honestly i like the telemon, not just the model which looks great but 24 shots str 6 ap-1 and dev wounds is just really handy to have aswell as being pretty tanky and having an extra gun with blast.

@@antoninjanku3358 id argue that theres a lot of sclupts that should be moved into plastic over the custodes dreads, which all look great and go together well (i have 3 smaller ones and a telemon) like the venatari were a pain to put together so id like to see them in plastic more or a spear upgrade sprue, and also forgeworld models tend to be better designed and look better then gw plastic's studio (altough that might also just be because that they have a less busy release schedule) if i were to convert more models into plastic for 40k I think more guard or eldar stuff should be moved into plastic due to the age of some of the kits. as for custodes, specifically we could do with more units just as a whole instead of resin to plastic, sisters are basically just 1 kit and 2 of our plastic vehicles are just space marine kits.

Y'know, really minor point, but I do really like the idea of T'au facial hair - and having more visible hair in general. Especially using it as a way to maybe differentiate the Farsight Enclave as a splinter group - allowing them to have a more grizzled futuristic Samurai look.

I'd argue its still good to be able to swap a crisis suit between forms. Plus, I mean, realistically, it's a good change. It lets you use loadouts that aren't just the objective best one, as the other loadouts dont get punished for its sins. And cyclic ion cannons were always going to vanish anyways, unless crisis suits got a new kit. 10th's philosophy of "Not in the kit, not in the unit" holds true.

Magnets are good for anything bigger than a marine. The exception is when I put a small magnet in the foot of an exhalted sorcerer and a magnet in the disc so i could have 2 units in 1 to switch.

As a person who have also sunk hundreds of hours into Total War, i would love a TW 40K episode. Should the map be planetary or like galactic sector? I think it might be a nice extra layer to conquer and manage several planets. Love the unhingedness of this episode

Hey Brad for a patriarch I highly recommend taking some scything talons from a tyrant kit and put it on the upper arm and the long arms on the lower arms section, then instead of it being hunched onto something have it stand up. I managed to get it done and it honestly looks really cool.

I hard disagree with the trimming the fat answer around the hour mark. The whole faction indentity of space marines pre primaris was they were tactically flexible, jack of all trades masters of none. Sure units were specialized but it a more generic specialization. Devastators were long ranged but could bring many different types of weapons for different targets, assaults could bring powered weapons and melta, tactical were this to the max of their guns really decided what roles they were. Primaris issue is they are just diet eldar when it comes to each unit. Eradicators are diet fire dragon, elimators are diet rangers, desolation squads are diet dark reapers, reavers are diet bhowling banshees/striking scorpions, intercessors are diet dire avengers etc. The space marines had an indentity previously but now they are just tougher eldar. Space marines were already the most generic faction but the jack of all trades was unique and gw thought let's just make them highly specialized units, just like eldar. Like I get disliking the older sculpts but the eldarifaction of the sm isn't the answer. Also fuck desolation squads, they are dumb looking.

Thank you, 100% this. I've been saying that Primaris has stolen Eldar's vibe for years. I also think that this has stunted the development of new Eldar range refresh. There's no reason for new players to play Eldar; that playstyle with new fresh models is available with Primaris. They even get the hover tanks.

A topic I don't see many people bringing up or asking is: bringing the anvil of apotheosis from AoS to 40k. What do you think about that? Competitively it sucks and is useless and isn't even allowed in tournaments, but narrative plays it would be great for custom space marine captains with custom kit-bash gear, or a tau firewarrior turned into a commander pretty much.

Always enjoy these vids. A few bits from me, thanks again for the airbrush vid as I'm definitely going to get one of the smaller ones for priming/base/mdf. I'm in a small apartment so I never felt it would work for me until seeing it. For the person having problems with color schemes. Agreed with the crew here, the 8th edition 40k codex has tons of GW color schemes of official subfactions. In addition to that, copy what we do in Blood Bowl, pull up a color chart of college + professional sportsball teams, pick a color (like blue, just something different than the bulk of what you've been painting) then that gives you a half dozen teams, pick a color of that team as a primary color, rest are secondary or accent then also add browns, black, metallic. Those crazy sports people spent a ton of $ for figuring out team colors; you can always do a test mini and/or repaint it later.

I forgot to ask about this idea in regards to the kitbash question, but for some context, my hobby store near me has something every 3 months called bits Bazar, where you can exchange money for bits, models or even entire factions. I got into kitbashing with my current work in progress space wolves list, and does any hobby store in your area do something similar to this? (The bits Bazar)

If I could change one rule, I'd rename Tank Shock to Massive Impact and let it be usable by both Monsters and Vehicles. That would mostly help Tyranids, but I'm sure there are some other factions that'd be happy about that. I don't really play Monster factions, but since my brother plays Tyranids, I'd be happy about anything that makes them better/more interesting.

Am I crazy of watching a 3 hour FAQ of these guys without ever playing a game of 40k or even planning to get an 40k army? And still enjoy my time, laughing out loud at times? I finally played my first games of Old World last week though after 25 years of just following Warhammer through videogames and media. Apparently the 1000pts Chaos Warrior list I scraped together was meta AF xD (I just picked stuff that seemed to synergize from the rulebooks).

Hello Brad and Eric, You may not read all comments, but I still want to express my appreciation to your contents. I’m a Taiwanese that played fantasy warhammer when I was 18 20 years ago. Last year when I tried to pick up the old habit again, I looked up RU-vid contents that introducing 40K to see if this game is still attracting to me. Sadly there is not much of video content in Chinese about warhammer, but somehow the RU-vid algorithm recommended your video alone with other channels like play on table top and table top tactics. In the beginning, those bigger channels do appeal to me better for the fancy video quality and battle reports, but at the end I found out that I enjoy your video much more. It’s not only that you guys talked about all aspect about this habit, but you guys do manage to let a none native English speaker like me to understand your content easily and enjoy your jokes. I went through all the videos that is in the play list and surprisingly very much enjoying the wide spectrum of content this channel had, from the painting tier list, to how to pick your secondary army(even I don’t had one at the time). I eventually selected generic space marine as the start point, as they are so vanilla but with everything you may want to try and a mediocre level painting difficulty, as you guys pointed out. I’m very glad I found this channel before I just randomly picked an army I may not really enjoy and quickly give up warhammer again. Finally, congratulations for reaching 100K subs, and I truly believe you guys will continue growing in an exponential speed.

Brad never got to play the heroic absurdity that was the Dark Eldar 5th edition Codex, did he? Jet bikes that killed tac squads in the movement phase, 3+ invul saves on all vehicles with the max speed jink. Living the dream of actually getting the huskblade/soul trap combo to actually work, and watching your Archon immediately level up into Maybe I can take the Deamon prince mode. Slowly walking Asdrubael Vect off of his dais, and charging him at Abaddon, watching your opponent break down in tears because Abaddon is supposed to be super strong in melee, and Vect is a frail old man. BLASTERBORN, venoms full of Kabalite trueborn with four blasters and a blast pistol. That's 12 shots of poison and five dark lances, in a single venom, wreaking havok. The pure unadulterated speed of the army. Chasing down Eldar units that had head starts. Baron Sarthonix. Lelith Hesperax in her most guard murdering form. Grotesques tanking wave serpents. Oh but the very best was looking at the shattered remains of your army at the end of the game, the giant pile of objectives and points you aquired, dropping your sunglasses onto your nose, giving your extremely confused opponent double finger guns, and walking away. It was the best, live fast in you gossamer crystal tanks, use more blade vanes, and 36" moves.

It'll probably die out in a few years. Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings has ben around for over five years now and is steadily growing, as a heads up. Infinity has been around for over 15 years, and has some decent amounts of players around the world, but it does depend heavily on the area.

I guess I'll defend Hit, Wound, Save? Save gets put last because it's easier to roll AND more dramatic for the defending player to have one final chance to "save" their model. "Save last" works best in games that don't expect EVERY model to make saves, IMO. Like Mordheim/Necromunda, where getting anything better than a 5+ is exorbitantly expensive, or Middle Earth SBG where saves are a limited heroes-only resource.
