety. Another strong clue is she had a final letter, which reads like a good bye without mentioning suicide. She probably got an abortion, was psychologically and spiritually damaged from that and just went on with life not knowing which direction to go and couldn't face her adopted parents. She most likely took her own life or was murdered, but thinking more she took her own life in a way she wouldn't be found because this situation overwhelmed her.

I think Criminally Listed is the only crime channel that I will watch unsolved cases on. I usually tend to avoid all of the unsolved murder cases. They are just too damn sad and frustrating. It drives me nuts, and I don't even know the victims. I can only imagine what the victims loved ones feel like, and have gone through in those cold cases. But Criminally Listed does such an amazing job on his videos. I cant help but watch all of his videos. Even the unsolved disappearance ones.

I agree! The Unsolved cases are the hardest to watch because of how frustrating they are...and too often they feel incomplete and not very well researched, over all. Criminally Listed (and others like Rachel Shannon) do a great job presenting all the info possible and telling us about the victims as people. I also feel that unsolved cases are the most important ones to watch if we want to make a difference, so presenting them in the *right way* is a very important thing.

I now live right outside Knoxville Tn but I'm from Ky. The county I lived in is as corrupt as the day is long. I heard my entire life about how two cops who were brothers murdered another cop. The one to find the murdered cop was one of the brothers and he had been having an affair with the murdered cops wife. A 65 year old retired officer confirmed this story to me just 3-4 years ago. Like I said, I had heard it my whole life but to have another officer(who was the murdered cops good friend), tell me it was true and give me further details, was just creepy. Those two brother officers were also said to have killed another man as well. They definitely had lots of power in our town I do know that! Also, I can recall being at a party and it was at the home of the daughter to one of those brothers. She was WILD and would drive drunk and high everyday. At the party that night, she had gotten pulled over on the way back home from buying drugs and we could see the lights of the cruiser from her house. When she pulled back up to her house, she told us how she had just been pulled over drunk and how she cursed and spit on the officer but once she told him who she was, he let her go. I know that she was being truthful because we all saw the lights and then once the lights were gone she showed back up right afterward. Besides, it was already known around town that she could do whatever she wanted to because her dad and uncle were cops and they were pretty much in charge of everything in town. Then, the county 10 miles south of me had lots of corruption. The sheriff had a barber shop and for years he had been confiscating people's guns from them and not returning them and he was actually selling all those guns out of his barber shop. There's more to that story but I can't recall all of it. Then, another town close to me, Clay county Kentucky, is known to be corrupt by everyone! Lots of poverty and drugs. There was found to be vote buying and their judge resigned along with the school superintendent and like 6-7 other politicians. I can go on and on about how corrupts Ky is. However, maybe all towns are this way? I just feel like the politicians within the town I live now, aren't so dishonest. I could be clueless though since I've only lived here six years. I suppose I don't know everyone like I did in Ky and therefore haven't heard all the juicy gossip like I did in Ky.
