Hey Ace! Long fan of the channel! A video series idea that I think would be super fun and interesting to watch would be, if you and your dad travel to places outside the US and learn fishing techniques from different countries and or people group and do a catch and cook style video!

We used to stick a small baitfish on a stick just stick it down its throat, dead bait ofc and lure them out with once thats done you put a big plastic bottle with some holes in the bottom and the narrow top part cut of and stick it down right behind them shake the stick and they escape right into the bottle. 👍 I dont know if your crawfish is different from the ones we have but ours survive longer without water than in a bucket with water unless you put oxygen into it. But if kept in water they will use the oxygen in the water and it will end quickly.

I live here in Oregon if you take the leftover crab butter and freeze it then the next time you do a crab boil add it to the boil kinda like you would a crawfish boil. Then after the boil add some of the boil liquid to a pan with some butter, small amount lemon juice, pinch of salt and lemon pepper and some minced garlic and reduce it to a sauce over medium heat. I like to strain it to get the garlic pieces out less is more the pieces can over power the bite. Bam garlic crab butter with a lemon citrus kick dipping sauce. Enjoy the crab with a ice cold Widmer Bros Hefeweizen beer.

Next time you do the baconbutter thing take a few coffee filters and a mason jar with you. If you take the lid insert out of the screw on part and lay a couple, sat two coffee filters over the jar opening then screw the lid down you can slowly pour the baconbutter over the filters and it will go through the fliters and keep all the chunks out of the baconbutter. Let the baconbutter pass through till it stops dripping then unscrew the lid and toss the filters and put the insert back in the lid and you will have clean baconbutter that you can put in a cooler/fridge when home for another day. Jist don't wait to long or the bacon grease can turn.

I've got to say you sound like maybe you're from the Carolinas and I've never seen anyone from the south not add a bunch of spice to there water to cook crab in. Good Fishing brother

I used to fish for Flounder in Kemma, TX at the spillway. We live shrimp I would cast shrimp at the yacht club just 9ver Baytown bridge. The Flounder would hit & I always gave the fish the time to come back for the 2nd attack and bang! Thid Momma caught all kinds of sealife.the fishermen would give me that look when I first strolled along the spillway.then fall all over themselves offering their nets when I would start hauling them in. My mouth water's remembered times feeding my family Flounder I caught. My X husband ( note I said X here. LOL) once tried to push my skinny butt in from of a slow approaching bull shark heading for his blubber butt. My kicking and screaming forced him to let me go, I upped my fresh caught keepers of trout with my shrimp and took off for shore. We were surf fishing at Texas City Dyke.i never allowed that man too close to me after that, he had to also listen when I told him I thought it was a shark fin and now a dolphin. I kiss salt water fishing. Too old and moved back up to east TX after I lost my soul mate to a heart attack.

A huge tip when frying pickles is to not use the same batter as the fish. The same batter is 100% fine its just the batter for the fish has added salt. I have learned not to salt a salty pickle You also can't really compare river trout to seatrout. Speckled trout should really be called speckled drum because its in the same drum family as redfish. A more accurate comparison would be the gaspergou

the part where your rod took off into the surf reminds me when I fish I use a stringer and wrap around the rod and reel and stake it into the ground so catfish won't pull my rod away LOL :)

Chanterelles will always be near trees as they are mycorrhizal fungi, but do not ever grow on trees. Jack o'lanterns grow from rotting wood. Usually they'll be attached to a tree or stump. Sometimes, the wood is buried so you can't see it.

When catching any fish, you might want to use any size gloves, I use them for trout to get a belt hold

You name it, we have it (as far as freshwater lakes go) BUT, I have to tell you one thing. The striper population in Lake Texoma NEVER needs stocking! It's naturally a slightly brackish lake (slightly salty) and so, it's one of the few fresh water reservoirs in the US that can support a natural striper population! Hope to see you here soon Ace! I would suggest getting a roller or padding for side of boat. That way you don't tear your ropes up

Man when I saw you grab those mushroom's my heart sank like I was watching a live stream lol, I was literally worried about you for a split second. Stay away from gilled mushrooms, especially little brown ones until you know a bunch about identifying. Chantarelles don't have gills and normally don't grow up the sides of tree's like that. Those look a lot like deadly galerina or funeral bells as they are called. You can do some serious damage to yourself with the wrong mushroom.

I live in Albany Oregon just 2 1/2 hours from where you guys are, I'm a 40 year old RU-vidr myself but I do Video Games and some Live Videos, I grew up Fishing Crabing and Hunting Camping going with my Dad, we are actually going fishing some time this next week or so, there is a Big nice Fishing River in Sweethome Oregon and a Nice river in Siletz OR that my dad and I always go fishing at.
