You’re the reason I went to Greece the first time. I’m going back in September…if you’re still there we’ll buy you dinner. 😁 The whole place is exactly the way it is conveyed in your videos. ❤️
Yay you made it to my favourite beach in Greece Voutoumi Bay what a hike you know the boat stops at both beaches and picks you up and you ate at my favourite Restaurant La Vista Julian and his sister and mum great family incredible food 🥰
Perfect video !!! Antipaxi island and this beach Voutoumi ! Just amazing ! Great exploration dear Gabriel ! Love your work my friend ! Take care and stay safe !
Surely the most beautiful beaches, I had to watch to the very end to make sure you made it back. This was a very suspense filled video for me, I was stressing while you were lost!! I should have known you would make it back………….our experienced world traveler. That swim at the end must have been the best…………that water………….so blue and like glass!!!
I also wanted to mention that I’ve noticed the landscape on many of the northern Greek isles closer to the mainland like corfu and paxos seem to have alot more green foliage and fauna rather than the more arid-desert landscape you see on isles like nisyros and tilos.
but GABRIEL!!...This is why you love travel!!! We should all get lost as often as possible ! You will always remember this day. Great vid, Gabe... Take care!
@@nebojsa1976 Actually there are 6 poisonous varieties of snakes in Greece. In that particular area one can meet the Vipera Ammodytes or Nose Horned Viper. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vipera-ammodytes-ruffoi-weiblich.jpg
Nice video Gabriel! Paxos and Antipaxos seem pretty nice chilly islands! loved the color of the water and little restaurants markets. Plus green next to water..
again your video is cheering me up because like last year we can't go to greece, one of us is too young to get vaccinated and we don't take a risk. so your video again makes me happy.
Lol def not laughing at you Gabe I just love your energy and positivity even when getting lost the way you did! Gabe; “So I am just full in bushwhacking it now. I don’t know what the heck happened!” Lol!!!! You made it a very funny but of course very beautifully filmed vlog as well!
Something similar happened to me today on the greek island Aegina. 😅 After visiting the temple of aphaia I thought I'll do a short cut back to Agia Marina...took me quite a while to find my way back to where I wanted to go
I love your video, it's inspiring, beautiful and put me in a good mood. Your video has the effect of igniting the wanderlust inside us, inspiring us, and encouraging us to start doing something new with our lives. That is why I decided to write this..........
I dont know if you'll ever see this but since you are in the Ionian, there is a little small island called Kalamos near Lefkada that is definately worth the visit. You should for sure visit if you have the time for it. very cheap as well.
Million thanks Gabriel for these beautiful videos this is SAMUEL from PAKISTAN dear young, May Lord God Almighty bless you with sound health and wealth so May you keep making these VIDEOS.
Smashing !! Such beautiful colours !! But, oh boy, I was soooo worried that you could not find the right trail in time !! Wherever you might be, Gabriel, have a blessed 4th July 🙏
These Ionian islands are so green compared to the Cyclades.. do you prefer the Ionian beaches and water Gabriel? Voutoumi looked incredible. What would you say your #1 beach is in Greece so far? Keep the amazing videos up.
What a great adventure, must have been great sitting by the beach eating 7 days Pizzeti after walking such a dangerous road! Great video as always Gabriel; can't wait to buy your Travel Book so I can learn the skills to travel the Meditteranean once I am in my 20s.
I enjoy watching your greek island videos since I cant make it there this summer..next time i along with my family go to my island you should visit and we can show you around our many beautiful beaches with pebb6and sand and all the beaches you need to take a boat to!
Yeah need ta spend more time on the beech and in the water! But maybe you do and we don't know hahaha....And it's okay to get lost- in the daytime!! LOL Cheers Gabe!!
It is hard to recognize the route as they all look the same. Next time, you had better tie some colored ribbons on the branches along your route especially at the junction . So when you turn back, you trace back those colored ribbons. Bring yellow ribbons with you. On your reversing the route, you can take back the yellow ribbons and save for the next use.
Hey Gabriel, what beautiful water they have around the Greek Islands, all you gotta do is stay on the road to save time and scratches. Lol I was wondering, do you scuba dive? I went to Australia a few years ago and scuba dove the Great Barrier Reef. It had been one of my goals when I first learned to dive. I can say it was one of my most enjoyable trips I have ever gone on. I can imagine there would be some beautiful places in the Greek Islands to scuba and probably all over the Mediterranean area too.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to see him Scuba Dive? I totally agree w u. The world under the ocean water is indescribable. Videos don't even get close to the in person beauty.
Don’t forget there haven’t been the huge amount of tourists using these trails and no doubt the locals may usually keep them trimmed back, but with no travel during Covid they are overgrown.
The boat will wait for you but it’s very easy to get lost on a beautiful Greek island, enjoy the fun...from July 15, 2021 new measures in Greece will be to have rapid test or self test a cost of €20 or less to go 2-3 before you go eat inside a restaurant !!!
Love the little adventure, but shirtless against spiky things and spiders etc. probably isn't the best idea haha. I've come out all scratched up and bitten in bushwacking situations even when wearing long sleeves and pants.
Amazing beaches, amazing waters, the boat trip looked so enjoyable !! Thank you for all those great views, in almost real time ... Have fun Gabriel !!!
It seems I end up in that same situation more times than not. I love exploring, so I'll follow any little trail, and always end up in the thick of it. Some kind of small hovercraft where you could just fly over all those rough areas, then hover closer to the ground in the open areas if you wanted to. You wouldn't need any trails or roads at all. Now that would be the way to explore an island or anywhere at all. I saw one of those on youtube a long time ago, and never heard anymore about it. The design must have been impractical.
Hi Gabriel, You went on the trail less traveled. In the future, you may need a drone to look over the landscape and great views. I don't remember if you have gone to the city of Marathon there are two significant historic things that happen one the battle of the Marathon and the birthplace of Marathon running. The battle is still studied at military schools as one of the most important battles of all time a small army of 300 Spartans defending a narrow path against thousands of Persians.
The 300 hundreds Spartans fought the battle of Thermopeele (Hot gates) against the Persians ten years after the battle of Marathon in which the Athenians fought against the Persians. The messager who run from the battlefield of Marathon to Athens (42 kilometers) to tell the victorious news was the first who did it, and till today this is the classic Athens Marathon thousands of athletes run every year . The Persians started three grate war campaigns against archeant Greeks and lost them all, but they didn't stop being a threat, that's why Philip 2nd of Macedon and his son Alexander the Great wanted to unite all Greek cities and make big military campaign against Persian empire which in the end had been concurred by Alexander.
I would do what u said Lorraine but we have to admit the video of us sitting on the beach ⛱might be a bit boring lol 😆😴😜 The first thought that came to me after reading your comment was... Why ask why...we know Gabe has to hike smile 😃 he seems to really enjoy working up an appetite and he seems to enjoy getting VERY hot before a refreshing swim 🏊♀️
That kind of pristine water is only 45 minutes from where I live in Izmir/Turkey and I am surfing the couch as a couch potato and watching your video. That adventure was hilarious :)
At least when they find the white weather bleached bones, the video bread crumbs will be beneficial to understand what happened & where it all went wrong. 😂😁 Just remember, most explorer finds were by accident also, you're in good company! 🤙 Enjoying Life One Port at a Time! ❤️
I looked at Google Maps, and that car, or one like it, is still there at the start of the trail near the beach. Looking at the map, the island is not that small. You seem to have explored just the northern part of it, right?
